I dropped in last weekend with my mom, siblings and a couple other gals to get our hair done for my sister's wedding. The six of us (the bride, bridesmaids and mother of the bride) had our hair done by Kelly and Jessica (they each did three do's). Before arriving at the salon, I was a woman on a mission to make sure Kelly did my hair.....since she's the only stylist I knew at the salon. But of course, my mother and both sisters are also Kelly fans as well - and Kelly had already practiced with the other ladies' hair and had a plan in place. As soon as I saw Jessica start to work I knew I'd be okay. Just like Kelly, she was super competent and great with updos. My hair looked amazing! I got so many compliments on it. Everyone else's hair looked great too. All six of us entered the salon with varying degrees of knowing what we wanted.....and the ladies did a amazing job either matching our requests or helping us find the perfect updo. And the atmosphere was so nice, too. We ordered pastries and sandwiches from Felicia's (next door) and sipped on mimosas during the three hours we were there. Even though I offered mimosas to both Kelly and Jessica, they both opted against champagne while working on our hair....probably the professional decision. Thanks so much to Mirror Image, Kelly and Jess for helping to make my sister's wedding day special!

Our room was ready and check-in went smoothly. We stayed in a suite with a king-size bed. The bed was fantastic. The room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom was quite large. After we settled in we stopped in Ascots Pub for lunch. We grabbed a Kensington Burger. It was excellent. Perfectly cooked on a delicious Brioche roll. I also had a fantastic beer recommended by Maria our bartender who was awesome! The beer was Thomas Hooker No filter. Excellent IPA. Very crisp , not to hoppy wits definite citrus taste. For dinner we went to Kensingtons. Classy high end restaurant with great atmosphere and service. We started with drinks. Old fashioned for me , lemon drop martini for my beautiful wife. Both great. For dinner . I started with the New England clam chowder. Very good, not as good perhaps Newport RI where my wife is from but for a Long Island guy pretty good. A bit of pepper did the trick. My wife had filet mignon medallions which included puffy potato crochets . She said the potatoes were pillowy and amazing. Steak was delicious. 2 nice sized pieces seasoned and cooked to perfection I had the Ricotta gnocchi. Good, not great for me. I enjoyed the gnocchi but it was too busy with excessive vegetables and such. Still, quite tasty. The following day we attended our family wedding. Awesome time. Most of which was just centered around our family and enjoying a great time! However, the food was great, the staff was efficient and friendly. Upon leaving my wife and I decided we are heading back next year. We definitely plan to again enjoy the dining experience but will definitely partake in the spa as well. No

It's easy to fall asleep whether you are in the relaxation room or during a treatment. My granddaughter really wanted to get a massage but was a bit uncertain so we opted for the duet massage. We were in adjoining rooms with an accordion door that opened up so we could enjoy the massages together. The ladies did such a good job on us. We left feeling very relaxed. My granddaughter had a facial and her skin was absolutely glowing afterwards. She was happy to have had it done and kept talking about how soft her skin felt. We had lunch at Kensington's. We shared a delicious appetizer of Korean fried chicken. For lunch she ordered the steak frites and enjoyed every morsel. I had the caprese flatbread, which was delicious and light. Perfect for a day at the spa. We enjoyed the amenities they offer very much. There is a pool, hot tub and sauna to use throughout your visit. They offer complimentary snacks in the afternoon just outside of the spa entrance. She was so relaxed that she slept most of the 45 minute drive home. I'm so glad they allow 14 year olds there. My granddaughter wants to make this an annual event each year. She thought it was nice to walk around all day in a robe as well as enjoying everything the Spa has to offer. I'm hoping next year we can stay at the Inn. I've stayed there many times and love it.
