We called one company that had excellent reviews, they sent someone out to access the roof, and he said they would get back to us in a few days. Almost two weeks went by, and there was no follow-up. So,...we called another company in our area that had excellent reviews. They were very pleasant on the phone, and set up a solid appointment for the following week, for someone to come out. No one ever showed up for the appointment, and there was no follow-up. Hence, we called Wild Roofing, and spoke with Paul. He let us know someone would come out to assess the damaged roof - damaged from our last hurricane - and get back to us. His nephew, Michael, came out and spoke with us not too long after that. He got up on the roof, took photos, and got back to us with an estimate. He was prompt, efficient, and extremely personable. We decided to go with them, and have a new roof. It was installed by some HARD working fellows, done in a few days, and everything was completely cleaned up - yard, walkway, driveway, etc. From our recent experience, we can recommend them without any reservations, as they were the ONLY ones who were prompt, and did what they said they would do.

Two of the other higher estimates were using 15 lbs felt and then the shingles. Roofs for life used a watertight peal-n-stick underlayment which I was unfamiliar with. I checked it out and it got totally great reviews as being better than felt. It was put on the same day, along with a new skylight, as the old roof was removed and from that point on my roof was watertight. 30 year shingles were then put on the next day. Removal and installation was neat and expediate with the owner on site providing updates to me as they went along.
