She by far is the most knowledgeable employee I've ever come across within the Aesop brand and I shop here ALOT mainly in the NY locations but I just visited the LA loss CA action on 3rd and she blew my mind. I didn't ever think I would change my skincare routine but she walked me through all the skincare and informed me on what they could do for my skin and sent me home with a few samples (after purchasing my favorite (body wash) and I must say she has converted me to the Aesop skincare line. Such amazing customer service. I went in today to purchase the poo drops as a cheeky gift for a friend and in my attempt to take a bunch of things from my car to my apartment in one trip I dropped the glass in my driveway and shattered it. I called the store to see if they would replace it for me since I bought it that day and they did with very little back and forth or drama. It's such a hard time to be working retail in stores, and I so appreciated that the staff was so helpful and understanding, even when it was my fault that the accident happened. Downtown Aēsop is the Aēsop for me, but I like to check out other Aēsops when I'm in the area. It's not cheating if I don't buy - just a little harmless flirting! Downtown Aēsop, baby, you know I loves you! Don't get mad at a man for just looking! The Third Street Aēsop is small, bright, breezy - a much more typically "L.A." store than either Downtown or Silver Lake. (I haven't visited the other three as of yet.) it fits in with the West Third vibe perfectly without trying too hard like some places. (I don't want to say Le Labo, but let's just say it rhymes with "De Dabo.") The service at the West Third Aēsop is the one thing I don't love as much as the Downtown or Silver Lake stores: Pauline, the manager, is amazing. She's one of the best Aēsop specialists around. But on my last visit, she wasn't in, and the service was just... cold. Like I was intruding. I felt like the sales associates were just waiting for me to go. And so I did. Aēsop will always score high in my books, but after my last trip to the West Third Aēsop, this particular store isn't hitting the tippy top. read more

Aesop is currently having a pop-up over at Nordstrom at The Grove, and what caught my attention was the beautiful design used to display their products. While it was a little too busy for me to peruse, I realized an actual Aesop shop was right over on 3rd, so I figured I would pop-in for a visit. A really nice girl named Ren greeted me upon entry and asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I had gone online and searched for their shampoo (Equalizing) and conditioner (Nurturing) lines in addition to some of their body care, so I had an idea of what I was searching for, so she pointed me in the right direction. Everything is lined up against the walls in a neat, orderly fashion. Decor was stark and minimalistic. If you ask, they will offer you samples, and plenty of them. Ironically, the products I thought would be a sure thing were not; but their 'A Rose By Any Other Name' body cleanser will be a future purchase. While the smooth gel texture was not too thick, it rinsed clean and the smell was not an artificial one that you expect from your generic run-of-the-mill drugstore products. I'm not even the biggest fan of the scent, but this one stood out for me. Aesop may fall in line with Malin+Goetz and Kiehl's, but Aesop has some unique products such as their post-drops and burner blends. Certainly is worth a stop if you're in the area. read more

This store is my new obsession! I frequent West 3rd for meetings, so of course shopping is always on the agenda. The layout of this shop is what truly sparked my interest- It's so clean looking + smelling! The staff is extremely helpful and kind. Breathless (a massage and body oil) is my absolute favorite to wear as a perfume. A little goes along way which really makes me happy. Reassertion hand balm has been my new go to lotion. Creamy and thick enough where you don't use a ton. But truly has been doing the trick on my dry skin. At the end they capture your information which then keeps track of each item you purchase &&& the SAMPLES they have given. Guinness! This means even if I forget then they'll tell me what I fell in love with sampling. Over all I am pleased and look forward to returning again. read more

My wife and I really like Aēsop hand soap. I wanted to go to their actual store to test out more products and make sure the hand soap we use really was the best. They have a sink in their showroom so you really can test out the soaps. I ended up enjoying the exfoliating soap more then our current one. But I have to tell you about my experiment with the sales lady. She was the nicest person ever. She was so kind, patient, and keen on educating me on things (never making me feel stupid), on questions I asked. I wish I could remember this kind women's name as she really made my day, great service can be just as important as a good product. read more

This place is THE best!! The staff is so kind, they make this amazing tea, and they load you up with samples!! Yup, samples. So you can sample anything and everything at home and see what works for you. The prices are beyond fair and the products are top notch. Love this line... used to only buy it at Barney's (Barney's has amazing buyers), but now I go to the 3rd street store. Great, great, great, great stuff. My favorite product is the Sage and Zinc cream, which is really a moisturizing Sunblock - it's beyond moisturizing and it does the job. I buy it for my mom and dad, too. My dad plays golf everyday and used to refuse to wear sunblock - he now wears the sage spf cream daily! My mom is really in to the Parsley line. Go check it out! read more
