I am fit and I am a longtime yoga practitioner. I understand my role in managing these issues, but no amount of exercise can offset 8 hours sitting at a computer a day. A good massage is sometimes the only thing that can help when my body really starts locking up. Ive tried a number of massage therapists who are trained through westernized programs, and I even had a standing appointment with a wonderful reiki master who was a massage instructor for many years. Unfortunately, none of these therapists (who were legitimately excellent) were able to provide much relief for issues like persistent psoas tightness and snapping hip syndrome, etc. Mo is the first massage therapist who really made a difference in my pain and my low back and hip function, after just one session. I don't know if I truly do need deep tissue work or if it just *feels* as if I need deep tissue massage to me because of my usual experiences, but I always ask for deep work and rarely feel as though it's even close to being deep enough. A lot of massage therapists just don't seem to have more than textbook classroom-based understandings of the body, and they tend to try to use sessions to lecture me about the most basic things or assert their expertise, even while they're failing to recognize where my muscles are tight and how to actually address the tightness. That's why I decided to try an eastern-based practitioner this time. This was a fairly vigorous and intense session and I got the exact pressure I wanted/needed, without having to even say anything. It felt as though I finally got some release along my spine. She also did exceptional work on my shoulders and mid-back as well and gave a brief scalp massage. It made my whole week! Lalai is my new standing massage therapy provider and I highly recommend them, and Mo :)

During my spray tan she was very professional and kept a conversation with me while she was working on me. They have a private room you go into, with plenty of towels to stand on. I will admit the tan was a little scary dark at first, but she warned me about this and let me know in advance that after showering I will look a lot better, and she was right. Natural lashes have a 4-6 week shed cycle but in my 4+ years of having extensions, I started seeing gaps more frequently after coming to Skintuition. Additionally, during two of the appointments, lash artist, Iliana, glued multiple lashes to my lower lid and had to rip them off. Ouch!! I noticed that the quality of the application was poor when I could not run a spoolie through my lashes. Spoolie got caught on large clumps of glue and would make lashes turn up, fall over, or just fall out (within 1 week). Appropriate retention rarely held past 1 week. I'm leaving this lash artist frustrated mainly because my natural lashes are now weak, I have gaps, and I'm not able to get an appropriate full-set applied for another 4-6 weeks due to the damage caused. I was forced to get Iliana's work removed and evaluated because I left feeling like maybe I was the problem. Maybe my lashes were having issues holding her work. She claimed that I was the only person having these issues.... Nope. The new lash artist (14+ years experience) advised me that lliana's extension quality had caused a significant amount of damage to my natural lashes. I would understand if Skintuition was charging model prices for this quality of work, but to pay 100+ dollars for volume fills only to have to return (on multiple occasions) 2-3 days later to have them filled again!!! Is ridiculous. I've uploaded photos of Iliyana's work (only 2 weeks post full-volume set!) to show the large clumps of glue, extensions that pulled out my natural lashes but still held on while stuck to the other ends of extensions!, extensions stuck together, and the gaps in my naturals. After having experience with 10+ artists and over 4 years of experience with extensions, I'm only leaving this review to spread awareness of my experience because this work must be supervised and reevaluated. *And please don't respond asking me if I performed my aftercare correctly. This work has nothing to do with aftercare.*

Today was my first appointment with Jill, and as a first-timer with a Brazilian Wax (and…read morepregnant!). Booking was so easy! I was able to see her the following day for my visit. The very detailed directions to her place were excellent, and didn't have any issues finding her building nor with parking either. My appointment started right on the time I scheduled it, no waiting - that was a plus! Right off the bat, she greeted me with the most welcoming and friendly attitude into her beautifully decorated studio, that I felt I was going into Barbie's glam room - very posh! I was excited to be there because I've gotten to the point in my pregnancy where I can't shave "down there" anymore - and I really needed to get rid of the hair, but at the same time I was also nervous because I didn't really know what to expect pain-wise. Luckily, Jill was very personable and explained everything before starting the session, she made me feel as I've known her forever! She also talked to me during the course of the session which really helped during the most intense moments of the waxing, and overall the whole deal was very manageable especially having some good laughs in between with Jill while she was working on me.
