The ladies at the front desk definitely were friendly, knowledgeable, patient and helpful with checking in + registering. The registration was via a QR code so was quick and easy. The wait did take an hour, even though i was only 4th in line. There is complimentary coffee and water while you wait. The one thing about the waiting area is that everyone can hear your business because it's a small area. The doctor (John Cellucci) is an interesting character. He mumbles a lot so it's hard to understand and kind of goes through things quickly. I did make me feel like I were a burden when I asked a question. I get they were busy and probably needed to get through all patients in a timely manner. Chose this location because it was close on proximity to my house and to a pharmacy. My experience wasn't bad, but nothing grabbed my loaylty. Open to exploring other urgent cares in the future. read more

I've been to this Urgent Care a bunch of times over the years and have had good experiences each time. Some of the doctors are better and more attentive than others, and the rest of the staff is great and keep things running smoothly. The waiting room and exam rooms are comfortable - it's nice that they have TVs in each exam room to keep patients occupied while waiting to be seen. Overall, it's a good place to go when you're not feeling well and I love that it's so close to home. read more

I was sick with a pretty gnarly cough for 3 weeks before I decided to walk in.. I was early so I was the first to be seen - probably not even a 10 minute wait - and it took all of a couple tests to figure out what I needed to start feeling better.. Cold medicines including mucinex, theraflu and delsym weren't helping because it turned out I had a lower respiratory infection.. Dr Leech prescribed me the necessary medication and less than a week later it's the best I've felt in a month. Thank you! read more

The Good The doctor was good here. Listened and made attempts to understand. Very helpful in getting what I needed. The Bad Pretty much everything else. The staff was cold at best and simply didn't know things they should. I just love being gaslit by someone who doesn't know but talks to me if I don't. After providing my insurance, the lady made me pay over $100 and telling me that was my copay. It was not. My copay is never more than 20% of the visit (whatever the contracted rate the provider has with my insurance). She told me I had to submit to my insurance for reimbursement. I did. They denied it because AFC billed the insurance and was paid by the insurance company resulting in a double payment. It took me calling and someone having to enter a request for reimbursement to get my money back. Which most likely wouldn't happen if I never called. In this case, my actual copay was $20.22. Moreover, as I'm sitting in the waiting room, they have a sign saying if you have any insurance other than Medicaid/Medicare (I always forget which is which), you have to provide a credit card for them to keep on file to bill you. Another patient came in and had that Medicaid/Medicare insurance and they wouldn't see her unless she put a card on file. They didn't even follow their own posted policy. I know many places are simply money-grubbing but this place doesn't even make an effort to hide it. Mind you, my wife and daughter visited this place before me, but were not made to pay like I was. I hesitate to bring race into this, but there is no other difference between me and them (daughter looks like mom) and it's all my insurance anyway. Not saying that was a factor, but I'm simply trying to find out why my experience was so different than theirs. read more

I brought in my 5 year old after she was vomiting and having ear pain. The staff was so kind and compassionate with her, working quickly to get her feeling well as soon as they could. I didn't realize until I was already there that the check-in process is done online through your phone. These are the most incompetent medical staff I have ever encountered in my 50 years of life. I was injured at work on 1-10-25. Unfortunately, my employer contracts with this joke of an agency. I was there for 2.5 hours and it was not even crowded. They were out of large sized walking casts and squeezed me into a medium. They gave me a disk to present to my physician which they claimed contained my x-rays. It turned out to be blank. After several requests by myself, my employer's workers comp care nurse, and my physician's staff, AFC claimed three weeks later that they would mail me another disk containing my x-rays. They lied. The care nurse ended up picking up another disk, which was also blank. I have spoken to the woman in charge of AFC who is just as incompetent as her line staff. I was injured over two months ago, and my physician still does not have my original x-rays. They really do not care about their patients. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Went there long wait. Nice doctor but staff cold. Called for 3 days to get test results for flu a b and cov19 still no results. They said system down. Crazy. I went there and was luckily in and out within an hour. The staff was kind and they have complimentary coffee/water (as you have already seen in pictures). One thing that's important to know is you will NOT be seen if you cannot pay your copay. After I completed my form I was told to pay my copay. They had a sign stating that you pay first then get seen but it was hidden on the desk behind a box of tissues. I saw a father and son come in and sit for 20mins filling out the paperwork just to be turned away because they couldn't pay their $50 copay. The room I went in had a TV which was nice for waiting. The table paper the previous patient sat on was not changed so I stood until a nurse came in to change it. She seemed annoyed I asked for it to be changed? The doctor I saw I couldn't understand. He was mumbling the entire time and didn't make any sense. I had to have him repeat things several times and still couldn't understand. I told him I didn't want a pill prescription and he said okay he'll prescribe something else. I went to my pharmacy and saw he prescribed a pill prescription. What a waste of time. This place is my go to when I can't get into my regular pcp bc I'm sick . Dr Cellucci ( I think that's how you spell it ) really takes the time to help . I'm usually sick as a dog when I go in bc you know I'm a mom and can never find the time to heal myself . Don't go here for the immigration biopsy. They take forever with your paper work and unless you call everyday they put you on the sideline. Avoid this place ! They set up appointments for my kids to get Covid test , billed us and then turned us away after driving there and waiting in line. Instead go to Personic Health Care. Both tests covered by insurance -AFC would not do both tests and charged for the rapid only to turn us away. Results from Personic in 20 minutes with exceptional customer/patient service. Stay away from AFC Aston. Or anywhere for that matter. I'm reporting them to the PA Department of Health and the Attorney General's Office. read more

We moved here recently and have visited this location with my two year old 3 times. The local Children's hospital urgent care has limited hours. The staff is so nice and accommodating. So very sweet to my son. Even gave him a popsicle for the long wait. Glad I did not read the negative reviews. read more

very unhappy with the front desk and the contradicting messages I got. I first went here and I saw Claire the nurse practitioner who I was very happy with and also told me if I followed up within the week there would not be another charge. then I received a call at home from urgent care front desk saying that I would get billed because my insurance said so. when I called my insurance company, they said that's not accurate that is long as it's billed as a follow up it is not charged. I had called several times before I drove up there to clarify with the office manager, and they told me she would call back that day and no one called. The next day Claire did call me herself to ask how everything was and I told her I might stop back in just to be sure. I not only got left on hold twice, for a long time, and I hung up and called back .When I went back for a follow up (8/9 )before the week was out, the phone just went to voicemail so I had to drive there to see if needed to be treated further since I couldn't speak to anyone, I made several attempts at calling. When I got there they wanted me to fill out another registration saying it was a new system and I said you can transfer that over which I find hard to believe, then I realized they were trying to bill my insurance company again For a follow up that I was told not be charged. I brought my young daughter into see him - he was rude and arrogant - he would ask me questions then interrupt and not let me explain. Reception was ok... I was clearly in pain and had a severe throat illness, but they kept asking me to repeat myself! Really, give me a piece of paper! Went here Monday 3/13/17 because my GP couldn't see me until late afternoon, and thought I should go to ER or Urgent care, ER might have been cheaper, I have Personal Choice and this cost me $151.00! Once in to see Dr. he was nice enough, but after asking me to open my mouth wider, I replied I couldn't, so then he gets a tongue depressor. My mouth, neck, and throat are visibly swollen and infected... he tells me it looks like strep, and they do a rapid strep and a lab culture strep. The rapid comes back negative, but he sets me up for strep treatment, and tells me to watch out if my symptoms don't improve or get worse, that I'll need to go to ER for an abscess drainage. I ask about pain relief and he suggests possibles or Tylenol. I've already told him I can't swallow more than the tiniest sip, and that it's like swallowing razor blades. The next day we call to get lab results, no answer. Wednesday the 15th I go see my ENT who immediately diagnoses me with tonsillitis, NOT strep, and peritonsullar abscess, which I probably already had on Monday. My ENT added some meds, including a pain med, because he readily agreed that it's an extremely painful illness, and being sick and in pain doesn't automatically make someone a drug seeker. Bottom line, I still haven't heard back with my lab results, and I think they gave the strep diagnosis because they didn't want to admit they couldn't treat me and lose that insanely high copay. I saw Dr. Ellis on Saturday morning for what I thought were cracked ribs. After a reasonable wait in the waiting room, I was taken back where a nurse interviewed me and took my vitals. Dr. Ellis came in for an exam and took a lot of time explaining his findings. After x-rays were taken, he informed me my gibs were just badly bruised. He gave me instructions and a script for meds. All in all, a very pleasant experience with a pleasant and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend this facility. read more

My normal physician was on vacation and his nurse practitioner had a family emergency so she was out of the office. His associate unable to see me until Monday. I had an extreme pain in my right foot and could not walk on it on Friday so I went to Urgent care on Saturday morning. I was amazed how quickly I was in and out of urgent care The doctor prescribed medication for the inflammation and an antibiotic. Less then 18 hours later I can feel remarkable improvement in my foot. Wasn't sure how I felt about Urgent care but would definitely recommend this one. read more

My toddler came down with an ear infection this afternoon. She's only 4 and was rolling around, crying inconsolably, couldn't get comfortable, had a fever and red cheeks. We usually go to CHOP Urgent Care in Glen Mills but they are suddenly closed Wednesday-Saturday so we came here for the first time on a whim because it was close to our house. Everyone here was SO rude except the doctor. The girl at the front desk was slamming clipboards around, didn't say please or thank you not one time, was super rude when I asked a simple question, and was FURIOUS when she found out we hadnt been here before since I guess that's more work for her. The nurse who did height, weight and vitals wasn't any better. Next time I will just wait until her doctors office opens the next day rather than go through that horrible place. The doctor was nice, but I mentioned that she complains about her legs hurting a lot and asked if he had ever heard that before and he said, "she walks around okay, right?" and that was it. CLIENTS BEWARE! Zero compassion and worst customer service ever experienced! They will throw you and your sick child out in the street! Please read till the end and save yourself a trip. Upon arrival to the center, I walked up to the reception and the lady just looked at me. I greeted her, and she greeted back without further comment--no "How can I help you?" "What brings you here, today?" nothing. I was confused and stuttered a bit, before volunteering that I was bringing my son in for cramps and explosive diarrhea. She asked me for my license and insurance, which I provided. In providing the insurance, I explained that I have an international insurance which corresponds to AETNA PPO in the U.S.-Bottom line is that I can see any provider in the U.S. without referral, and in fact ACF is listed as #3 on the list of in-network providers. She ignored my entire explanation, and retorted "I've never heard of your insurance" and stated that she couldn't find my insurance in their system. I decided to call my insurance company, who explained that international insurances must be looked up a certain way, and she could walk them through it. I tried to have them speak with my insurance representative, and they initially refused. After really insisting, they finally agreed to take the call. They told the insurance rep that they only accepted AETNA from El Paso, the insurance rep confirmed that this was indeed AETNA, El Paso. They then asked her to confirm the P.O. Box, when she did, they said that it didn't match the one in their system. As my son was rolling on the floor in excruciating pain, the woman literally said, "you can feel free to go somewhere else, there are many urgent cares." I was so shocked, I told myself, I must not have heard her right. I asked, "I am sorry, did you say that I can feel free to go somewhere else?" She replied, "Well, yeah, we can't accept your insurance, there are other urgent cares around." Stunned, I said, "why would you say that to me? What kind of operation asks a potential client to go somewhere else? Why are you being so unhelpful? I am here with a sick child who is literally rolling on the floor in pain, and you are like 'Go somewhere else,' have you such little compassion?" At which point, she said , "Ok, you can leave right now, or we will call the cops," and her colleague echoed her, saying, "this is private property, leave now, or we are calling the cops." Of course, I grabbed my child off the floor and got out of there as fast as I could. I got in my car and bawled all the way to the next urgent care--Christiana Care, where I received exceptional service. What really shocked me to the core, what I still can't grapple with, is what in me did they find so threatening, that their gut reaction to my expressing my indignation at how I was being treated, was to threaten to call the cops. I am 42 years old, and in my entire life, no one has ever treated me this way. As they sat behind their encased glass, what they did think a 5 foot 4, 120 lbs. mother with a child rolling on the floor in pain would do to them? read more

I was not able to see my primary care physician because they were overbooked. My Doctors Nurse told me to go to this urgent care for treatment. I was impressed by my quick evaluation and excellent care by Dr. Cellucci. I was diagnosed and treated with a nebulizer at afc urgent care. They explained to me what to do with my prescriptions when I pick them up. Today I actually received a follow up call and was told to call them back if needed. Took my son to this urgent care last week, it was a great experience. Staff was friendly and fast. The Doctor had my son feeling better immediately. He was kind, caring and professional.
