    I can't ever figure out how to do my brows. Robin always makes them look perfect. I love how relaxing the space is.

This is how I left the salon…read more I have never experienced such bad customer service becs of the fact that I said my fingers were hurting and I wanted her to stop. The person who was doing my nails was so rough and seemed like she didn't know what she was doing. She cut my skin so many times and my cuticles started to bleed. SHE NEVER EVEN APOLOGIZED. After I told her to stop Becs my fingers were hurting so bad from all the cuts she gave me, I told her I just wanted her to take it off. She then called over the owner I assum and she asked me if I ever got my nails done before and I said yes but I haven't gotten it done for around 8 months since I've moved to Connecticut and I've NEVER had my hands hurt like this to the point where I'm SHAKING. She goes on to say I'm just very tender handed and that they've been doing this for over 10 years and they also stated that they've cut their clients before some people can handle it and some people can't. (NOTE IF YOU WORK FOR OVER 10 YEARS DOING NAILS AND YOU STILL CUT YOUR CLIENTS, YOU SHOULDNT BE DOING NAILS PERIOD!) I asked if I can come back next time with someone I previously wanted to go to becs I liked her work but then THAT GIRL states she works just the same and she might cut me too so at that point I wanted to just get out. They kept saying things under their breath about me in Spanish as well and I told the girl just leave it I'll fix it myself and walked out. As I walked out they made a smart ass remark and said have a good weekend knowing damn well I was crying becs of how mean they were. Bunch of bullies who treated me like I've never done my nails before. I've worked at a nail salon for a year and THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO A CLIENT BEFORE. DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!

The owner, Holly, Re-scheduled/Cancelled on me four times in a row- 20 minutes before each appointment, with very poor business etiquette. This entire experience felt like a scam! I consider myself a very positive, understanding and upbeat individual, I am not one to leave negative reviews, nor am I one to speak negatively about anyone, but my experience was terrible, and I feel I must warn others before doing business with PINK Brow & Beauty Bar. I began my experience with a free consultation for hair extensions. The owner of this salon, Holly, consulted me regarding the extensions, as she did not explain in depth how she would install them, nor did she allow me to look at or chose my color hair, the consultation felt informal. As I put my trust in her, we then proceeded to schedule an appointment to install the extensions, at this initial consultation I pre-purchased and she ordered the extensions. One week later, the day of my application appointment right before I was about to go in, I received a text message from Holly, stating that she just looked at the tracking number and the extensions were not in yet. This was shocking to me that she had not looked at the tracking number beforehand and waited to message me last minute. At this time, she let me know she was going on a trip and would be able to take me in on the day she arrived back the following week. I proceeded to be kind and allow her to reschedule me. The day of my second re-scheduled appointment- 20 minutes before the appointment- I received another text from Holly, stating that she became ill and was unable to take me and wanted to re-schedule. I mentioned I was very sorry to hear this but I was disappointed because I was already on my way to the salon for our appointment and this is the second time she had re-scheduled. She mentioned she was available in a few days and she proceeded to re-schedule yet another appointment for a few days later. The day of my third appointment, once again- 20 minutes before my actual appointment-I was driving to the salon and I received another text message from Holly, stating, "Brandy... please wait on coming in for your appt today. Kimberly from the studio is going to call you." At this point, I felt like I was honestly being pranked! I spoke to Kimberly on the phone who was much more empathetic to my situation, she wanted to re-schedule me again FOR THE FOURTH TIME for Holly. I told Kimberly, no that is okay, I would like to pick up my pre-purchased hair extensions and call it quits. Kimberly then asked me if I could reach Holly because she had a hard time getting a hold of her herself and that my extensions were not at the salon! I proceeded to message Holly in a very kind manner, that I was disappointed this is the third time she cancelled and that I was asked to re-schedule for the fourth time, all 20 minutes before my actual appointment's, and that I would like to pick up my extensions today. Holly responded, "I have been ill. There is no unprofessionalism about it. It's not in my control. I've been in business a long time. Your extensions are in Mystic at my partners studio. I'll grab them for you and text you to pick them up." I was shocked to hear that not only were my extensions not in the salon for our past recent appointments, but I was disturbed that yet again, she waited only 20 minutes before our appointment, she could have mentioned she was going to cancel much earlier, she could have offered a discount, or even another stylist! I even offered to pick the extensions up for her in Mystic! She said she would text me later once she grabbed them for me to pick up from her. A half hour later, I receive a text message from her stating that she refunded my extensions, I asked her if I could continue to purchase them and keep them, and she proceeded to tell me she is unable to sell them to me unless she put them in my head herself- which is not what she told me thirty minutes prior. I felt scammed, and I felt much more considerate and professional than the owner. I waited weeks for my appointment and for the extensions; with lack of preparation, empathy, and business etiquette on Holly's end, I felt I was lied to, disrespected, and wasted my time, despite if she was truthfully sick or not during a part of this experience- there should have been another stylist at the salon, and she should not have cancelled/re-scheduled 20 minutes before our appointment each time! Being a local business owner myself who has also "been in business a long time", and to all other individuals whom would view this situation, it IS unprofessional to re-schedule FOUR times in a row, and to text the client 20 MINUTES before each appointment to cancel. It is discourteous to speak to and treat a client in this manner, I would have NEVER treated a client this way. I am still waiting on the refund to process.

We went to lunch and returned and they couldn't have been more accommodating! We found out that they were missing two staff that day because otherwise walk-ins are no problem. Sabrina and Sue did such a meticulous job with cuticles and callouses. Sabrina cut out the in-grown nails that had been bothersome for my friend. When have we had this kind of care in a pedi?! The massage wasn't the best but I think the attention to the toes is more important!

    I am originally from Miami Florida. In Connecticut for about 30 to 45 days for work. I decided to…read morego and get my nails done. Visited this particular nail shop just for a manicure. The service was less than good. They do not remove your cuticles. They only push your cuticles back. There is an extra cost to remove your cuticles. In Miami the nail techs push your cuticles back and remove your cuticles so your nails won't look raggedy. My nails were bumpy and the polish was bubbling. After voicing my concerns with my nails, they were expecting me to spend another hour and a half in their shop so that they can fix the errors. Unfortunately, the additional time they are asking me to give them I will not get back, nor will I be compensated for it. They did not provide me with a discount or an apology for their bad work. I do not recommend this nail shop to anyone. If you do not get your nails done often and don't know what to look for when getting your nails done, then go to them. However, for those that always get their nails done and know what to look for, don't go there because you will be very disappointed.
