I spoke clearly and in English to the rep when I made the appointment. She explained to me that that I could get the Exam on the appointment date but the cleaning wold be scheduled later. I ageed and she verified my insurance. Then 2 days before the appointment some one else calls me from there to tell me that my insurance would not cover the Premier dentist. So I was forced to cancel my appointment. I have not been able to get a dental appointment in 3 years in Kalamazoo.

Thinking it might be dental-related, I started calling around trying to find help. Since I'm not a full-time resident in the area, I needed a practice willing to take on a new patient in an emergency situation. After several calls and multiple offices turning me away, Centre Smile Dental said, "Of course -- come in now." From the moment I walked into the Paw Paw location, I was welcomed with smiles and compassion. I filled out paperwork, had X-rays done, and before I knew it, after thorough consultation with Doctor Joseph, I had two teeth extracted due to a severe infection. People don't realize how dangerous a mouth infection can become if left untreated -- it can spread to the bloodstream or even the brain. Within 20 minutes of the extractions, I already started feeling relief. I'm incredibly appreciative that Centre Smile Dental was willing to see me on such short notice, especially right before a holiday weekend and being an out of towner. When I went in there she came up with a plan that would help me get things fixed but wouldn't dent my pocket. She gets to know you as the patient in a way that's like you're at the hair salon. The front desk lady, Olivia is absolutely amazing I've asked her to print things and questions that may be hard to answer and she gives me an answer with a smile on her face. All the front desk ladies do. The hygienists and the dental assistants are absolutely amazing as well. I got over my fear of dentists and needles in my mouth because of this place and the amazing people who are employed here. I definitely recommend coming here. The Community Care Department approved the consultation to be scheduled at the Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, the Briarwood Valley Office Park. West Main. suite 200, Kalamazoo, MI 49006 location. I called the the phone number (269-388-2026) listed for that office, on the date of 02/20/2026. I had spoken with an employee of the Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and was able to schedule an appointment for 03/04/2026 at 1300. Again, this appointment was scheduled for the Briarwood Valley Office Park. West Main. suite 200, Kalamazoo, MI 49006 location. As I had arrived to my scheduled appointment at the Briarwood Valley Office Park. West Main. suite 200, Kalamazoo, MI 49006 location on 03/04/2026, I noticed a marquee sign located at the entrance of the Office Park, the sign did advertise the information for the Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. As I arrived in front of suite 200, I noticed a sign mounted on the side of the building stating information for the Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. As I had entered the office to the joining offices, I see another sign presenting the information for the Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery mounted on the wall, next to the office entry door. And then I noticed a paper size note taped to the glass door. The paper note stated "Our West Main office is closed today". In my confusion, I called the number listed on the paper size note. I was able to speak with an employee of Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and had been notified that the West Main office has been closed for three years. Again, they want me to believe that this location has been closed for three years. The website for the Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, has two locations listed for services. The West Main location is one. There is an active phone number listed on the website for the West Main location. There is a Marquee sign at the entrance of the Office Park with their information. There is an active sign on the side of building near the entry door. There was a paper size note taped to the entry door stating that they are closed today. The office does seem to be an active Dental office, with furniture. And for my favorite, I was able to schedule the appointment at the West Main office with an employee of Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. The Department of Veterans Affairs Community Care staff were confused with the information as well. The staff at the Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, informed the Community Care Office that they called my phone number to cancel the appointment at the West Main location. but, my phone number must not be in service. I have not received any apologies for the Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Nor would I believe that one could be sincere. I will not be using this Dental office in the future.

I had a referral for an extraction and within two weeks I was sitting in the chair. I had sedation and clearly didn't feel a thing. Best part is the next day. No swelling , bruising or pain. The office called the next morning to check on me which I thought was wonderful and made me feel valued and cared for. . Thank you for everything !!!
