This place has all the charm of a local neighborhood bar with an experience that feels special and specific for its customers. Apparently the theme changes every few months. We went during a Candy Land night. There were brightly colored decorations everywhere and the place smelled like fruit loops thanks to a scratch and sniff wall. The most impressive part is the drinks. Each one has a well thought-out recipe that truly feels like they are making art each time. Everyone I was with said "Wow I've never had a drink like this." We ordered something made with liquid nitrogen and I 10/10 recommend. It's served on a plate and comes out with a consistency that's somewhere in the middle of a drink and ice cream. You eat it with a spoon. Some places have bartenders. Some places have mixologists. This place definitely holds the latter. And unlike other speciality bars in Denver, we didn't have to wait in line. I can't tell you much about Adventure Time. I can tell you what I PERSONALLY experienced, but the theme changes every so many months, so it might be totally different when you visit. When I visited, it was a Candy Land theme, so all the drinks were candy themed. Candy and sweet are not my thing, but that's not why I visited this time around. However, I would've been more interested in the 80's theme they had previously, and am interested to see what they come up with next. This time around, I went for their summer spotlight series, which is where a different bartender offers a cocktail theme along with food pairings. I attended the first of the series, with the program manager, Paul Webb, and the theme was "The Art of Escape." I'm sharing my menu so you can see what the staff is capable of. Even if you don't go to one of their tasting menus, they have talent. Destination Nostalgia: cocktail had whiskey, clarified Granny Smith apples, wildflower honey, pineapple weed hydrosol, agua de pierda, river stone paired with peanture butter brittle with Japanese mile bread, black berry glee, and picked Serrano (this was my favorite dish and so surprisingly delicious). Destination Adventure: 400 conejos espadín, appelton estate, cardamom infused ancho reyes verde, clarified sea buckthorn, soursop, boab cordial paired with pickled pear, toasted Caribbean jerk, and ancho Destination Romance: Ferrand cognac 1840, clarified raspberry pineapple tepche, warm vanilla pineapple foam, raspberry rose caviar. Paired with chocolate pollo mole and peppered strawberry. Destination Celebration: Aspen vodka, Grand Marnier, gewurtraminer, lychee, sakura air. Paired with wild caught ahi and ossestra caviar. Destination Solitude: Boodles gin, calamansi, custom coastal tea blend, spirulina, coastal air. Paired with fried grouper with candied orange and crema. Destination Hope: Bullet bourbon, toasted oat, banana, angostura, vanilla cream Anyway . . . it was a fun and creative evening. As far as the company: I stumbled upon this tasting by accident. I emailed the owners to ensure they would be open on a Sunday I wanted to visit. They emailed back and said they were having a special summer tasting series as opposed to regular service. So I bought a ticket. While everyone there were friends of the owners and bartender and industry professionals, they were alls super welcoming and accommodating. If I ever return to Denver, I will definitely come back to Adventure Time! read more

Ryan and I met up with a few of our friends here tonight FINALLY. I had been wanting to come and try this place for a long time. And it did not disappoint. The drinks were beautiful and delicious in every way. Fun pretty themed cocktails and right now it is all set up for spooky season. What I was even more impressed with was the amazing people working behind the bar. They really took care of all of the people there and definitely have a close community that they care about as we watched some of the interactions happening around us. A lot of heart and soul into this special spot on Broadway. I can't wait to come back again soon with Ryan and our friends! Sometimes I get real anxious at bars and I get nervous to even order. We decided to go check out this cool bar. Parking was tricky, we had to circle around the streets until we found a lot. There was a bouncer at the door to greet us and check for ID. Stopped here randomly while waiting for a table to open at a nearby restaurant, and what an adventure it was! Lovely bar service, creative interior decorations and a really cool experiential concept. Welcome to Neon City. If you've ever wanted to feel like the main character in a futuristic sci-fi movie, this is your moment. Adventure Time Bar completely transforms their space floor to ceiling into immersive themes throughout the year, and the current Neon City experience feels like Blade Runner and The Matrix had a very stylish cocktail baby. The space is fully interactive with set pieces, photo ops, and little surprises everywhere. But the real magic happens at the bar. I'll be honest. Themed cocktail bars can sometimes sacrifice quality for spectacle. Not here. The drinks are theatrical and genuinely well balanced. My top three: Lucy's Dream -- served as an actual cloud with no cup. St. George Valley gin, cinnamon graham cracker syrup, cream, egg white, flash frozen and garnished with graham cracker crumbs. It comes with a spoon and knife. Yes, really. Electric Sheep -- vodka, carrot, pineapple, house space syrup, Madagascar vanilla, prosecco, topped with cheesecake cotton candy and electric blue buzz button dust. Completely over the top and somehow still cohesive. Tinfoil Unicorn -- ube liqueur, toasted coconut milk rum, salted crème, anko liqueur, boozy popping boba and hand cranked shaved ice. A dessert, a cocktail, and a personality trait. I also loved Flowers in Mars, Corpo Tini which is somehow a French onion soup martini, Digital Detox, and Cyberpunk Punch. Each ticket includes a welcome drink, two hours at a table, a loyalty punch card for the theme, and a souvenir. The themes rotate throughout the year, so it's always evolving. Very interactive. This is a really fun & unique bar for this area. Our friend told us about this place and so we planned a visit. We got a reservation as that is needed to get the secret code for the door. We were expecting an immersive experience. We walked in and realized that wasn't exactly what was happening. However, it is still a decent time. The drinks are supposed to be the main highlight here. This does mean they are on the higher side of about $16-$19. We came when the theme was Neon City. It was decked out, but I think we expected a bit more. It was still cute. Your $20 admission comes with a welcome drink and a souvenir. We got a pin. We got the Flowers on Mars, Electric Sheep, and the Cyberpunk Punch. They were all interesting with unique flavors. The Punch was served in a squiggly test tube. It was fun. Overall a decent time, but will not be adding to our regular line up. read more

We liked the decor and that the drinks matched the theme. It is amazing to me that the decor and the drink selection change for the season. All I can say is wow! We had a blast! Our reservation came with a free welcome cocktail when we entered the bar, and every drink we tried was bursting with insane flavors! Even the drinks we were worried might be too exotic or sweet were absolutely not- everything had excitement and balance. Most of the drinks had NAA mocktail options which I really appreciate - the two NAA drinks I ordered (the Electric Sheep & Loco Choco) were PHENOMENAL. I've been following Adventure Time Bar on instagram for a while so when they finally opened and released tickets on open table, I pounced. I made a reservation for 6pm for what would be their first Saturday open. The doors opened and we were checked in, ID'd, and then upon entry inside, handed a welcome drink and a wrist band. Immediately struck with a visual overload of neon, grounded fog, sparkling lights, and tv screens playing a variety of shows like Arcane, we proceeded to grab a table before ordering at the bar. NEON CITY indeed. They've got 14 cocktails on the menu along with a few wine options, beer (Weldwerks!), and a few bites. We had dinner plans after to stuck with cocktails and made our way through a respectable number. Also loved seeing St. George distillery (one of my favs) a couple times. LUCYS DREAM - they say dinner and theater is a thing. This cocktail is along those lines with the flash frozen pageantry. Made with St. George Valley Gin, a cinnamon graham cracker syrup, cream and egg white, the astronaut "ice cream" cloud was delicious. Served on a plate with spoons. ELECTRIC SHEEP - admittedly, this was the first cocktail they played to IG and I was intrigued. So after the shareable Lucy's Dream, I ordered it. Did. Not. Disappoint. Every element of this cocktail was a phenomenal gastronomic delight. This drink has everything: from the elixir itself with notes of carrot, vanilla, pineapple and spices to the whimsical cheesecake cotton candy adorning the top only to be sprinkled with a blue buzz button dust. I haven't had buzz buttons incorporated in my cocktail experience since Vegas so it was fun to relive! FLOWERS ON MARS - he ordered this riff on an old fashioned that was so light and approachable with Toki whiskey, shiso & umami bitters, lemon. The Martian cloche with lemongrass vapors was extra fun. CORPO TINI - this is me, writing the Internet about it. INCREDIBLE. If you dig a savory cocktail, you must order this French onion martini. The brioche foam and balsamic soaked Pearl onion take it to the next level. Will need to return for my own. The two sips were not enough! TINFOIL UNICORN - super cute albeit messy. Proper shaved ice (kudos) with 4 flavors like ube, red bean, coconut and one other that I forget topped with tiny boozy boba served with a spoon. LIQUID LACE - dare I call this a clarified espresso martini? Feels inadequate. Just order this sexy number. DIGITAL DETOX - loved this taste of this cocktail (bourbon, St. George spiced pear, honey, lemon) but it stained my lips dark purple pretty fiercely. Drinkers beware! The presentation of this one is fun with the frozen "boil" but makes the first few sips intense. I believe this Neon City run lasts until May, so will be back to try some more and of course enjoy my own Corpo Tini! read more

Every drink we tried was actually good, not just one that looks good "for the gram" The best part is the interactive bar experience. You basically get a show while they make your drink.
