Country Campus is an amazing…read morecenter.... the owners Steve and Heather work so hard to be sue to continue to help the growing of Battle Ground and Camas by accepting STATE FUNDED childcare. they are one of the very few centers in the area that do. do your research before judging a center based on these stupid reviews of unhappy parents. This center has to jump thru sooo many hoops to accept state families and its very costly. I was thinking of opening a inhome which is much easier until I spoke to some staff about the EARLY Achievers requirment they have for the center... I cant believe that the state requires them to have certain items and numbers of items per child. I can defintly tell you.... this center and staff are far better then any commerical center I have toured, yes their pay stinks... but again this center is filled with state families whom only pay $15-$65 a month for care and then the state pays much less then the actual daily rate. Do the owners ot respond to emails right away? Well could you if you work full time and have a family? Yes I agree the buildings need updated, but again that comes at a cost, the owners already put their own personal savings back into the business and do not take an income currently. so to thos people that want to leave a nasty review or judge a business based on a nasty review, you clearly have no clue how this world works. I see many great reviews on here after they had an open house, but yelp dosent view them and here the center sits. if the center could review the parents on a site like this that would be great... Parent does not pay on time, does not bring lunch for child, picks up late, drops off before their schedule, brings child in in yesterdays clothes, more concerned about their nails, clothes, and car but yet only pays $15.... yes I have seen it all in the few years my kids have gone to the center, and the staff take it with a smile!!!! He's always warmly greeted when dropped off in the mornings and he's always happily playing when we pick up. They use an app during the day so I'm able to see pics and his schedule throughout the day. He does lots of art and outside play in all weather conditions (which we love!)! We've been happy with everything going on at the Camas location! Happy kiddo = happy mama!

I've had two kids attend and after reviewing some other options in the area, have been so glad to have them come to Great Starts. We really like Ms. Lisa, the pre-K teacher, who has done such a wonderful job helping our first child become super prepared for kindergarten. Our youngest is also learning the fundamentals that most kindergartens learn about. Theresa and the rest of the staff really go above and beyond, whether it's putting on Christmas programs, inviting parents to attend lunches around other holidays, and more. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a daycare for their young child or a place for their child to prepare for kindergarten.
