Aesop is a nice outdoor shopping mall in Oak Brook, IL. The layout is similar to pleasant prairie mall in Wisconsin, and Deer Park shopping outlet in Illinois. There are multiple levels to this mall and a mix of higher end stores and regular mall stores (but no bath and body works surprisingly). The parking garage can also be a bit confusing so be careful and read the signs in there. There's a handful of dine in restaurants, a small food court, a AMC Theatre and multiple game venues for entertainment, so there's more than just shopping. I'd recommend coming to this shopping mall in the spring or summer, but definitely not the winter considering it's a lot of walking outside. read more

Wow this is my favorite places to go shopping. It has everything I can imagine and what I love the most Of this center taxes are way lower. I like the Apple store, nordstroms store, sacks fifth ave. Tiffany, The newly renovated Louis Vouiton store and the Hugh amonunt of restaurant with in the same shopping center. Everything is already decorated for Christmas. They also have a Cinema to watch your favorite movie and a LA fitness so basically you can spend the entire day and you will never get bored. Love this place read more

Pretty nice mall. It's outdoors, clean, spacious and family friendly with plenty of open space play areas. Reminds me of all the malls I went to as a kid growing up in SoCal. Of the several times, I've been here parking is decent. It does get a bit chaotic during lunch hour near the Maggianos as the outdoor lot is a bit smaller. Yet the garage parking seems to be no problem as long as you're willing to drive up a few floors. Floor 4 is where the bridge is to take you into the heart of the shopping center. There's a few high end stores including a Louis Vuitton with a good selection of items as well as a Gucci that's tucked in the Neimen Marcus. Nordstrom is also here, as well as a Tesla showroom and even an Apple & Windows store. Plenty of other typical stores as well you'll find at just about any mall too. It's definitely a great mall to come and enjoy when the weather is nice. In addition, their food court / hall, The District, looks to be brand new and filled with some great options. We stopped by to enjoy DMK Burgers and this casual Greek spot. Also had a Stan's Donuts, a Freshii, Nandos, and a Jeni's ice cream on the way. This is a great outdoor mall, a little more so in the summer than in the winter. They have stores here are not as common in other malls like Sur la Table, Antico Posto, Paper Source, Aritza and Bonobos to name a few. Departments stores here include Macy's, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Sears. The dining options here are pretty good, including Nando's Peri-Peri Chicken, DMK Burger Bar, CPK, Roka Akor and Seasons 52. I used to always go to Old Orchard if I wanted to experience an outdoor mall. This is my new favorite. The decor is absolutely beautiful and scenic. Beautiful gardens and fountains throughout the mall. Ample seating areas and areas to social distance. This mall has all of the typical mall stores and then some. I love the more unique stores like the Amazon store and Kate Spade (which you don't always find in other malls) They have your typical mall pretzel and cookies, Red Robin... and some more unique restaurants like Nandos, Mon Ami Gabi, and my favorite.... Jenis Ice Cream. Very nice mix of fast casual and sit down, nicer restaurants. This definitely is great for a sunny day to spend some time shopping outdoors! read more

Because it's colder than cold today, I giving this outdoor mall a 2 rating. I really enjoy this mall. It has all those stores you wouldn't find in a common mall. No long line wait or bumping into people. The waterfalls have been replaced with holiday decorations. The task is getting into stores before freezing your toes off. So, rather you enjoy the cold or not, it is certainly worth the trip. read more

Probably one of my favorite places to shop. I feel like it has the perfect mix of indoor shopping with outdoor shopping. It also seems to be on the edge of more trendy stores and dining. Parking is not too difficult, even during the busy weekend but the traffic flow can be a little confusing at times (since people coming into the mall don't have a stop sign). There are plenty of quick, casual, and fine dining options here -- some of which are chains you'll only find in large metropolitan areas or the city. The District is a 14,000 sq dining destination that reminds me of Revival Food Hall in the loop, except that it's less crowded and more affordable. There's also several great dining options right outside of the mall that are great as well. If you're in the area, definitely make a stop here and in downtown Naperville for shopping. You'll find tons of unique but affordable shops. read more

Inside Circle Center Mall. Not a good experience. Need to upgrade. Anytime you see signs in the parking garage that basically says beware, just expect that the signs are true. Lol.... even with the signs we did give the mall the benefit of the doubt, and still continued our shopping experience. The results were not good. We didn't buy anything we just ate and went onto the Indiana Premium Outlets in Edinburgh. read more

I love this mall! The stores here are great and the aesthetic is also lovely. In addition to a great variety of stores, it's beautifully landscaped and makes for a really nice walk. TONS of parking all around. Be sure you have reservations to the restaurant you want to enjoy here, because evenings get pretty crazy with bookings. Lately, it's been a little sketchier here at night but I adore this location--especially while the weather is nice. read more

Oakbrook Center provides lots of retail and food options, but the layout is really inconvenient. It is essentially divided into two wings and if you want to go to the two wings, especially the end of the two ends, be prepared to walk as they are not connected. If you start from the center, it means that you have to walk to one end, then return to the center and walk to the other end. The upside. Zara! And the Food Hall. The District Food Hall is a rarity in the burbs! They provide a good selection of food within the Food Hall as well as outside. However, it took me a few trips to Oak Brook Center before spotting it. It is at the end of one corner and on the second floor. It is almost as if the shopping mall designer is forcing the shoppers to play hide and seek in this place. Another downside to this place is the lack of children play facilities. read more

My little Oldsmobile is out of place in a parking lot filled with Mercedes, Cadillacs, and Audis. My every day outfit (jeans, t-shirt, worn-out Converse) doesn't look like the sleek, fashionable clothes everyone else is wearing. My dreaded hair stands out. And my bag doesn't look like it came from any of the designer stores in this mall. I clearly do not fit in. Yet, I've grown love this mall. It's possibly the best outdoor mall I've ever been to. Oakbrook has a great round-up of high-end stores, minimal crowds (you won't see any rowdy teenagers here), sleek buildings & walkways, (the new look is great!), water fountains, and no problems with parking. It's beautiful to stroll through during warmer weather, and isn't actually that bad in the winter if you know exactly what stores to go to and don't spend too much time wandering around outside. Most of the restaurants are sit-down, which are nice if that's what you want. If you're in a hurry or dining alone, you may not want to stop here for food. Also, nearly every person I've encountered (employees & shoppers) have been genuinely nice. There are no snobs here. All are welcome. I'm not really a mall person, but I've been coming here quite a few times lately after work just to walk around and look at everything. What's happening to me!? :) read more

A piece of the OC in Chicago???? Yup, this outdoor mall resembles something you would find in the OC. In fact, it is something you would find in Southern CA! The shopping center is completely outdoor. I am not sure what they do in the winter. When I visited, it was nice and warm. It was hot and I was soooo hot! In fact, the temps were record breaking and sitting by the fountains with a gelato sure was a great way to cool off. The shopping center reminded me of home. It had Nordstroms, Neiman Marcus and several of the larger name brand shops. The shopping center also sports a Build-A-Bear with very helpful staff. The shopping center is actually kind of cozy and made for a very relaxing walk. I would definitely suggest visiting if you need to shop or even go for a nice walk! Beautiful location with wide open spaces and zen like feel to it. With the snow fall yesterday, this place is even more spectacular. There's lots of shops here, from Zara to H&M to Tiffany & Co to Louis Vutton. There's luxury items, furniture shops, cinema, food hall, clothing and accessories. Basically it has everything. One downside is that it's too big and the shops are not concentrated. I love the space but I hate it when I am in a rush and need to hit a few stores. That's when the trek to where I need to go bugs me. read more

The best part about this outdoor mall is the sceneries, it has a huge water fountain in front of Crate & Barrel Store and it had lots and lots of tulips and rose bushes everywhere. Also there are mini water fountains thru out the area. I saw a lot of people jogging and pushing strollers. This place is quaint and I love the clientele they have here. This mall is definitely upscale. It is completely outdoors with 2 levels of numerous stores and food choices. The mall also has two movie theaters attached to it. Only reason, I didn't give a full 5/5 stars is that being a outdoor mall they should have outdoor heaters especially since it gets very cold in the winters to walk around this mall. read more

Specifically reviewing the new food court, The District. Love the new food court! Great place for my family to eat out... The toddler can get pizza at Pie 5, my husband can get a burger at DMK and I can get a healthy vegetarian wrap at Freshii! After that a tea sample at David's Tea and a massive specialty donut at Stan's Donuts. Really great upscale options. The line for Cilantro tacos was about 20 people long, so we haven't tried that yet. The BBQ pork place (pig logo... Can't think of the name) has Mac N Cheese for $4. So that's another great toddler friendly option! Lots of options for seating. Cool green couch and tables with orange metal chairs. Booths too. The only negative is that the bathroom is across the way next to Nados chicken, so if you are eating in the food court, you have to exit and walk outside. Fine for summer, not great for winter with kids. As you may be aware, kids always have to go to the bathroom as soon as you sit down for a meal. So, we would have to leave our food out and hope it doesn't get cleared away while we are gone. The family washroom is awesome! Big and little potty and sinks. Toddlers love having things just for them! Nice baby changing station too. There is also an outside patio with a bar, Sailor Jerry's, that serves mojitos for $7! read more

One of the best malls there is. It's a different experience because it's partly outdoors and in the Midwest but that doesn't really defray shoppers. It's always busing here. Whether you are looking for food, clothes, accessories, cars, furniture or just to hang out, this one of the best places in the west suburbs. Highly recommended. read more

I have come here for years now at this place and recently they have updated and renovated several areas of the mall. It looks fresh and welcoming, specially at the food court area by the movie theater. Nice restaurants have been added with healthy options. Also dessert has been added like Stan's Donuts. There are several good small stores as well as large chain stores so you will find everything here. And if you are looking for something unique, Louis Vuitton is here among others. This mall is pretty small in my opinion. I didn't realize it was an outdoor mall. My first time there, they were undergoing a lot of construction so it was a complete mess. Maybe I'll like it better when they are all done. The main reason I went here is because they have basically every store I need, especially Nordstrom. I will try to avoid going to Michigan Ave as much as possible, especially for a short trip to the mall. This mall is more high-end and there isn't a clear food court. Not my mall of choice, but it will suffice. read more

It's not perfect, but it has all the stores that most people want. A little bit of high end and a little bit of the stores for the people like me who are ballin' on a budget. (God, I hate and love you H&M) Pros: Nice selection of stores and restaurants/coffee stops/snackaroos. Pretty large mall and a bit confusing at times so those mall directories were a constant help for me. New and very well-maintained. Cons: Not sure where the bathrooms were but I had to go into one of the department stores to find one. The layout was a little confusing. I'm pretty sure I passed by that Auntie Anne's Pretzel stand ten times. But the biggest complaint from me is that it's outdoors. The last thing I want to do is take my ass from store to store when it's freezing outside. I understand the concept if you're in Cali or something but days like today where it's going to be in the single digits...nuh uh. I'm wearing ten layers to help protect me from the outside elements and then walk into a hot store and start sweating more than a whore in church. I guess in the winter, I'll go to Woodfield if I need to shop. Or online shop. Still four stars because there some delicious grub around stores that I actually would stop in. read more

This mall is outdoors and has had some renovations in the past years. There are several stores that are unique that are not at a typical mall. Prices are definitely higher when compared to other same name stores in different locations. Parking is always full and the actual layout is not convenient for people that can't walk well as there are bricks on the ground that are not completely flat and are a bit raised. read more

This is such a high end beautiful mall with the crappiest cell phone service on the planet. How is it possible that a mall located in one of the wealthiest cities in Illinois can't get cell service to the part of the mall where Nordstrom is? I think it pretty much stretches from Nordstrom to the Starbucks.... get a cell tower here for crying out loud, it's going to be 2019 soon :( read more

I got my salary last week. And since it's the weekend I planned to come here since I have no work. I prepared myself for going there. I used my car because it's a hassle if I commute. I'm glad that I park my car since there are lots of cars here and there are some vacant only. When I entered I went to a different outlet store. I bought a jacket, polo shirt, shirt and pants. After that I entered the shoe store. There are a lot of shoes on the wall. All of it looks cool. It was expensive since it was branded and the quality was really good. At first I hesitated to buy one since it was too pricey but in the end I purchased it since it was worth the price. After that I eat my snacks in the food court. I enjoyed being here. read more

Oakbrook Center is sort of cathartic for me, even if just to walk around and browse if the inclination or need to buy something is not there. I also really find it to be one of the classiest Outdoor Malls in Chicagoland, bettering Woodfield for sure as well as edging out both Old Orchard and Northbrook Center...two of the other top Malls in the the CL imo. They seem to always have something really cool and artsy on display and this year (early, I KNOW) their holiday lighting is outstanding and spectacular! Additionally, they have some great restaurants, not only in the mall but the immediate surrounding area. This eve, we chose J. Alexander's, one of my all time favorites, it's just across the street to the North of this massive outdoor space. Lastly, the stores. There is certainly no shortage of top shelf shopping to be had here and you can drop serious coin if not careful ! read more

I have always enjoyed this mall. I especially love the fountains and the beautiful flower beds which reflect the seasons with their flowers and decor. They have even added a few outdoor fireplaces, they provide no warmth, but are lovely to look at. Not a fan of what they have done to the walkways, I find them uneven and would think that is a bigger trip hazard than what they had before. A nice variety of stores and restaurants that have changed over the years. My guess is that not too many people remember there used to be a grocery store as part of the mall when it first opened. They have some shows and exhibits, though not as many as they used to host. They have now combined their craft and fine arts shows, which is still a wonderful show. It is a great walking mall to just take in the sights. read more

This outdoor shopping center does not need much of an introduction but I will write a few lines anyway. IMO, this mall has great stores and it is a happy medium between the burbs and the city. This mall is pretty popular so the larger stores typically carry a great selection of items to choose from even when there is a major sale. If that is not enough, there are quite a few nice eating establishments to choose from including Reel Club (Lettuce Entertain You), Cheesecake Factory, Stir Crazy, Maggiano's and California Pizza Kitchen. When in need of certain items, it is always great to make a short trek over to Oakbrook. Parking is a bit of a pain, but there are a plethora of shopping options and you have the ability to at least search for a parking space close to a particular store. I am less inclined to travel over during the winter months but it is a really nice option to have in y backyard. read more

It's not just because Oakbrook has 7.75% sales tax vs. OO's 10%, but... wait... or is it? That 2.25% sales tax makes a difference in this economy! My uniform outfit no longer fits me. I need to buy a new fabric and I will sew it to my friend who is good at sewing. She has a business on it. And I am a regular customer to her. I spend a lot of my time searching for the location of the fabrics. It's really hard to find since I'm not familiar with the mall. After a tiring walk I found it. Thanks G that the staff assisted me well. And luckily they have a fabric that I'm looking at. I save a lot of money when I buy fabric compared to buying a new set of uniforms. After I bought something, I just ate at the food court. There are few people there. I bought a burger and a soda. The burger was good and yummy. read more

I like Oakbrook Center even when I'm flat broke. It's an outdoor mall and the plantings are lovely in the warmer months. It is a pleasure to simply stroll around -- maybe sip on a coffee or nibble a Godiva chocolate truffle (you can always afford ONE) -- and look at the flowers and fountains, watch birds, and spot the occasional bunny rabbit. I do miss the classical music they used to play here. It was somehow the perfect accompaniment to the flowers. The mall is also lovely around the holidays with the lights and the large Christmas tree. As for stores ... NORDSTROM(!), Sur la Table, Williams-Sonoma, Ann Taylor, LOFT, J. Jill, Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn are some of my favorites. If you are a petite, you can actually find clothes here. YES, WAY! Nordstrom, Ann Taylor, LOFT, J. Jill, Macy's, Lord & Taylor, Talbots Petites, plus some items at Banana Republic and Eddie Bauer last I checked. There are great restaurants too. Mon Ami Gabi, Antico Posto, and Cheesecake Factory are among my favorites. Be aware that on Friday and Saturday nights Oakbrook Center restaurants are VERY popular. If you try to make reservations at the eleventh hour you will find yourself eating the early bird special or closing up the joint. Plan ahead and call ahead! Btw, some restaurants offer valet parking for a mere $4. Compare that to parking in Chicago! Oakbrook Center is always busy, but parking is never really a headache until the holidays. The parking lot surrounding the mall is huge and there are two parking garages in addition. Once you learn your way around, parking is no problem. Don't stay away because you feel everything here is crazy expensive. It's just not true. Yes, you can blow a wad of cash here if you want to, but the sales racks in many of the better stores are very, very good. When they say clearance, they mean it ... and sometimes only because the color on the clearance rack is not as 'in' as the new color for the season. Head to the back of the stores, dig deep, even haggle. I've gotten Nordstrom sweaters at Target prices and high-end kitchen cookware and small appliances for a steal. Look early. Did they change the name? I thought it used to be Oakbrook Terrace. All the malls by us are now "centers" too. Another one of my first date places in the Chicago land area. For an outdoor mall in the Midwest; this one is very nice. It's not like the typical outdoor kits that are popping up around the Midwest. This one is designed well and is more tasteful. It has great stores and decent restaurants. We happened to eat at Stir Crazy which used to be good. It's clean and just a fun area to walk around and sit and watch people. If it weren't such a hike from where we usually stay, I would go here instead of Woodfield. read more

One of my favorite place to shop especially during the Spring and Summer! The landscape and upkeep at Oakbrook Center is beautiful even during the holidays. They've added on a food court with a big variety of food options from Mexican to BBQ to burgers. Oh and can't forget Stan's donuts, YUM! Have you guys check out the new IMAX theater? Highly recommend checking out theater #6 with the Dolby sound system, amazing! We're spoiled now and go there every time a new flick is out. They have high end shops like LV, Burberry and Tiffany's but also keeping in mind the budget shoppers like myself with Forever 21, Francesca's and H&M. This is an awesome shopping center with lots of high end stores and restaurants. It is an outdoor mall so you would have to walk outside to go from one store to the next. I don't know how I feel about shopping here when it's snowing and subzero degrees outside. But it is definitely a great shopping center to browse and walk around on a beautiful day. There are lots of pretty decors around the mall and I think it is a great place to take a first date around or people from out of town. There are lots of parking spots everywhere since the stores are all spread out so be sure to remember where you parked your car so you don't get lost after you are done with your shopping spree. read more

It's a newly renovated out door mall and we found getting to and from the parking lot to the mall area to be confusing. We somehow parked in one of those lots upper level and it was a lot round about way to walk around. It's a nice outdoor mall really but they have closed town some stores like Children's place and Gymboree which was there two stores I was hoping to shop at while visiting there. Overall it was good to have seen the mall again there's a lot of Lettuce entertain you restaurants on the outside of the mall and a giant Barnes and Noble bookstore. read more

Love this place, it literally has everything that you need and it has changed my life.

This was my first time at Oakbrook Center and I love it!. The Nordstrom is a little annoying because it is under construction but they have a lot of my favorite brands that are always sold out downtown Chicago. Their sales associates are also very nice and helpful and when they did not the Xl shirt that I wanted for my husband, the sales associate was able to find it on line and ship it to his work. They also have great Victoria Secret Store with a large Pink section and again the sales associates are extra nice, which is always a big plus for me! read more
