Between the medical doctors and the KU sports nutritionists who do not follow up or provide a care plan over the course of the last few years watched me go into osteoporosis as a 51-year-old female. They did no testing for testosterone or other hormones that may be affecting bone health. I came to regain with the anticipation I would be in good hands. I should have been skeptical with the recommendation as they were the ones who did not provide referrals to alternative medicines or solutions sooner. Regain functional medicine did not fully complete a hormonal history for my specific situation. Even after requesting a new nurse who had only been practicing functional medicine for three months, I was still left on progesterone which has caused significant distress. They put me on 100 mg of commercial progesterone although I had not been on any hormones for two decades. The cookie cutter high cost program Dr. Gaumer has put in place is dangerous and reckless. Women please try to do your research even though the ocean of information and misinformation is overwhelming. I will be seeking treatment somewhere else in the city...the on-line options are even more overwhelming than local ones.
