We rent a cabin and right now is 12:53pm I can't sleep this is full of bedbugs we come with 3 kids they are sleeping in the floor is a little better then the beds, the bed are so infected with bedbugs, we have a 2 night reservation but we can't stay another night here, I have the lights on and I'm wake up killing bedbugs so they don't but my kids, the place is really nice and beautiful but the bedbugs problem ruined everything read more

So I'll start off by saying I've been coming to this campground for years with my family (my dad has been for 20 +). My family was staying at a cabin and invited + paid for a pass for me to come visit for the evening. Upon pulling in I forgot where they told me their cabin was so I parked at the office to try to call my mom (bad phone service for me in the area). Couldn't reach her. Saw a man walking up to the building so I figured he worked there and would easily help me figure out where I was going.... BIG NO. I said "hi, can you maybe help me" he turned around to me and looked extremely irritated that I was bothering him, I immediately felt unwelcome (this is the GENERAL MANAGER). I started asking him to direct me to where the teepee was/is- He screamed at me that he never EVER had a teepee in HIS campground. Ok so onward-- he puts his head close to my car window and demands I tell him who I am here to see, I tell him my mother. He YELLS "I've got a lot of mothers here so that doesn't really help me now does it miss" so I tell him my mothers name and he immediately yells there is no *her name* in my campground and that I need to leave. So I was very upset and I yelled not the nicest things at him (hey I was on my way out anyway) lol. BUT if you're the general manager of a campground I think you would know the guests who are there! To immediately tell me my mother wasn't there was wrong, he straight up lied. Wouldn't even check the system to see if she was. So I come back because my dad wants to talk to me and this man and this man puts his hand in my face like he was going to hit me ( I'm a smaller female). Disgusting treatment, went in planning on having a nice evening with my family and right from the start I was lied to and told to leave! If you do go there stay away from him and keep your daughters away from him! He had mine scared! read more

This campground is a scam all the way around. Take your money and spend it elsewhere. From the start the communication emails were poor...from total cost to stay to directions to get there. The pool was much smaller than what expected looking at the website. It also didn't seem it was being cleaned throughout the weekend. Lots of debris and gross items floating around. Bathrooms not clean. The activities were meh'.....and this was a holiday weekend. Not much to do there aside from the pool. At night the crowds were very rowdy and several times we saw actual police officers patrolling so needless to say with kids I felt a bit unsafe at times. A couple got into a domestic altercation right in front of them. We were there for a long weekend so we wanted to check out the surrounding area. Not much around the area unless you drive about 30 min out. Far from an adventure at all. And to top it all off...the cable and wifi they claimed was available was totally not. I could not text, make a call, get the TV going in the evening...nothing. We've been to 50 campgrounds and the wifi is never really great but this was beyond ridiculous. Been here many times since my first review and still for the life of me can't understand why so many haters. I will reiterate my original statement - if we ever go seasonal without a doubt this is where we will go. Everything from the staff, to the amenities, activities, cleanliness of the property etc is top notch. In fact this weekend while we were there they had a sewer main break to the lower level bathrooms. Not only did they immediately get working on it, but they called in heavy equipment; backhoe, etc. It was dug up and replaced on Saturday in no time flat. The bathrooms were spotless when reopened and were only down for a few hours. I'm sure using contractors on a weekend wasn't cheap and technically they could have waited till Monday since the upper facilities were still usable but didn't. That speaks volumes about their commitment to their campers. The staff, including the manager go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. If you have kids they will definitely not be bored here! I love it and can't wait till the weekend to head back. read more

I always liked and enjoyed going to Oak Creek campground until now. First off, my sister and I made reservations for our families for this past weekend. No matter what campground we go to we like for our campers to be next to each other or not too far apart. So when we were at Oak Creek we planned our next camping trip before we left. We both decided to pay the extra 20 dollars to ensure our campsite. When we arrived at the office we found out that we didn't get the campsites we paid the extra for. I was put on the campsite I was on three weeks ago when I was there. Plus the bathouse near us was closed. Another reason that I didn't want that site. The office staff didn't even try to make amends when we told them about the bathhouse. Most people in that area are seasonal and have their own bathrooms. Thank goodness my sister had a bathroom. Secondly, with this pandemic I felt uncomfortable there. Three weeks ago masks were mandated to go into the store, etc. No they are up to the discretion of everyone. I'm sorry. I know masks are uncomfortable and some people don't see the need for them, but I don't want to get sick. There were gatherings of more than 25 people and no one was wearing a mask. Unfortunately I don't think I will go back anytime soon. read more

Not many activities unless you want to drink at the dumpster, yup that's an activity. All the seasonals built bars on their site so they can drink. The grass is never cut. It's all about partying. Not our cup of tea Would not recommend this campground unless you want to ride around drunk on go. read more

I never write reviews but wanted to say how much I love Oak Creek after seeing some of the low ratings. We are about to head out for our fourth camping trip here. This will be our first trip in one of the cabins instead of a tent. Once we found this place we haven't gone anywhere else! Here's just a few of the awesome things about this place: 1. The campsites have plenty of space. 2. Everything is super clean, even the bathrooms. 3. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly 4. There are a million activities to keep kids occupied. 5. The creek is gorgeous and we love staying on it! We have never had a bad experience here and we recommend it to everyone we know looking for a nice place to camp. read more

We love Oak Creek Campground! Michael the park manager is wonderful, he has done so much for us, just love him! We are at the park full time and it has been over a year. I have seen many negative comments about Michael and they really don't know him! My husband was in an accident with his motorcycle and was taken by ambulance and admitted to the hospital. Michael took his own truck on his own time and drove over an hour and picked up my husbands bike and brought back to me at our campsite! Micheal runs a great crew and keeps the place in top notch shape! He is fair and honest, BUT he will not tolerate people who create trouble in the campground, just as any great manager should be! Love Oak Creek and Michael! Come camp with us lots of activities!!! read more

It seems to be a trend that so many campgrounds lately have such bad management. This place is following that trend as well. I would not recommend this place until it's under new management. read more

came here for the first time just the other day. aug. 23rd 2017. we checked in & had only spent one night instead of the two we paid for due to SEWAGE smell, mouse feces, and MOLD inside the RV camper we had rented. manager avoided us and woman at counter told us we can pack our stuff and leave. manager has been emailing us telling us he does not owe us any compensation due to him only finding 5 pieces of mouse feces, no mold , and no sewage smell. i do not recommend this place.... has horrible reviews as it is. read more

quoted me the wrong price, fine i bit my tongue. then told me if im not there before 9pm i cant check in and they have to refund me. this was after going back and forth on the phone 5-6 phone calls. got very short on the phone with me, wouldnt let me talk to the manager, and insisted on refunding me. what a waste of my time. read more

We have given oak creek campground one star because we had to in order to write something! But Michael, the new manager, does not even deserve that! Today I called to add on a day to our existing weekend we had planned in October only to find out it has been cancelled on us by them without any notification! I admit I should have sent in my gift certificate earlier that we are using to pay for the remainder of the weekend, but my last message from them says that I need to mail it in before our October weekend! Umm last time I checked we are still in September! Now we have people going there to be with us and we have no site! When I called to talk to michael about this he could have cared less about our situation because "he has other people waiting for a site!" Keep up your attitude and that won't last long! I am not just a number I am a human being and deserve to be treated as such! My immediate family will never be back and I will encourage other family and friends to stay away also! Why go somewhere where they could care less about you as long as they are still making money? It is a real shame that such a great campground ended up in such incompetent hands! read more
