We used Going Places Travel for a recent two-week trip to Europe from California, and let me assure…read moreyou that their 5-star rating is much-deserved. Our travel specialist was Laura--based out of northern California, I believe, which nonetheless didn't present any logistical difficulties for us down here in San Diego. Via a series of emails and phone calls over several days, Laura set up every facet of our trip to two countries and three cities after presenting us with multiple choices and price points: flights (outbound from LAX, inbound to San Diego), hotels, private car transport, etc. Because the trip was a last-minute getaway, our plans were somewhat fluid and dependent upon availability--and Laura didn't bat an eye when we suddenly switched our destination from Barcelona to London for the first week of the trip. Overall, Laura's work ethic in nailing down our logistics was Herculean, to say the least. We're looking forward to our next trip abroad in 2025, and will certainly use Going Places and Laura when we do.

Oscar Henrriquez from Cadence Travel booked the honeymoon for my wife Elizabeth and I. We were…read moreboth excited to go to Barcelona, but Liz also wanted to go somewhere more exotic like an island. On Oscar's suggestion we added the Spanish island of Mallorca. Oscar got us a great price on some very convenient flight times. But Liz and I are hard to please when it comes to booking hotels. We have diverse tastes and yet very specific requirements. Oscar hit a homerun by booking us into the Melia De Mar resort in Mallorca and the Hotel Espana in Barcelona. Both were beautiful and in great locations. 4 days after our 220 person Celtic, Indian, Middle Eastern, Gothic, Steampunk, Circus wedding we took off for Spain. Upon arriving at the Melia De Mar we were delighted to find out the staff were expecting us "newlyweds." Oscar had been in constant contact with them to make sure everything would be ready. Walking into our room we were overjoyed to see a large welcome card from Oscar, champagne, and chocolate covered strawberries. Our room was very nice, the view of the bay was breathtaking, the staff was very attentive, and the food and drinks were great. Mallorca itself was awesome! We got some great shopping in, toured a castle, and dined on Mediterranean food at what we consider to be one of the top 10 restaurants of our lives. At the Hotel Espana Oscar arranged a free room upgrade. We were overwhelmed, and so glad we had let Oscar handle all the details. As he says, "you can't VIP yourself." So it's great to have the services of a professional. Walking into our room we were greeted again by a large welcome card, champagne, and treats. The Hotel Espana was stunning! It is the oldest hotel in Barcelona and was designed by a famous architect that also did a theater called the Palau De Musica. After exploring our room, the hallways, and the stylish rooftop bar, Liz enthusiastically exclaimed that this was now her favorite hotel she had ever stayed in! The excitement of Las Ramblas was only a block outside our front door. We walked many miles exploring the Gothic Quarter and the rest of the city. We had lots of tapas and sangria, and marveled at Spanish fashion and shoes. I even fulfilled a lifelong dream of buying a classical guitar in Spain! On our last night we went to a mind blowing flamenco guitar performance at the Palau De Musica. The architecture and decorations there were also beautiful and we could see the connection to our hotel. It was the perfect ending to a glorious honeymoon. If you are looking for someone to plan any sort of trip for you, let alone your honeymoon, we highly recommend Oscar at Cadence Travel. His patience, enthusiasm, and attention to detail made our trip special. Take it from a Baby Sitar playing wizard "He is Magic". Greg Vaughan Liz And The Wiz

I…read moredon't know what's going on with this Steve guy, but he seems to not understand that when he's booking international travel, he needs to get passport information, destination locations, and actually make an effort to get all of the pertinent information from customers before booking a trip. If travel agencies are having difficulty competing with online travel options, then it would be a good idea to have a staff which exhibits exemplary professionalism.
