This is not the place for kids who have any sort of challenges. It is quite unfortunate that they my child was not able to continue there.

Kiddie Academy of Vancouver-Fishers Landing

Kiddie Academy of Vancouver-Fishers Landing

As a working parent of a very young child, making the decision to go back to work can be such a…read moreheart wrenching decision to make. We feel lucky to have found Kiddie Academy in Vancouver and even luckier to have the ability to leave our sweet angel with such talented and awesome teachers. In our search for quality daycare, my husband and I visited countless centers both in Portland as well as in the Vancouver/Camas area and either had our name placed on an extensive waitlist or knew the center we were visiting wasn't the best fit fit for our family. We had the amazing luck of stumbling upon Kiddie Academy during their pre-opening enrollment period and after a meeting with the assistant director and the director, we quickly placed our deposit down and enrolled our youngest in their daycare program. The center is brand new and the technology is wonderful (think real time video monitoring, personalized mid-day updates, and end of day activity summaries). I can honestly say that we've consistently found the team at Kiddie Academy to be smart, genuine, and very caring. This center's team will actively listen, without expressing judgement, to any thoughts or concerns you might have. Every employee we've connected with thus far has been dedicated to continuous improvement; consistently focusing on optimized outcomes which benefit the children. If you have the great fortune of securing your little one a spot here too, don't pass up the opportunity! We're big fans of the Kiddie Academy and looking to the future, we're excited to partner with their team in the care and development of our child.

He started his learning…read morejourney here this year just before he turned two and within few days he adjusted so well that we did not have to worry anymore. This is because of the very friendly and caring staff/teachers. They make even the parents comfortable right from day one with constant updates about the kid's activities with pictures, notes about the meal times and by promptly responding to any questions/concerns at any point of the day. The school follows just the right curriculum what we need for all ages. At these covid times, they follow the best practices, hygiene and precautions that we expected. With bright ambience in the classrooms, huge play areas and extremely caring teachers, this school just proves to be a second home for our son and his second happy place!! Very thankful to Nancy, Vinisha, Cynthia and all the teachers for making this possible. I highly recommend this school for all early learners!

In the year that they have been at Safari Kid, their progression has demonstrated positive growth in so many ways. Safari Kid has provided an excellent environment for our boys to discover the joy in learning. Their response to the play-based and socio-emotional aspects of the curriculum has been so positive. The administration and staff go above and beyond in providing a sense of safety and community, helping our kids to grow into independent, sociable, curious, playful, and confident learners. We truly feel that the teachers, administration, and staff care about the well-being and growth of our kids. As parents we are continually impressed by the new skills acquired by our children from lessons provided by Safari Kid. We are so glad we found Safari Kid!

Kidspace Child Enrichment Center

We have had the most incredible experience at Kidspace Child Enrichment Center!…read more My daughter started her preschool journey at Kidspace when she was 3 years old, continued into pre-K, joined the Summer program, and is now part of their first ever Kindergarten class. The teachers are so passionate about helping the children grow and learn, and they truly care about the children and families who attend. It is hard for me to put into words how wonderful this place is, but I will do my best to express how lucky we feel to have been part of the Kidspace family for the past few years. When my daughter started at Kidspace, we were so excited to see how much she loved going to school everyday. The very nurturing atmosphere allowed my daughter to challenge herself and grow through hands on play and exploration in all areas of learning, and with a lovely focus on nature and the outdoors. The incorporation of the Nature School program twice each week has been something we feel lucky to have been part of. My daughter also loves the indoor gym and the outdoor play space, and her creativity, imagination, and engagement in learning have grown tremendously since she started at Kidspace. My daughter also loved attending the weekly Gymnastics class hosted at Naydenov. The owners, Kathy and Sharon, are so passionate about what they do, as are all of the teachers we've had the pleasure of working with, and all of the staff go above and beyond to help the kiddos feel comfortable, happy, and able to express themselves, while feeling challenged to do their very best. Being that this is the first year they have implemented a Kindergarten class, we were so excited to have had this opportunity to continue my daughter's education at such an amazing facility. When Covid hit, we knew there would be some changes to what school might look like. Kidspace has absolutely exceeded our expectations. Kathy and Sharon transformed the space to make it very Covid friendly so that we felt confident our daughter would be safe and healthy while going to school everyday. Temperature checks upon arrival, sanitization stations, mask wearing, plexiglass partitions, and other impressive Covid measures made us feel so lucky to be able to continue our educational experience without worrying about the virus. The Kindergarten teachers have done an incredible job starting my daughter's elementary education journey, with the Nellie Edge program, ASL, singing, dancing, helping her find a love and passion for reading, numbers, nature, and more. I could go on and on about how much we love Kidspace, but hopefully you'll check out their program for yourself and fall in love just like we did!

We have been at Kidspace for two yes. I've been holding off on writing a review because there are…read moreno words I could write to accurately describe the level of care, compassion, thoughtfulness, curiosity, and love for learning that exudes every inch of this school. My kid asks to go to school almost every day. My mind is at ease at drop off off, and when I pick her up, she is usually beaming about what they did in school that day. As a bonus, she has made several great friends. In my personal experience in observing many preschools and interacting with their children and staff as part of my job, many are just meeting the basic needs. Yes, the children are usually safe. But are they engaged? Educated thoughtfully? Do they feel like part of the school family? Do YOU? At Kidspace they are and you will! Kidspace is magical and a revelation. ALL children should have the opportunity to attend a preschool THIS GOOD! The owner is also actively exploring bringing back the Kindergarten program starting in the 2023-2024 school year! Check them out!

As a mom who spent years staying home with my children and homeschooling, allowing them to attend a school and early learning center for the first time was a big step for our family. I want to recognize Rosemary the director of the school and Samaeayah, the director of the early learning center. I genuinely appreciate their hearts for the children, families, and staff. It's evident to me that they care deeply about the direction of the center and want to see it grow into something wonderful. Having leadership with hearts for the Lord makes such a difference. As a parent, it has been wonderful watching my children learn and grow. The toddler teachers (Jodie, Elizabeth and Jill) have done an amazing job teaching our 2 year old son in many ways! Jesse has learned a lot of sign language as well as social and emotional skills! It has been so sweet seeing him use what he's learning! The elementary teachers are also wonderful. They are genuinely involved with their students, passionate about teaching, and intentional about building relationships with the children. I also want to recognize the preschool teachers, as I walk past their classrooms or occasionally step in to help during nap time, I get to witness some of the little moments that parents don't always get to see. I've watched teachers take time to pray with the children, patiently redirect challenging behaviors, speak gently to little ones, and teach them so many different things throughout the day. Those moments may seem small, but they truly matter. Working with young children requires so much patience, consistency, and love, and I hope these teachers know that their efforts do not go unnoticed! As the new lead infant teacher, I can also say that working with the babies each day has brought me so much joy. I love having the opportunity to nurture them, encourage their development, and create a loving environment where they feel safe and cared for. Like any school, there is always room to learn and grow, but I truly appreciate the heart behind Sonshine and its desire to provide children with a Christ-centered education and a place where they are loved. I'm thankful my family gets to be part of it!

Do not recommend! So…read moreincredibly disappointed with Sonshine daycare AND the church. I registered my daughter and paid the $70 fee and she was to start in about a week however within 3 days the governor shut down public schools completely due to covid. I reached out to the day care and director David and let them know we would be postponing her start date until I have more information about covid and if my employer was shutting down as well. Within a couple days the daycare was completely shut down to non essential workers as well. I called the church as I couldn't get through to the daycare and was told they were temporarily closed. A couple weeks later I called the daycare and left a message asking if I could please be reimbursed for our registration fee since my daughter never started due to Covid. I didn't hear back for a week and still no returned calls but rather an email saying " sorry we don't refund registration fees". Now if I had changed my mind and wanted my daughter to go somewhere else then I understand not being able to refund. However schools, employers and the daycare were temporarily shut down so I feel the right thing to do would be to refund me my money. David the director refused to do so, so I emailed the church from their main website, a week passed and no response. I called in and left a message with the receptionist of the church and still no response and another week has passed. So incredibly disappointed in the lack of professionalism and care, blown away that a Christian church and preschool would treat people this way. Again my daughter never started due to state regulations from Covid in which schools, daycares and employers were shut down, why would I not be reimbursed??

We primarily have worked with Ms. Kristina, Ms. Gaby and Ms. Journey. Seeing that this was a new experience for us, there were a lot of reservations I had about this new chapter; as with any parent, I was scared that they would not receive that attention they need, the level of care, etc. The teachers at Lakeshore Learning Center quickly put my anxiety at ease after seeing how they took my children under their wing, looked after and genuinely cared about their growth and wellbeing. Each teacher has a warmth to them which makes it very clear that they are there for your kids as both a teacher and friend. I was/am impressed by their structured daily routine and how they keep the children engaged with art, science, dance, song, sensory, etc. The center itself is clean, well organized and operated with kind people. Also, I cannot say enough about how pre-K at Lakeshore really provides the essential tools for Kindergarten readiness. We are thankful and blessed to be attending Lakeshore Learning Center. Thank you for all the love you have shown our kiddos!
