This place needs more signs and better directions. I wasn't sure whether to park in the front in order to pay or in the back. There was no speed limit sign. Main guy was very confrontational. I got called a terrorist within the first 5 seconds of conversation; along with the threat of guantanamo bay. If the area around the pumping stations is that dangerous, there needs to be arrows for drivers. I wasn't sure whether I should pull up directly in front of the pump station or if I should walk my tank to them. I decided to park next to the station. I needed my entire fireplace system checkout because it uses LP gas. Northside sent out a technician by the name of Josh who was totally Awesome ! He checked all my valves, looked for leaks, tighten & replaced a valve, lit pilot lights and made sure everything was operating safe and proper . If you need a tech - ask for Josh - he is a younger guy who is very knowledgeable, experienced, and willing to go the mile for his customers. Outstanding customer service skills. In addition, Northside delivers Propane gas - my delivery guy was "Tim" who was on Tim and very knowledgeable and friendly. The office is closed because of Covid but they will charge your credit card so you really do not have to go into the office of any reason anyway. read more

After I go and fill up MYSELF they all of a sudden show up. My employees explained we don't need propane today and then they cancel the account. DO NOT do business with this company. It does not last any longer than the blue rhino refill tanks that can be purchased at Walmart for 15.00. Stay away from this location unless you want to be over charged. If I could give these people a negative star I would. I have been a customer of theirs since 2003 and I don't even know why I stayed with them for so long since they could care less about their customers. Back in December 2022, their driver ran their big tank truck over the newly installed edging of our flower bed and damaged it. I was home at the time and witnessed the incident and the driver doing it. I called and sent emails with pictures explaining what happened to Lisa and Lisa Marie, and they supposedly passed it on to their General manager and owner named Josh. It is now the end of March 2023 and they still have not responded to me. Not only that but they have the nerve to try and bill me for 3 months of service in the meantime! I called again and explained to them that they will not be paid until they fix the damages that their driver caused at our property. And again, Lisa said that she will give Josh the message. These people are the worse and I will be reporting them to the BBB and will be taking my business elsewhere. They clearly do not value their customers much less their longtime customers. There are so many other propane companies out there that we can choose from and it is too bad that they don't care about losing clients. I have no idea why there are so many bad reviews. Shelly was pleasant and transparent in Northside's pricing. Their prices are competitive, and the big plus is that they're a locally owned business. Most people I've talked to recommend Northside. Our gas contractor recommended them, and they were the first to fill the tank. read more

We are building a new house which requires propane. Called Northside Propane over two months ago to set up the new acct and schedule the installation. Called twice during this time to understand the schedule and confirm their participation. Our supervisor from the Home builder called asking for help because they would not return his calls and their holding up progress with the house now. I called and spoke with Shelly this morning to find out they haven't even pulled permits yet and we still don't have an account set up. Over two months???? The excuse was that they are a small company and the leader Dave is in the field installing all day everyday and can't keep up with calling anyone back. I built a new house and Northside Propane installed all my fuel lines and sold me a tankless hot water heater. The installation and service was seamless. The money I'm saving on propane by using the tankless hot water has almost paid for itself. I would highly recommend Northside Propane. They cannot be trusted, bypassed safety which burned up the heating element then blamed the driver as a sub contractor. They are licensed to deliver propane, not fix or repair gas appliances. That should be what they stick to. For a year and half we tried to settle with the GRATTON's (Owners). We were able to sell the house as is. Then they tried to lien on the house for the back monthly charges. While we couldn't use the spa we didn't pay but they would send the driver out to top off the tank each month. It was their tank so I would hope it didn't leak. No lien as we don't own the house. I'm just waiting for a collections company to call has these parasites will not go away. read more

Billing is horrendous. You can have your credit card on file for automatic debit, they don't do it and then charge you for late payment or worst, turn off your propane. They want a fee to turn it back on - sorry, you have the card and we signed up for automatic payment. To make matters worse, whoever came and turned it off, never knocked or informed us, so, when we let out our Frenchie, we didn't know the technician left the gate open and almost lost our dog. Communication is hilarious. I personally get the feeling some of this annoying billing stuff is just to get more money. If anyone has a new company they use and like, please add it here. They do not value the homeowner customer who is filling grill size propane tanks. Not only do they charge more, they simply do not care about the customer. We have been a Northside Propane customer for over 20 years and have experienced very good delivery service with them over those years. Our gas range's computer board died on us two weeks ago and we were forced to purchase a new gas range. We purchased the range on a Tuesday but it would not be delivered until the following Monday. We called Northside to make an appointment for their tech to come out and do the conversion from natural to propane for the following day. Tuesday came and no tech, no phone call from Northside telling us he wasn't coming. I called Wednesday morning and talked to one of the ladies in the office to see if the tech was coming that day. I was told that she didn't handle scheduling and that she was the only one in the office. She took my number and promised she would call me back that morning. At the end of the day, no tech, no phone call. This morning, I had my wife call as I didn't want to speak to anyone in the office. She inquired if the tech would be out today and was told that he is working out of town the entire day. Had we not called, we would have had another day just sitting there waiting for the tech to show up. We called another company. If all you need is gas delivery, I would recommend them. For service, however, they are one of the worse companies I have had to deal with. They are a small company with four ladies working in the office. The least they can do is have the common courtesy to call you back and inform you of the status of you appointment. read more

The only reason for 1 star is because I can't write a review with negative stars, which is all this company deserves. We had been a customer of this "company" for 5 years. A couple weeks ago we asked for our tank to be filled. NO ONE showed up. I called the next day and was told the driver stopped by and could not get his truck back to fill up the tank. After 5 years AND NOW he can't get to the tank????? After checking with my employees, I find out NO ONE was ever here from Northside Propane. I called back and then I was told, "No, the driver did not come out, but left a note saying he could not get to our tank" So basically I was LIED TO. Funny thing is, when I switched companies to Suburban, Northside had NO PROBLEM getting to the tank to remove it. We are VERY PLEASED with the service we are receiving from Suburban, compared to NO SERVICE and sorry non exsistant customer service from Northside. We were a long term customer of Northside Propane with no complaints. Service was good and we had a great business relationship. I noticed we were being billed at 5.00/gallon for propane and compared prices, to realize we were being grossly over billed. After conversing with Northside they nicely agreed to drop my price by 3.00/gallon. Yes, that is 3.00/gallon. I thanked them and ask for credit for almost a year of the overage in their prices. This request was denied. We no longer are buying our propane from Northside. My fault for trusting in integrity, their fault for taking advantage of a customer that let his guard down due to a trusting relationship. Our experience is that this company grossly overbills, practices deceptive pricing, and provides horrible account service. We contracted with Northside Propane about 5 years ago to provide propane to our restaurant. We got bids from a number of companies, and Northside came in the lowest. They pledged to bill us a fixed rate over a stated index (Belleview). After the first few months, we noticed that they were billing far more than was stated, and they refunded us the difference. We got busy, had some management turnover, and did not check their bills until early this year. When we did check it again, we were shocked at how they steadily increased their billings each month way over the index they said they would use. These overbillings were over $12,000. When we tried to reach the owner/manager, they would not return calls. We were never rude or unprofessional to them in any way - they just would not call back. After many attempts, I finally got through on a number they did not recognize. The General Manager agreed that we had been overbilled and offered a credit for just the prior six months of overbillings, an amount of $1,268. We took the credit but then asked them to credit back to when the overbillings started again. We even offered to allow them to credit it back over a period of time. These overbillings amounted to over $12,000 in total. The General Manager refused to credit anything more than just the prior 6 months of overbilling. He acknowledged that they again overbilled us, but then refused to make it right. I then tracked down the owner, Paul Gratton, and he asked me to send our analysis of the overbilling; I did so, and then he would not return my calls. We have cancelled our service with Northside Propane and urge consumers to be very careful about doing business with this company. They did provide product to us on a timely basis, but way overcharged for it. Check your billings against other companies if you are using Northside Propane - you may be shocked. read more

This company has a contract with me for a flat monthly charge to be included in any gas replaced in the tank. They started billing me on a four week bases verses monthly bases effectively giving them another month of billing every year. I can't believe that I am the only customer affected by this. read more
