A Pokémon-focused card game shop with super approachable staff and chill/relaxed patrons. The selection here was extremely wide, with tons of different packs and boxes to choose from. This is definitely a store run by Pokemon fans for Pokemon fans. They decorate the interior with the merchandise, and art prints from indie artists. I love seeing stores support artists! I like the vibes here the ambiance is chill. I went here with my friend because she's into pokemon cards and the staff are friendly. Even when we were browsing, we were often asked if we needed help. I like how you can sell your cards here as well. They price it at market price to make sure you get your best value. I think the gatcha machines are cute! They play music if you listen closely. There is a table in the center if you wanna do an opening video. Overall, I think I would come here again if my friend invites me. A fun little place that has a great amount of product - unopened and opened. Definitely a great showcase of slabs and the best (in our opinion) are the vending machines! Try your luck and see what you get! Ask a store clerk for coin exchanges and see what you pull! The real gatcha play ensues! That all aside, the prices are not terrible in my opinion. There are worse and I think they are doing a good job keeping a fine line to support themselves while helping consumers get what they want. Unfortunately, the store has lost a regular customer. I no longer feel the sense of enjoyment and fairness that I once experienced here. 1) Vending Machine Concerns The introduction of the vending machine system is a serious issue. It promotes gambling-like behavior, encourages scalping, and creates a toxic environment among collectors and traders. If this feature is going to remain, the store should at least implement a more transparent, fair, and protective trade-in or insurance system. But ideally, removing the machine entirely would be the best course of action to foster a healthier trading culture. 2) Outdated Card Pricing The store definitely needs to adjust their card value to reflect the current market value! Many Pokémon cards are no longer valued at their peak, and it's discouraging to see outdated prices that don't align with real-time sales data. They say they use "TCG Player," but always go with the highest bid value of the day instead of the cards true market value from either PriceCharting or Collectr. 3) Stream Exclusive Practices Stream Exclusive plays and "coin"-based trade-in options are misleading and unfair. When each coin costs around $50 (after taxes and fees), and players are rewarded with cards valued far less--sometimes under $100 ungraded or one can get a $10 value Promo/Illustration Rare card --it feels exploitative. It's also discouraging to see how much profit is made from collectors who genuinely love the hobby. Please reconsider these practices and prioritize in-store engagement over streaming incentives. The store needs to get rid of Tom! He's mainly in it for profit, stream exclusive content, and favors scalpers! He markups EVERYTHING by 1.2x; and when you ask the store if they have a particular card for trade in to to purchase outright at market value, he says no, when clearly the store does but it is being used for the Stream Vending Machine "Top Chases." In general, if you want to let us say buy Bubble Mew or JP Sylveon or Prismatic Espeon, Tom and Dion forces you to play the Stream Exclusive Vending machine at $50/play or buy out the lot of 50 cards (which is $2500) for a card that is worth between $100-$400 at most. That is $40 profit per play (cause most of the pulls are IR/AR at around $10 market value) or $2000 profit for the top chase! Additionally, there are multiple rounds throughout the day (usually as high as 3 rounds). In other words, the scalpers are catering to this and basically just paying off Tom's brand new Tesla Model 3... The employee Kevin also needs to learn the trading card game or either just be a card stocker because he does not know how to price the cards and basically Tom's sheep. He questioned me about a card that I was looking to trade in and say it was "fake," when I told them that I got the so called "fake card" from their vending machine if they can recall. In all, THE STREAM VENDING MACHINE NEEDS TO GO! Pokemon is a hobby, not something you can exploit for huge amount of money. It is meant for the joy of collecting for people of all ages. read more

Overall a decent selection of raw and ungraded. If you want binder cards may be a good place for you depending. They do have a large variety of packs and ETBs- more than most. I will say they charge about $10 over market price from TCG. So they don't really adapt to the market. Cards that were in $38-$42 range with market price on TCG range they will charge $50-$52. Then tax. If you want the card now maybe worth it. If you can wait better off just getting it on TCG or waiting to go to an in person show. Compared to other shops cool selection of cards but out of the Half dozen shops I been to they overcharge and don't negotiate at all. read more

This stores employees are very devious and some don't seem like they want to be there. They have updated their policies so now if you want to sell they will buy from 60%-80%. On top of that if you want to buy a single card they charge and extra 20% of whatever market value of the card is. Which I have NEVER heard of a card shop doing before. read more

My two girls have always loved Pokémon, but just recently they've really gotten into collecting the cards. I know how crazy the card world has become. But, I came across an Instagram video about Adventurer's Guild and figured it'd be a fun little Saturday outing for us--and I'm so glad we went! Both of my girls had such a great time! Kelly and another incredibly sweet staff member (I wish I had caught her name) were so kind and welcoming. My girls are new to collecting and were pretty shy, but one of the staff overheard it was our first visit and gifted each of them a coin to try out the vending machine. That small gesture made their whole day. They've never gotten a "cute" holo card before, so when I asked Kelly if he had any affordable ones he'd recommend to add to their collection, he surprised us by gifting each of them a holo prismatic card. I can't even express how thankful I was in that moment--just seeing the joy and excitement in their eyes when they picked out their favorite card was everything. They didn't just sell us cards--they created a memory. The staff gave thoughtful, honest advice and helped my kids choose things they'd genuinely love. We ended up leaving with a booster pack for my youngest (she's all about the cute ones), and my oldest chose a prismatic featuring one of her favorite Eeveelutions. No joke but right as we got in the car, both girls said, "I want to come here again!" It was just one of those moments that reminded me why Pokémon is so special--especially for kids. It's easy to forget, with all the hype and collecting madness these days, that at its heart, Pokémon is about fun, community, and a shared love and joy for Pokemon. I really wanted to say nice things about this place... Came as a family as our kids started recently collecting Pokémon cards. Immediately upon entering, we were greeted very coldly by the skinny tall gentleman in front. We expressed gratitude for the shop being open and eagerness that they were nearby. The gentleman ignored us lol. He appeared to be very interested in his laptop and when my 5 year old son expressed excitement in the shops collections, I literally watched the gentleman look at him and ignore him lol. We felt unwanted and honestly that dude looked like he did not want to work there. It was a Sunday afternoon lol not even before closing or anything. This is a not a kid friendly shop which is what this stuff is designed for lol. I definitely would have spent a lot more $$ had we felt welcomed but I just bought a couple packs for my kid who was extremely sad that the man ignored him. There's tons of shops nearby (JJs) and (Sugoi) where you'll be welcomed and not treated like sh*t. Don't waste ur time here. And the collection isnt even that great. I've only ever purchased singles from this location. I recently decided to purchase an infernape v box. Once I got home and opened it, I noticed one booster pack was missing 2 cards, which led me to believe that it was resealed. Other than that, this place is okay if you're contempt with paying at least $10 above market price (not msrp), if not more, for sealed products. They also charge some percent on singles and slabs to help with "business costs", which I find unfair, especially when purchasing more expensive cards as it could be a sizable amount that you end up paying. I definitely won't be returning here and would recommend other local card shops. read more
