Both of my children attended a different outdoor pre-school for the Fall 2025 semester where their experience was overwhelmingly positive. At their prior school, the lead teacher was a former elementary school teacher with over 20 years of classroom experience. At PNWK, the teachers were considerably less experienced. All teachers, including the lead, were fairly recent graduates who, while passionate about nature and children, did not have the depth of expertise nor formal early childhood education training that we were expecting. The lack of formal training and experience became more evident to us when we learned about behavioral challenges our kids were having at school. While the teachers were kind, they did not seem equipped to deal with problematic behaviors. Similarly, the program as a whole did not seem designed to meet kids where the are, but rather to push "problem children" out through regular calls for early pick ups. Within several weeks of starting the program, we began receiving calls for early pick ups on a regular basis. Keep in mind a "full day" is only 3 hours including the time they are eating their packed lunch, and that they only attended 2 days a week. Obviously this created a lot of stress for our family, and an inability to treat the program as reliable childcare. Unfortunately, that stress also seemed to permeate to our kids who began to say they did not like school, which was heartbreaking to hear. The reports we got seemed to indicate that their behavior at school only worsened over the course of the semester. When it became more clear that the program was not a good fit for our family, we began asking about withdrawing or phasing out of the program. Unfortunately, the payments are structured such that you cannot withdraw without forfeiting significant amounts of advance tuition. However, we eventually cut our losses and moved on. Truthfully, there was a tremendous mental weight lifted off our family after separating from the program, as it had created a lot of stress for both us and our children. It's disappointing because this seems to the only outdoor preschool program in the area, and my children previously had such positive experiences at their prior school.

Our programs are designed to integrate children with nature and engage them in quality outdoor activities, which stimulate their innate curiosity about the natural world. Our goal is to help children become strong, confident and self-sufficient, while developing a love of learning. We plant seeds and pull grass, collect flowers and count pinecones, climb trees and jump off stumps and explore both on and off park trails.

They have everything a fitness enthusiast could possibly ask for: (2) beautiful, clean (saltwater) pools, spa, steam, sauna. I'm a lap swimmer, so I really appreciate these. Upstairs is a great weight and cardio area with ALL the bells and whistles, plus a great indoor walking track for the winter months. I'm not a tennis or pickleball player, but they have quite a few courts, both indoor and outdoor. They have quite a large staff, and in my experience they're all consistently professional and courteous and provide excellent service. They even have a bar with food on the premises which is normally open during late afternoon / early evening. They used to have a "junior center" here, prior to the pandemic, but unfortunately it has not re-opened since then. This lack of service and amenities for kids is my only complaint. Quite a few of the reviews here mention the fact that the building is "old and outdated". Yes, the building is older, but considering the HUGE scope and incredible variety of amenities, I can easily overlook that minor issue. In general, the staff do an excellent job of maintaining the building and equipment. One more thing, their dues are VERY reasonable, especially if you're just using their athletic / fitness facilities (as opposed to golf and tennis). Their pricing structure charges different amounts depending on whether you're a golf, tennis, or athletic member.

In my opinion, their loss. This club is not only the best bang for your buck in Clark County with all the ammenities it offers but management and whole staff (incl Jody) do a great job. Everyone is nice and helpful. Someone mentioned VTC for tennis, I am still a member there and like the classes and pros a lot, but it's next to impossible to get a court. And while the annual dues my be low, it's very expensive overall. CGM has several days of free play for men and women, they provide balls for our tennis matches and Carlos & Emory are just the best. I love the fact that it is private and they limit the membership so we can all use the facility for tennis, pickleball, gym, pools, saunas, classes, etc., when we want.

There are people doing either watercolor or pencil or graphite or pastels or oils -- all in the same class. So each person picks out a subject to draw or paint, then the teacher walks around trying to help each student. It's too bad, because there are lots of older adults in the Salmon Creek area who are having to drive downtown to take art classes so they can be with other older adults and a teacher who teaches. Also agree with other review that it is very disorganized. Very hard to find out when and what their classes are, and the quality of the teachers, mostly very young 20s, varies widely. I had one teacher who would just sigh heavily and shake her head when she would look at my painting, but offer no help other than that I needed to buy some expensive oil paint when I was trying to learn in acrylic paints that I'd already spent money on. Plus there's no phone number listed for the Salmon Creek school, only the personal cell number of the business owner at the south location, who won't give out any information about classes until you give him all your personal information and then says he'll have someone from Salmon Creek call you back. Horrible way to do business. I think they're not interested in adults, only in getting more children in.

Per contract, we had to pay for the next month because we didn't give a 30 day notice. It was more important to withdraw her as we saw this took a toll on her confidence and comfort in a learning environment. She said he completely trashed an area of the classroom. My son wouldn't fuss up to it so my husband took him to view the footage. Surprise! He didn't do it. What was the point? He's not coming back? Why did y'all have to do that for? I am so glad he's finally out of this school. It felt like he's been labeled this awful kid for doing normal three year old behavior. The other kids would come up to me during pick up time and tell me how he's been "bad all day." He was placed in a class room where I was told "five minutes of reading or dancing at the carpet" was age appropriate for circle time. Then he moved up to a classroom where he'd be expected to sometimes sit at the table with no toys or activities for 15-20mins while teachers put away cots. Of course he's going to struggle and not control himself as well as the 4-4.5 year olds. He's a fresh three year old coming from a room with no established routine.
