They aren't just there to groom dogs; they are there to LOVE our fur babies and help us with the things we either can't do or choose to leave to the professionals. I went to them for a couple of years before moving back to Hawaii for a year. Unfortunately, my baby had a horrible experience with a groomer there and became a little nervous. When Charlie saw him again, it was like we had never left\! That alone says so much about the love, trust, and connection they build with our babies. Charlie and Jeremy are amazing! They are always willing to answer my questions and help me with training advice (and by training, I mean training ME, not my baby! Hahaha! ). No matter how busy they are, and trust me, they are ALWAYS busy, they make time for you. They are attentive, patient, and never make you feel rushed or silly for asking questions. You can tell they genuinely care about both the dogs and their owners. I have never had a negative experience with my babies' grooming, and I couldn't ask for better people to trust with them. They make you feel comfortable knowing your fur babies are in loving, capable hands. And to top it all off, their prices are VERY reasonable! If you haven't been to Mr. Pet, GO!!! Ed took such great care of our two dogs, Kai and Kayla (Chihuahua mixes) during our nine day…read morevacation last month. Up until boarding them with Ed, we had never left them alone for longer than a few hours a day since we adopted them a year ago. You can imagine how nervous we were about leaving them for over a week, especially with a stranger. We found Ed online and were impressed with his experience and the fact that our dogs were going to be in a home setting; very important to us because our dogs are always with our family. We bombarded Ed with questions via phone and email before deciding on using his services and his prompt and professional responses quickly put us at ease. His weekly fee was incredibly reasonable and included feedings with Blue Buffalo dog food (which is what we feed our dogs), socializing with other dogs, daily exercise, and dog park visits. As you know, these are all "extras" with other boarding facilities. This is Ed's primary line of work so he is with the dogs 24/7. This was important to us because we definitely didn't want our dogs locked in kennels all day. We knew our dogs would be in great hands but this was confirmed when we dropped them off with Ed (who also provides pick-up and drop-off services as part of his fee). They took to him right away and loved his two dogs Bailey and Pearl (extremely well behaved). When we left our dogs with Ed in the nearby dog park, they were so happy that they didn't even whine when we left. We were definitely able to enjoy our vacation more knowing our dogs were in great hands. We called/texted Ed almost every day to check on our babies and he was very good about giving us updates. He even posted photos and videos of them on Facebook so that reassured us even more that they were in great hands. Ed even worked with our dogs on correcting some behavioral problems (Kayla's barking @ other dogs and Kai's pulling while on a leash). When he dropped them off at our home, they looked very happy and well taken care of. He even gave us some great pointers to reaffirm the training he did with them that week. We wholeheartedly recommend Ed and his services and look forward to having him watch our dogs again in the future. Can't say enough what a wonderful experience we had with Ed. Even if you don't need overnight boarding services, you should still take your dog(s) to him for any training issues.

She would bark at everyone and everything, and was just SO anxious and nervous (understandably) in public. Other trainers we looked into wanted to use shock collars and other more aggressive forms of discipline on her, but I knew Patty didn't need more trauma to help her calm down. Bryndon, on the other hand, was patient, kind, and used treats and other strategies to help Patty gradually feel comfortable on walks. When he got her to go into a dog park - WITH NO LEASH - I was literally speechless (in a good way!). I never thought that would be an option for Patty, but here she was going up to other dogs and walking around without growling, barking, or lunging at them. After 4-5 weeks of training, I'm now able to take Patty to a dog park on my own, off leash, and she actually PLAYS with other dogs all on her own! I literally teared up the first time I saw her running and playing with other dogs; this was something I never thought would happen because so many other people and trainers told me that Patty would probably always be aggressive and scared. Now, she loves dog parks and I'm planning on enrolling her in agility classes in the future - just like Bryndon said would be a possibility one day. I cannot praise him enough. Trust him with your dog because he will take help them through patience, kind words, and care, and not through fear, pain, or aggression, which our dogs don't deserve.

I'm very disappointed with our experience at Canine Learning Academy…read more Reggie started their all-day Prep School in May when he was only 4 months old. He initially attended 5 days a week and eventually went 3 days a week. By the time he was 8 months old, we had invested almost $10,000 in his training. My goal was simple: I wanted a well-trained dog that I could confidently walk and take with me places. Unfortunately, that is not what we ended up with. Reggie still pulls on the leash and is reactive toward other dogs, which makes it difficult for us to take him to many places. For the amount of time and money invested, I honestly feel like what we received was a lot of supervised crate time with small increments of training throughout the day. I understand that training a young dog takes time and that no trainer can guarantee perfection, but I expected significantly more progress for nearly $10,000 and months of full-day training. I will say that I really liked the trainer Reggie was paired with. She was kind and clearly cared about him. My concern was that she had so many dogs to work with that I don't feel Reggie was able to receive the individual attention he needed. The owner was also not very present during the majority of the time Reggie was enrolled, which was disappointing given the level of investment we were making. Another major issue was that the air conditioning was broken for essentially the entire summer. It was extremely hot, and having dogs spending all day there in those conditions was very concerning. I went into this program hoping to have a dog who was well trained, manageable, and able to go places with us. Instead, at 8 months old, we are still dealing with basic leash manners and significant reactivity toward other dogs. I really wanted this to be a great experience for Reggie, and unfortunately, I cannot say that the results justified the time, cost, or expectations that were set when we enrolled.
