I'm originally from Central Connecticut and any spa that performed a lip wax always cleansed the area of makeup base and used a magnifying loop to better see the baby fine hairs on the lip. Then pluck a couple that may be strays and apply a soothing lotion. Thus owner did not use a loop, rushed through the process, I told her I could still feel a ton of prickly hairs so she proceeds to rant about hiw she's a legend in the industry. She then gets aggressive with tweezing BUNCHES of hairs all at the same time which HURT!! Why was so much still there?? Never applied any soothing lotion!! She is absolutely a train wreck and unprofessional!! I have never experienced this at other spas over 4 decades of having this performed, EVER!!

This was one of the better stores that I have been to so far. The customer service was pretty good,…read moreand the store was clean and well stocked. I felt comfortable spending as much time as I needed in the makeup department, and I left wanting to return again. Not something I can say for the other stores. The reason I didn't give this store 5 stars is because when entering the store some of the women who worked there gave me looks and made me feel like I was being watched and judged. I was greeted hesitantly, and then the employees started talking amongst themselves. Sadly I noticed this is a trend in most Ulta stores. Thankfully there was the sweetest woman working in the high end makeup section who was like a breath of fresh air from all the other stores. She was very happy and down to earth, and even complimented me on how beautiful my makeup looked. She would be the main reason I would consider returning to this store. She was not pushy whatsoever, gave me space to look for however long, yet gently made sure that I was finding everything i needed and was willing to help. The store was well stocked, especially in the high end makeup section (which I have pictures of). They had a lot of palettes that the others don't have in stock, such as the Jaclyn Hill palette. A few brands were missing testers, but did have the actual product right behind it. Every brand had almost their entire line on display, something that is odd for Ulta. Another thing that was surprising to me was that they had almost all of the Organix hair products, whereas other stores only have a few different ones. This Ulta is almost 40 minutes away from my house, but I am willing to travel for the customer service. My experience here was a good one, besides the few judge mental workers (which is to be expected I suppose). So long as I can shop in peace, I'm good. I will definitely be returning!

I cant remember her name but she's the one that seems to speak English the best. That's who did my pedicure. maybe she's the owner I'm not sure. But the moment she asked me if I was getting spa treatment added and I declined her whole mood changed. And that should've been the first red flag but because I came here before I didn't really think anything of it. my pedicure was rushed And I mean rushed the quickest pedicure I've ever had lol. Like 30 minutes and even then I feel like I'm being generous. a lady next to me who got gel French as well with NO spa treatment, we were seated at the same time, started at the same time and I was done before her. My pinky toe was cut extremely short to where it looked like a had no toe nail and just my skin was painted. At first glance the pedicure looked okay. But two hours after I left the buisness I go home and the gel was peeling clean off my toes. All I did after the pedicure was pick up groceries and my children. I've been getting gel French pedicures for the past 15 years and never experienced this anywhere. there was gel in the cracks of my toenail that were peeling and cracking and I knew if I peeled it all the gel on my toes would come off with it. And after that I really examined my pedicure. By my cuticle on my big toe wasn't even painted 3/4 of my toe was done and I didn't even think that was possible. my toenails were round instead of square and were different shapes and uneven . I gave the lady a $15 tip on top of paying $70 for a pedicure ONLY. Because as I said I've been here before and received good service. I called the establishment and the woman who answered that I'm pretty sure was the one who did it just said sorry and hung up . No type of resolution, no offer to fix it, NOTHING. just took my money . If I were anybody I would pick a different establishment for a spa mani pedi treatment and I am moving forward. I DONT EVER RECOMMEND COMING HERE TO ANYONE. I literally peeled it off and had to except I got jipped $100. After reading other reviews a lot of other customers experienced similar things as me as well recently.
