Yoga is part of their program and they have two locations in New Hampshire. She plans to send me an extensive report and web sites to help me cook and learn yoga. Once I get it all back I will update this review, but so far I am impressed with the knowledge and facility. They offer so many health programs and their facility was amazing. Dry saunas, massage rooms, Ayurveda treatments. Really impressive. The drive was a bit more than hour from Boston. Worth it!

The space itself is beautiful - from the sunny front room where you can peacefully wait for classes to begin (with its rotating art collection!) to the equipment (blankets, blocks, straps, etc.) that was all in really good shape. First off, let me start off by saying I highly recommend Downdog Flow Yoga & Pilates Studio and…read moreMelissa as a Yoga and Pilate's teacher and here's why: Style: Melissa brings her own style and technique to her classes - it's a playful, fluid, and challenging practice - a combination of Vinyasa and Pilates. Not only do you get a good sweat but she always has a focus and intention behind it. She does a great job of breaking down the flow in an easy and methodical way and no class is ever alike. She always comes prepared with interesting and different flows and peak poses in which I admire and continue to be a student of hers as it goes to show you how much effort and work she puts towards giving the best to her students. She is always listening to her students and tailors her classes to deliver. Energy: I've been going to Downdog studio for a little over a year now and Melissa's energy and power has always been 110%. Her intensity is like no other instructor I know which permeates throughout the class. It drives her students to do better, to take us out of our comfort zones and to challenge and push ourselves pass our limits. This in turn has all of her students giving it there all every time they step into the studio. It also helps that it is a community atmosphere so you feel comfortable, engaged and always included. Personal: She goes above and beyond as a yoga instructor. Melissa genuinely cares and is concerned for all of her students. She will befriend you and always go the extra mile to guide you in the right direction of good health and well-being. She is truly on a mission to share the benefits of yoga, fitness and good health to everyone she meets. She has given me workouts, poses and stretches for restoration and follows up to see how I'm doing. Overall: Although your core will be fired up, you will definitely feel zen after every class leaving you to feel like you're ready to conquer any challenge life throws your way. If you want to better yourself on and off your mat, need a vigorous workout that is guaranteed to give you results physically and mentally, and would like to be part of a fun community atmosphere that motivates you, I highly recommend Melissa at the Downdog Flow Yoga and Pilates studio.

I had a job that really took a toll on my muscles and I needed something I could access at odd hours of the day since my work hours were not consistent. I'm not someone who regularly works out and I'm not even someone who likes the heat but I knew the infrared would be good for my tired muscles. Somehow, the infrared sauna makes it easier to move. And strangely, even though you're sweating, you feel so much cleaner afterward because your pores have just released everything! Everyone is so friendly but if you want to work out in private, like I did, the app is so useful in being able to see if anyone else is in the sauna you would like to book. There are even fun monthly challenges on little pamphlets you can fill out to help keep you motivated and going in on a regular basis. I really like that it's not weight oriented and more just about getting your body moving.
