When she passed unexpectedly my whole world flipped upside down. My heart has been broken and certainly will never be the same . I cannot explain the amount of support and healing I have received from this establishment . On the day my sister's headstone came, I plugged my GPS in to head towards the local TJ MAXX for some retail therapy . Instead the GPS brought me to Windsoul. I thought this was pretty cool considering I had spent the night before googling yoga studios to check out. I was sleepless in knowing the next day I was going to see my sister's headstone with the last name ORTIZ on it ... yet for some reason I did not see Windsoul during my google search of local studios... yet there I was :). Gail greeted me with warmth and a genuine purpose to help me with what I needed . She assured me that I was in the right place . That Monday I started my first class with StaceyLynn whom I adore . She has a very upbeat personality and contagious energy. I started to join more classes and learn more about each instructor's style as well as personality , both of which reflect their practice . Gail is organized and intelligent . StaceyLynn is as well, but offers a certain level of spunk . I love Tuesday classes with Julie as well . The team members each offer something special . During this last year I became a certified yoga teacher to strengthen my own practice and utilize as a healing technique for when I work with veterans as a nurse someday (I am currently in school for nursing). I was inspired, aided and welcomed by this warm and loving family . I would not have started my yoga journey without the hospitality and inspiration from these women . During the summer time, Windsoul donated all proceeds from their community classes to Veterans Advocacy Services , a non-profit dedicated to provide veterans with assistance according to their specific needs . I recommend Windsoul . It is not just a yoga studio . It is a center for healing and inspiration .

I was visiting the New England area for work along with a little pleasure and needed my Bikram Yoga…read morefix to escape the cold temps, and was happy to find Bikram Yoga Chelmsford, very near to my friend's house in Lowell, MA and UMass - Lowell. It was easy to find, had plenty of parking and the teachers and students at the studio were very friendly. I went to the Friday afternoon, 4:30PM class with Nancy, and then the Saturday 9:30AM class with Terri. Both teachers were great, but had different styles, which is one of my favorite parts about Bikram...other than the heat. Nancy's dialogue was very positive and encouraging in a slower, more methodical tone. She had many great points and tips while she stood facing the class or demonstrating on the podium. Terri's morning class was very high energy and she really kept the pace going while making her way between the sweaty bodies who all seemed to follow the dialogue in unison - I really appreciated her use of student's names and put in extra effort when she passed by me in a pose! I'll admit, I was a little deflated when I read a few reviews about the studio smell, but frankly, after visiting, I can only assume those reviews were written by people not familiar with a Bikram studio...it smelled fine, and very good when you consider the typical hot yoga studio. You can't have a wood floor in a hot yoga room, people! You sweat too much and there is a danger of slipping if there weren't carpet. The studio lobby was stocked with cold beverages, numerous active wear pieces that were just perfect for the hot and humid yoga room along with mats and insulated water bottles. The studio offered rental yoga mats which were nicely stacked behind the desk along with clean towels which were great for an out-of-towner. On top of the well-kept carpet, and neat and tidy studio changing and bathrooms, I can't say enough about the showers...and the ample supply of hot water!!! As I mentioned, everyone was so friendly, and after chatting with a few ladies in the dressing room, and waiting to take some pics for my review, I found myself 3rd or 4th in line for a shower after class and had resigned to the fact that I'd just quickly rinse off and leave a full shower for later, but to my surprise, they have tankless water heaters that kept the hot water flowing!!!! I have practiced Bikram yoga for over 12 years, and have visited studios in over 20 states so I feel like I have a lot of experience and appreciation for the good and the bad out there. I usually won't review a place unless it's exstremely good or bad, and frankly...I loved this studio and wished I had one like it closer to home! I highly recommend checking it out and to consider yourself lucky if you do live close enough to be a regular. Namaste...

The Vibe offers heated Pilates classes (along with other types of classes) that have truly changed my life. I am down 80 pounds and have more mobility now than I ever did, even before having kids. When I say The Vibe is my church, I mean it. I am an avid hot Pilates and Tone Strength Cardio attendee. If I miss one of Brooke's classes, I make sure to double up the following week. Brooke pushes muscles I never even knew I had, and after 2.5 years, I am still discovering new ones every session. She is incredibly motivating and constantly reminds me that I'm here for my health and mobility. The mind-body connection from her classes is what will keep me climbing stairs well into my 80s. She incorporates different equipment to target areas I've never worked before, and I *crave* her classes as a way to level up every day! Well, come on down to Collective Studios for the stationary bike ride of your life. Located quite literally next to a Planet Fitness in Londonderry, this upscale studio won't be serving slices of greasy pizza to people (like myself) pretending to workout on machines that are covered in Covid 37 and divorce. This is not your usual "I went to the gym for an hour, but I'm going to count my time in traffic as gym time" workout. The ladies of CS bring the Burn (or Flow) each and every class. As someone who enjoys exercise in concept only, I found myself being lapped by every single one of my classmates. I was a three legged horse at the Kentucky Derby, my only solace being the impending glue factory. That being said, my social anxiety and third-trimester-beer-gut were welcome with open arms at CS. They not only fit me with stylish shoes, but encouraged me to actually pedal when on the bike...and pedal we did! There was a great mix of both physical and mental workouts for the 45 minute session. While, as always, my tongue remains in my cheek with these reviews....I did thoroughly enjoy this experience! "Rita", the name of the helpful and way-too-in-shape instructor, brought energy, encouragement, and "good vibes" as the kids say. Thankfully for society, I don't think I'll be slipping into any yoga pants in the near future....But...I will be going again to Collective Studios. For the first time in a long time, I felt welcome and encouraged to step outside of my comfort zone. Mark this as my first (and let's be honest, only) gym review because I can't imagine having a better experience anywhere else.
