We love this place. Their ropes and climbing wall courses are awesome and facilitated by well trained, patient employees. The toddler play Area was great years ago but I haven't experienced it post pandemic. Their programs are solid quality and the staff are consistently friendly and oriented toward solutions to issues.

Broken sink

Went for the first time last week and we were pretty disappointed. We booked last minute for the toddler play area to try it out and intended to stay the full two hours but barely lasted one because we weren't super comfortable. The woman checking people in/ working the front desk was super friendly. The play area for toddlers is cute but feels run down and a little dirty. I don't feel like things were being enforced for example, one woman was walking around with toeless socks which I didn't even know was a thing until I saw. Three of the kids playing had visible snot running down their faces...not just runny noses but thick yellow mucus. I understand not being able to control those things on the businesses end but maybe certain measures could be. There are signs saying please use the restroom to change children to be sanitary and yet someone was changing their kid on the seat where kids play by the train toy set. Right where the signs are. We went into the bathroom to change my daughter and it was really gross in there. One stall was very messy and backed up. They hadn't been open very long yet this day so I'm not sure how it looked so bad. There is a toddler sink with a step ladder that has water just running out of it as if someone left it on. We wanted to use that to wash my daughter's hands and the handle just completely fell off. There was a guy working, that we didn't realize was a worker for a minute. I think he is there to monitor to an extent, keep things tidy, etc. We saw him picking up things but found it really weird when he was just laying down hidden behind the play haystacks. When I would walk by he would just be staring at it made me feel uncomfortable which is when I walked back to grab my daughter to change her and get out of there. I reached out through email detailing our experience and asked for a refund for our time as we felt it was made out to be less run down and sanitary, but it was overall super gross. They didn't write back and so I sent a follow up and was ignored again.

My daughter had her 7th birthday at Adventureplex and it was very special. We loved the big obstacle course and jumping castle. You have to bring your own decorations, but they help you set up. Cons: Adventureplex is very expensive and the prices have gone up for birthdays. The price should include decorations and food, but it doesn't. Overall, I think it's worth the price. My daughter loved her birthday. It was very memorable.

Decent indoor playground, and the cost is reasonable since they don't charge for one adult. Unfortunately it's impossible to plan drop in play since the hours in the website, and instagram are wrong, and they don't answer the phone so you can't confirm hours. I've twice gone during times when it was clearly posted they would be open, only to be turned away at the door. Including today 2/4/24.

Way before my son was born I would come to AdventurePlex for an evening adult dodgeball league. I looked forward to those nights where I would decompress from a day at work to throw a ball at my 'enemy'. Fast forward to 7+ years later and I'm taking a postpartum fitness class here with my son sleeping in the stroller, then another year later my son is now walking and exploring Toddler Town, where a gym used to be. I love that this place exists for parents with toddlers! The Toddler Town is just perfect for their little minds to explore on their own, with adult supervision of course. I went on a Thursday morning, just had to sign a waiver and pay $12 for the entrance fee. It was pretty quiet, about half a dozen little kiddos playing around. So much space for them to run around and lots of toys to play with. It was really clean too! They require you to take your shoes off and have socks. If you forget socks I believe they sell them as well. When I was on maternity leave I joined their postpartum fitness class which is in partnership with Beach Cities Health District. Some of the classes were here and most of the time I was the only one in class. Danielle Spangler was the instructor and she was great! It's unfortunate that AdventurePlex doesn't promote it to get more involved. They are also in partnership with Mother Nurture Network and have Toddler and Me classes here. This class is for six weeks and is facilitated by a licensed therapist and discuss a range of topics. I hope to be taking my son here more in the future.

Says they are open Sunday at 10. It's 11am and the place is closed.

My son has been begging to go here for months so we finally decided to go Sunday at 11am. Website says they are open, Google says they are open. Website says you need to make a reservation so I've been calling all morning and just keep getting a message that they are on the other line. So I figured they're open and just busy. We drove down here and the place is all locked up. Sign on the door says they are open but clearly not.

Ask the Community - Adventure Plex

Does the 5-Level Play Structure have its own indoor zip line (distinct from ropes course)?

I haven't seen a zip line. The ropes course is outdoors, and I believe it's only used as a guided process with a small group of kids and 1-2 staffers.

It says we need to book a time slot in advance so I'm trying to book for my 3 year old but it's trying to charge me for her 6 month old sister who just sits in the stroller. Are infants free?

Thank you for reaching out, great question. We also accommodate toddlers, so we will normally charge extra for them if they will be playing with toys or if they are removed from the stroller and not held the entire time. No need to register your 6… Read more

Is this just for toddlers?

It's for kids of all ages. We took our 6 year old.

Do they serve food?

They do. All food is ordered through Fresh Brothers Pizza (salads, pizzas, etc. ) and delivered to your event.

Do they charge for babies?

This is designed for toddlers, so I imagine if you have a baby, accompanied by a paid admission or membership where that baby is just being babysat, not using the facilities it would be free, but am not positive. They key is probably having a paid… Read more

It is way bigger and has a ZIPLIIIINE Which sits to the far right side away from the toys! Every time Our kiddos come they have a blast and Heck I WANT TO STAY TILL DANG NEAR CLOSING!! ;-) Besides fun for the kids this location offers Parent's night out where they watch the kids and you get leave, Ladies Paint night which is a hoot, and various activities like parking lot water day and more! This gym is BIG compared to the other one we went to and there is so so much for the kiddos to do! One of the many things I appreciate is that while there are several swings I noticed on days when it is more crowded one or 2 are removed as to avoid kiddos swinging into other kids . However, how the gym is set up makes that less likely if a child walks the perimeter. While not because of the swing but this cute horse ramp thingy My owned kid mowed down a parent who was in her line of fire and it was both HILARIOUS (Me and the mom cracked up about it) I apologized to the mom and moved the toys back to where Ms. Tiffany originally had it -which would have avoided the accident in the first place (So my bad :-) ) I have so many things to say about how much I Enjoy We Rock The Spectrum! But the main thing is I can tell this place is run with love, integrity, and passion! We Will be back soon! *The Long Beach location closed a while ago which is why I am comfortable comparing the two. If they were still in business I would not have mentioned them.

Despite the edit, they are still making up lies about my child. They've also changed the language of the original comment. For example, from "my son" to "the owners son" I guess in an attempt to make it seem like someone else wrote it. It's weird if you ask me. Nobody is attacking you. If you deem every negative review as an attack against you then you should hire someone else to manage your social media. It's a bad look. I won't comment any further. Changing your comment towards me and editing it after I've responded to it is another sign of distrust. Hire an attorney and proceed with legal action if you think I'm lying. I will happily repeat everything I've said under oath and I have a witness. Update: the owner responded and essentially accused me of lying by saying my child did not get hurt there (she did although it was an accident). If that doesn't show you the level of professionalism at this place then I don't know what to tell you. To address her claims, my daughter was not upset on arriving. She became frustrated in the waiting room while we were waiting to fill out the form. Once she got into the gym she was jumping and shouting for joy. Nice job leaving that out, really helps build trust. The kid on the zip line had to be very close to middle school age. There was another kid close to middle school age as she mentioned who was likely her son. Neither one of those is the kid who stepped over and fell on my daughter. That kid was in elementary school and likely 6 years old or so. The parent even apologized when it happened. I'm guessing your cameras didn't catch that or you are being deceitful, either way it's concerning. Why else would we come in and leave after 7 minutes? I'll stand by my statement that having kids close to middle school age riding on a zip line in an area where autistic toddlers are walking around isn't exactly what I consider safe. There should at least be some padding or something blocking the path. Everything I wrote in the review is true. Instead of calling customers liars, go back and check your cameras in the play area again. My original review: If you have a toddler with autism, I would highly recommend against this place. I am really surprised that it has such a high score. Usually reviews are reliable. We took my 3 year old daughter who has slight autism here so she could check out a new place. They have you sign a liability waiver and I see why. The first thing I noticed is there are a lot of people packed into a tight area. The "gym" is about the size of our living room, maybe slightly bigger. There was a decent number of people in here for a small area. There are kids that are very young, and kids that look like they are close to entering middle school mixed together. They have a zip line, which is nice for older kids, but incredibly dangerous for kids that are toddler age. I would imagine most toddlers with autism cannot participate on the zip line, but easily could stumble into the path of it when an older kid takes off on it creating an incredibly dangerous situation. We had to keep moving our daughter away from the path that it travels as an older kid was riding it non-stop. They have a rock climbing wall, but I imagine it would be pretty hard to climb safely without shoes on (kids and adults have to remove shoes) as the parts that you step on to climb up are incredibly small compared to a normal rock climbing wall. They are about 1/4 of the size of the ones at Anderson Park, just for comparison. I just can't see how that would be comfortable for the child in the slightest. We were there for a whopping 4-5 minutes before an older kid bowled over my daughter and caused her to get hurt. She was sitting on the slide area and the kid just stepped on her and fell on her. Again, it seems like an incredibly bad idea to mix older kids with autism and toddlers with autism. $16 seemed like a fair price and the positive reviews had me excited to take her there. We left after only 4-5 minutes, $16 down the drain. I let the front desk person know this isn't a safe place for toddlers on the way out the door. They should have scheduled times for certain age ranges instead of mixing them all together. I can't think of any other establishment whether it be a daycare, school, therapy, etc where they mix kids of all age ranges together in small area with equipment that could cause possible injury.

Once we arrived, they helped to unload our car with the supplies and basically set up the party room themselves--which was awesome and looked great! The kiddos are given a quick breakdown of rules, and then we all went into the Village Arena. I really like that you get the play and dining areas to yourselves. They ran around like crazy for about an hour and half. There's a huge indoor slide which was fun not just for the kids, but also the adults! I wasn't sure if we should book the village or ultimate arena, but for kids ages 2-10, the village arena had more than enough bouncy houses and activities to keep everyone entertained. We had two staff members assigned to our group, I think their names were Eddie and Jacob? They were seriously fantastic. It was nice to have people step in to help with moving the party along, and also with set-up and clean-up. Their help made the party so much more enjoyable for me as well, since I could focus more of my energy on my son and our guests. The food was yummy, the staff was great, and the space is perfect for little ones. Oh, and there's quite a bit of flexibility on the food items you can bring in which can help to cut the overall cost down. If you're looking for a venue that has a private play and dining space, maintains a list of attendees and their respective gifts and cards, handles loading/unloading vehicles and set-up/clean-up, AND provides food options all under one roof--then Scooter's Jungle is the spot for your kiddos next birthday party extravaganza!

They keep a numbered list of guests who sign in and put that number sticker on the gift they bring. So smart! I'd say the target age is probably 3-6? I know they advertise for older and younger, but the best parties I've been to are 4-5 year olds because they can actually enjoy the big slide and use the play areas with minimal adult support. The parties are completely private, so no mixing with the public. They do pizza and cake service for you. They are friendly. The birthday kid gets a king's crown and special seat at the head of the table in their party room. The only "complaint" I'd have, if any, is that the kids have so much fun in the play area that sometimes it feels rushed once we get into the party room for cake. Also, the location is a bit random, they do have a parking lot, but spaces seem limited if you come during a hot hour. Despite that, it is very easy for the host.

My son was in the ball pit when this happened, and I noticed that there were wet footprints on the floor and on the edge of the pit. No matter how hard you try to Google map this location, the exact location won't show. The Google map will just show you that it is somewhere in the mall. Keep in mind that Del Amo Mall is a huge mall. We learned the hardware by parking 1/4 mile away. The way we found out is we had to look at a touch map inside the mall. It was quite confusing because the legend is not stationary, it rotates 180 degrees from your location. Always remember it is by Dicks Sporting Goods, nothing else. This place is hidden on the 2nd floor. It looks like a store. Deceiving looks from the outside. Arrived at this location which we were greeted for checkin under the birthday boys name. You must take off your shoes to enter, so make sure you have clean socks on. The other way is to wear some plastic booties, but it is frowned upon. That option is usually used as a last resort, like not wearing socks. The party was private, you can only have 1 party at a time. You self cater your food and drinks to the gathering. You can even bring a cooler with alcoholic beverages! Which is a plus for grown adults. Social and gathering with adult beverages males the conversation sweeter. This place is not like a chuckie cheese, it is more intimate with a core family since it is private. Its small so it may seem tight to move around. Place accommodates a jungle playground with plastic balls. Enough for the little ones to be entertained. There is one host that works there to assist with the games, food and photography (someones cellphone). That worker is very helpful. The other host works at the front counter for admission. Also you can even hire a character to visit and play games. Surprise appearance by Sonic! Woot woot! Overall, it is small and private. Good enough for 50 people. I will throw a small gathering here on a rainy day, cold or Superhot day only. There is nothing a public park cant provide that zoomi offers. Especially on a warm comfortable day. :) Lots of parking at the mall. Friendly helpful workers (only 2 of them). The 2 negative things is that stood out is removal of shoes and 1 restroom to use. Overall this place will get the job done to celebrate an ntimate birthday party. Fun fun ! Package pricing is unknown, I was not the host but assume it was a good deal since 90% of the party resources was purchased outside of the venue. Comfortable, cozy and small.
