Having a child with autism means medical visits require extra care, patience, and…read moreconsistency--something that has unfortunately been lacking at this Nemours location. Every time we come in for unscheduled labs, it's a challenge. Each technician seems to follow a different process or policy, which creates confusion and unnecessary stress for both parent and child. Consistency really matters in situations like this, especially for children who rely on routine and preparation. My son typically needs a numbing freeze applied to his arm before injections to help make the experience manageable. We've learned that there's no way to request or schedule this in advance, which is already difficult--but today we were told no one was available to assist with it at all. Situations like this make an already stressful experience even harder. I truly hope this location can improve communication, consistency, and accommodations for children who need a little extra support.

I went there for my Yearly Physical, like I have been doing for the past 10 years, and they made me sign a paper stating that if I have concerns outside of the ones the physician was going to check for me, I was going to get charged. I wasn't able to discuss the back pain I've had or my sleeping problems because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to afford my yearly check up! Then when the check up was over (the physical didn't even ask if I had any questions, I'm guessing because if I did I would get charged) I was sent on my way and they still charged my insurance for things we didn't even talk about. This is very suspicious and in bad faith. I wish we talked about the things they said they did but she didn't even mention some of them, she just wanted me out of there asap. I told her a medicine I was taking and she charged me for ADHD???? We didn't even discuss anything related to that. I will be calling my insurance to see if they can fight some of the charges.
