I have since probably purchased over 20 Jellycats from here, it's my favorite way to do so because I love supporting a local business and this shop is genuinely just the best. Outside of Jellycats, I've gotten Hello Kitty Blue Sky Ceramics, an Allen designs clock, Christmas ornaments, a lazy Susan, and baby gifts. Although I don't live in the area, anytime I'm out towards Oak Brook I ALWAYS make sure to stop by Fairytales to see what's new. Unfortunately due to the immense popularity of Jellycats, their stock has declined significantly which is a bit of a bummer, but it seems to be out of their control from my understanding. Everyone I've interacted with here has been incredibly sweet, I've done waitlist orders (I was able to get the large snow dragon jellycat this was as well as some of the rare Christmas ornaments!), and I've done a few online pickup orders as well. Each time my items are packaged beautifully and I feel so special walking out with the super high quality, beautifully branded Fairytales bag. Downtown Lombard truly has a gem, if it was closer to me I'd frequent a lot more, but it just makes my trips even more special when I do get to stop by.

It wasn't a small tear either, its entire head came off. Honestly it was quite the massacre (photo below). So, I called them to see if I could get a replacement, or at least store credit because frankly it was quite expensive ($100 for the large size). Anyways, they said there was nothing they could do because the return period of THREE DAYS had passed, which is ridiculous because who is ever returning something within three days of purchasing?? Also, I wasn't even trying to return it, I was trying to get compensation for my poor alpaca. It makes me wonder what they would've done if it broke four days after purchase?? Just tell me "sorry, sucks to suck" after losing $100? Now, I understand that it may have been too hopeful to want a full replacement since a month had gone by, however I don't think it's unreasonable to expect store credit or a coupon or something. But no, they couldn't even offer that. I know that it's a small business so they aren't able to take the hit as much as a big corporation would but seriously, if you're charging $100 for a plushy and it breaks less than two months after purchasing, you should be able to offer some sort of compensation. I miss my alpaca but unfortunately, as a poor college student, I can't afford to scalp out another $100 to replace it. Usually I don't take the time to write reviews, but I'm so upset that my alpaca is gone and the poor customer service that I have just experienced that I felt it necessary to warn future customers to be wary when spending a lot of money at this store.

I happily stumbled upon Uncharted as I ventured the strip. At first I was rather overwhelmed and had sensory overload from al the cuteness, but quickly became familiar with the store after doing an initial walk thru. They have a nice selection of clothes and carefully curated items. I appreciate the variety and can see my wallet hurting if I brought my teen and tweenage girls. Last but not least, they had the Swedish gummy pop up selling at a great price. You bet I took advantage of that! I will definitely come back with my girls and maybe a mom's only shopping trip.

No, it was a couple of moms and their tweenish daughters, and for a moment I thought, this store isn't for me. They pulled on the locked door a few times, and when it finally opened, I made my way into the store, along with a few other people. It was a store for me, and them, and you and your friends. Uncharted is a very nice gift store, and larger inside than you expect. There were candles, housewares, cards, clothes, toys, jewelry, candy, men's gifts, and more. It's an updated and more trendy Hallmark store. The staff were very nice, and asked me to join their rewards club. I declined, as this location is a little far for me. I did purchase a cute scratch-off artpad for a gift and some pretty notecards.

I LOVE sassy, sarcastic cards and this place is loaded with some of the best I've ever seen. I especially love the style of cards with an vintage picture and a smartass saying, and they've got tons. Anne Taintor, Curly Girl, and more. I loaded up on cards, magnets, etc. I mean, who doesn't want a card that says, "What's wrong with my attitude, it matches my outfit?" Love. It. A few rooms filled with a hodge podge of items all overpriced. I went yesterday and found a Target Universal Thread button up for $14. That same shirt was $16.99 brand new and selling for $4.99 at Goodwill. It is t like the used clothing is curated to justify the pricing. It's all low end brands and most of the items are heavily used. Granted I am a knowledgeable thrifter but it was crazy to see how heavily used and overpriced the items were. Even Treasure House a few shops down has better prices.

Some of the items were a bit overpriced from the booth but a lot of them are having January sales. A good majority of the booths were a bit vacant too and even a whole aisle was gone too. This cozy shop is crammed from floor to ceiling with an eclectic mix of fashion, accessories, cosmetics and décor items. Walk through a beaded curtain to discover a labyrinth of small, softly-lit rooms with colorful displays. But if you don't heed the list of rules posted on the front door, the gnomes will send their gnarly gnats to gnaw your toes!
