I was telling this story to some friends, thinking they would side with me. Nope. They suggested their dentist, Dr. Warr. Then one actually made an appointment for me. Scared and very uncomfortable, I made it to my scheduled appointment for a cleaning. The entire office is full of amazing photographs taken by Dr. Warr himself. You feel like you are in an art gallery. My mind and body started to relax. The much needed cleaning was painless and pretty easy. Michelle explained everything along the way, including the new technology x-rays and cavity scanning device. One of the highlights was the cherry paste. It wasn't like the gross tutti fruitti or bubblegum I've had in the past. It was actually a delightful flavor. Then comes the moment of truth. Even though I had no cavities (holla!), there were some blemishes I needed to get taken care of soon. Dr. Warr had room in the schedule and completed the procedure right away! I am completely freaked out by the huge dentist numbing needle. Dr. Warr held it at an angle and moved very swiftly so that I didn't panic. His office is conveniently located in Southfield where I live, and right off some major expressways. I called to make an appointment and the person answering the phone couldn't have been more reassuring and helpful. She was very sweet and was able to get me an appointment relatively soon. But before I was scheduled to come in, one of my teeth started up with a hellatious tooth ache. I was in agonizing pain, and the problem was that it was a holiday weekend, and I didn't know what I was going to do. I called Dr. Warr's office, and someone called me back right away. She actually contacted the Dr. on his vacation, and he listened to my case even though he hadn't met me in person yet. He was able to call something in so I wouldn't be in hell anymore. Then they squeezed me in as soon as he was back, and he took care of the pain. The office is small and definitely has a retro feel, but it is beautifully decorated with large and impressive photos from all around the world. I felt like I was looking at a national geographic magazine. The Doctor is the photographer! This man is very talented! He is very kind and warm, as well are his staff. Michelle cleans my teeth and she cracks me up while she's quickly and efficiently cleaning my teeth. I will see Dr. Warr until he retires no doubt. I love knowing I can trust my Dentist and his team. Dr. Alsaidi saved my life. Bone infections can kill you. The infections had spread, and I found out that there was no other way to treat bone infections, except extractions and bone grafts. I lost a lot of teeth, because of poor dentistry. That was almost 3 years ago. I am now finished with all of my work. Healthy bones and implants, all thanks to Michigan Gum Docs, Dr. Alsaidi. He is kind and caring and so is the staff. Through all of this, my son was married, I lost my mom, and became a grandmother.
