I've been coming to this dentist for almost 8 years now and have seen a number of changes over the years. Since it's been a while since my last review, I thought I'd provide an update with clearer pros/cons.
PROs
SPECIALTY & EXPERIENCE
Dr Alex Naini takes time out to get additional training, attend workshops and conferences, connect with mentors with decades of experience treating patients with various dental problems. This translates to a doctor with well-rounded experience that can help you find the right solution, even if it means taking a more conservative approach rather than jumping right into the costlier alternative.
BEDSIDE MANNER
Dr. Naini is calm, friendly, patient and will take as much time needed to make sure you have the answers you need to make an informed decision. She doesn't hesitate to go above and beyond either, something she does with new patients and with old patients as well.
PAYMENT PLANS/PROGRAMS
I know in the past they had a few payment plans and payment programs available to help break down the cost of procedures into more manageable monthly payments. I'm not sure of all the ins/outs of it since I've always used my FSA and never participated in the programs myself. But I felt it was worthwhile to mention.

CONs
NO HAPPY GAS - Yes, it is a dental spa but there's no laughing gas for procedures here. If you're antsy about certain dental procedures (with all their drills, sounds, probing and prodding) and can only sit still with the help of laughing gas then this might not be the right place for you.
INSURANCE CLAIMS - As another yelper mentioned here, she's not an in-network dentist and while they will submit your insurance claim on your behalf there's a lot of problems that can and do come along with that. You will pay more out of pocket here than you would elsewhere. However, you will also get more specialized care here than many other dental offices in the area. You have to decide which one you're most able to tolerate.
STAFF CHANGEOVER - There's been several major staff changes since I've started coming here. Sometimes its personal (career, health, family, etc) other times, not so much. While that can mean new insights and new methods, that also means major learning curves. There's new staff to learn the systems, how things are done here, etc and that can mean incorrect data put into your file, late invoices, unfiled claims, wrong addresses on file etc. This has been a repeated experience of mine and honestly it's beyond nerve racking. I keep coming to this office because of the dentist and her TMJ Disorder specialty but I can see why others may want to give up and just go to another office after a few rounds of this.
With these cons you, as the patient, will really have to be very diligent with making sure your claims are submitted on time to the right insurance company and more than likely you'll have to do it multiple times and it will end up being more expensive than a regular in-network doctor.
