I was inquiring about a dumpster; there are 2 companies with almost the same name; Affordable Dumpster Services and Affordable Dumpster Rentals. I wanted to secure my dumpster with Affordable Dumpster Services but by accident I completed the online deposit for Affordable Dumpster Rentals, it was $100.00 As soon as I did this I realized it was the wrong company and called, they assured me I wouldn't get charged. I did in fact get charged, first $100.00 then a bit later another charge for $199.00 I called the next morning and spoke with Dane, who was so polite and helpful, and he immediately refunded all of the charges! He could have possibly refused to reverse the charges or given me a hard time, but he didn't!!! For this reason, I feel that this is an honest and fair company to work with. Dane said they didn't want to have customers feeling like they were tricked or taken advantage of, it's just not their business model. I definitely feel that this is a legitimate business and I applaud Dane for his understanding!!!! read more

I have done business with this company in the past and had no issues. Recently, I ordered a dumpster from them for a home clean out and hired labor for a Friday drop off. No dumpster was ever delivered. The company has no weekend support so I had contact them Monday. On Monday, I was informed that the dumpster was delivered to the wrong address. I explained the situation and my frustration to a person with leadership and she showed no empathy of any sorts and was very short with me as if I had made the mistake. She then asked "So what do you want us to do"? I replied "if you cant make this right nothing, Please just cancel the order". There are quite a few options for a dumpster rental available in the Columbus area, use a company that appreciates its customers and has integrity. I will never use this company again! read more

We rented a dumpster from them and the beginning was a positive experience until they attempted to pick it up. We wanted to support a local business. The driver came in after a snowstorm and attempted to pick it up and spun his tires in my front yard until he decided he couldn't get it. Fast forward to a couple weeks later. The dumpster is still here and the driver attempts to pick it up again. I come home and I see the truck pulling away and my driveway is now tore up and more of my lawn. They told me they needed more traction in order to get the dumpster. He came on a day where the temperature hit 50. Prior to that the temperature had been fluctuating so much between warmer and freezing so that day our yard was a sloppy mess. Now one would think that a driver could use his common sense and realize there's no way he can get the dumpster but no he must destroy my property more to show that he made another pickup attempt. When I contacted affordable dumpsters they told me it was my responsibility to clear away all the ice and snow. Which yes I realize is an issue but we have a gravel driveway and there isn't much we can do. The day before they came I had put over 100lbs of salt on my driveway and it did absolutely nothing. What else am I supposed to do? They told me I was basically SOL and that they will not compensate me for any of the damage they have caused. I will never do business with them again and will not be recommending them to anyone. I would give zero stars if I could. read more

Super efficient, I got 2 dumpsters over a 6 month period during a home remodel. They were always easy to deal with. Dropped off on time, and picked up on time. Both the drivers and office staff were very nice to deal with. I would use them again the next time I need a dumpster. read more

It feels like this company is run by amateurs and they have no respect for their customers. I was initially supposed to receive a dumpster rental on the day we received a ton of snow. I never heard from the company and eventually called myself to see if the dumpster would still be dropped off. She informed me that it would not due to the weather, which I totally understood but would've appreciated a call earlier in the day so I could navigate my project. She told me then she would put me on schedule for next Friday for a weekend rental. A week later, I'm waiting all day again for the dumpster to be delivered, no call, no dumpster. I called yet again, and was told that she forgot to transfer my request to the next week. She said she would call dispatch and have them bring me out a dumpster, which arrived a couple hours later. The following Monday I'm waiting for it to be picked up and when I call in, yet again, I was told that they don't do automatic pick ups and I should've called. I expressed to her that I spoke with her on Friday and confirmed with her the Monday pick up on Friday. The person I was speaking with did not care about the misunderstanding, she kept saying what other people "normally" do and said she never spoke with me when I have talked to her about 4 times now. Even when I told her I would've understood about the misunderstanding, she said some thing under her breath. I said excuse me? She said "Oh nothing, I'm just talking to my coworker." Extremely disrespectful, this employee is a joke. There's better companies out there for your dumpster rental. read more

Not typically something I'd review but considering that I actually checked to see if this dumpster rental company had reviews vs a competitor I had to try. Not much. It would've been cool to have a legitimate one. Based on a couple disgruntled reviews I asked my best friend of these guys were good, and his exact words were, "yeah, I use them all the time". That's all he said. Do I believe he uses them "all the time"? No, I do not. So I got a couple quotes from other companies. Here's what happened: I called Wednesday morning around 8pm. The lady was very pleasant and I was expecting to have to wait a day Bc it might be short notice. Nope. She said I could have one delivered the same day at 11am. Told me the rate. $225 for five days. Sold. That simple. Told her the address and how I'd pay. And it really, really was this simple. Use common sense. Make sure there is access to a spot on your property for a guy/girl to maneuver the truck and drop the dumpster. Guy was 30 minutes late but I was called ahead. No big deal. Took two minutes to drop the dumpster. Thanked the man. Paid. He left. Called Thursday morning(today) told them they are free to pick up Bc I got what I needed out of it. Lady was polite and informed me they'd pick it up Friday. read more

I don't know why the rating is so low they are priced well below the market and even if u go a day or two longer 5 dollars a day is nothing best bang for the buck and they dropped and picked it up right where I asked the driver did a great job. read more

STAY AWAY! I would give zero stars if possible. When I first called, Mary seemed less than friendly, but I decided to give it a shot. Scheduled a 6-8 drop off window. At 8 o'clock I received a call to say they were on their way. I asked how long and then said 20 minutes. I told them I had been waiting 2 hours and why was I not informed they would be late. Mary stated that they do their best to be on time but things happen. I once again questioned why they did not contact me until 8 when clearly they knew before 8 that they were going to be late. Mary then said they do not normally schedule 6-8 drop offs and implied they were doing me a favor. Initially they had offered several drop off times and they included 6-8 pm. Never once did she apologize or try to be considerate. They clearly don't know the meaning of customer service. Apparently affordable means rude, inconsiderate and unreliable.
