Not sure why all the bad reviews but make your appointment easily online, lots of times available. It's located near Walgreens, plenty of parking. Check in is simple, if you had a reservation just scan your QR code, ID, and insurance card. Lots of seating, it's large and clean. A lot nicer to other quest locations I have been to. Big screen letting you know how many people are infront of you. I only waited about 10 min after my appointment time, inside is also nice and clean. She was friendly, didn't feel a thing, whole process was quick and painless! Highly recommend this location. read more

Quest has really stepped up their game with the check-in process! I was shocked and impressed to see the remodel of this location - entirely new floors, doors, wall decor, along with easy and efficient to use kiosks that can scan your ID and insurance card right on the spot! Aside from the fact that it's nice, clean and pretty - there is ample parking here and typically not that many people in comparison to some Quests that I have been to. I do still give it only 4 stars because even if you have an appointment and there are only a couple people in line, it's still always a wait.. and sometimes a considerable one. read more

Absolutely horrible. Every time I make an appointment I have to wait 30-40 minutes. What is the point?!? For my 9:20 appointment, there were 10 people ahead of me, some with a 9:10, and about 6 people at 9:20?!?! The nurse who took my blood was so kind. I told her about my anxiety with bloodwork and she immediately took my mind off of it and was so gentle with me. I appreciate her doing her job efficiently and effectively. In the past nurses have had a hard time finding my veins and have poked around a lot but she was in and out. I highly recommend making an appointment as the wait is typically long otherwise. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment and was called in before my scheduled appointment time. The process had changed since the last time I was here. Usually you check out with a receptionist and then wait for the phlebotomist, but I was called in by my phlebotomist and paid from right there in the room. I thought this was much better so then I don't have to wait twice. The phlebotomist was nice enough -- didn't introduce herself or ask "how are you?". She saw the paper in my hand and only asked, "Is that your paperwork?" However, she gave a good stick, better than others I've received. I always get woozy and she was kind and had an assistant retrieve some water for me. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. But I think they need to change their approach to service. A simple introduction and asking "how are you?" would make a world of difference. read more

Horrible communication, as I called to check if they got my doctors order and it was just some voice prompter that would not let me speak to a human just to confirm. When I got there for my appointment time, apparently they're "not in the right region" for my doctor to send the order electronically, so I waited TWO HOURS for the doctor to fax them my order. This could have all been avoided if they would just let me ask a simple question. At least the girl drawing my blood found my vein and did the actual blood draw very quickly. The new Quest Diagnostics app works great. The office is amazingly nice- I mean, far nicer than any lab I've ever been in. But, then, unfortunately, the nurse couldn't find a vein. She tied the arm off poorly, couldn't find it after rioting for it for almost a minute and a half. She found a vein in the other arm..... Then, after bringing in a sample, the called me four hours later(I don't live nearby), and asked me to come back in. Clearly, the Interns were working unsupervised today. Avoid. I just want to take a moment to thank Patricia at Quest Diagnostics in Lake Nona. I showed up for my 7:40 appt this morning without my paperwork. She could have easily turned me away or told me to make another appt and wait, but instead she gave me her name and told me to come back and ask for her once I had my paperwork. Within 15 minutes I had my paperwork faxed over and she got me in and out super fast! She went above and beyond to help me, even when it was my mistake. She is amazing and definitely deserves the recognition! read more

I have a hard time with blood draws usually, and the tech I got here got me on the first stick and did a great job. The time on the screen did fluctuate a bunch as appointments and drops offs came in that were prioritized. I recommend getting there before 7, there were a lot of early wakers! All in all, I was in and out in 45 minutes or so, which as a walk-in wasn't bad at all. Overall, I'd go back if I had to, especially given the convenient location. read more

I totally recommend Candice for your lab test. I was completely terrified as I have a phobia to needles, but she was AMAZING! She was not only gentle but she also helped me relaxed and she made me feel comfortable.I didn't even feel the needle and while she was taking my blood she helped me focus on something else to make the whole process easier. If you are scared of needles or blood test DO NOT hesitate to go with her! Wait time for a walk-in is quite long, but it is expected as you are a walk-in. read more

My husband went to this location for the first time. When you go to quest they always give you an estimate of what it could be. Usually they tell you the highest amount that you can pay in case your insurance doesn't accept certain things and take your card. This time around my husband went for his annual blood work. This is the only time he goes to the dr and doesn't ever pay for bloodwork. The lady that took his papers and blood told him there would be no cost to him and his insurance will cover everything. They did not take his card. They did not give him the " this may or may not be covered" as I have heard many times even for my routine check ups. Well insurance did not accept one of the tests, which after calling quest all they can say "That they should have told him sometimes that isn't covered. " IF they would have told my husband that it may not have covered, he would have not had it done. Yet because the person who was working there did not do their job we are stuck with almost $400 bill. I have called to see if there is anything we can do and asked for call backs from a manager/ supervisor since this was a careless mistake on their part. I have taken my blood constantly here and am always given estimates, my card is always taken and I have been told what may or may not be covered. Not once has a supervisor been available to answer or take calls. I get transferred and hung up on. I have left my number to be called back and there is no call back within the 48 hours. When I call back, I'm told that the note says they called and left a voicemail. Which are lies. There is never a call. They do not care what situation people are going through and are not responsible enough to take responsibility for their workers. They don't believe in customer service to even give a call back. We have had a few reps that answer and tell us this should be an easy fix and try to pass on our message but nothing. You can test your vitamin d with them for around $70-$80 yet they want to charge us the insurance's price for $400? Despite THEIR mistake, we aren't trying to get it for free. We would like the respect to admit their mistake and work with us with the amount and not the insurance price. read more

What happened Quest Diagnostics? We used to come to this location years ago and the service was prompt and courteous. We moved away and hadn't used their services in many years. We arrived at the location at 5:50 AM with a 6:00 AM appointment. There were already 7 people outside waiting in the dark waiting for the door to open. After getting in, we had to wait for everyone that was there to check in the only one tablet available to do so. An elderly man with no technological abilities had to be assisted checking in by another patient waiting to do the same. None of the employees came to assist him. Then we waited... 45 minutes later we are called. It's unbelievable that right in the XXI century and in so close location to Lake Nona's Medical City, there's such mediocre service. read more

Prepare to not be treated like a human at this location. Went in for a simple blood test and left feeling genuinely worse then I did going in. I tried being polite and was met with cold silence for the most part. The lady taking my blood even gave me a bit of attitude at the end for absolutely no reason. Probably the worst quest in the area but it won't lef me give zero stars. They'll estimate you at a 30 minuteut wait and leave you sitting in the lobby for 70 mis. Once through they'll tell you its appointments but the screen in the lobby tells you times and walk-in vs. appt so it's not that. Once you're through it's more waiting in the hallway with your folder. There's no sense of urgency or apology for the wait. You can't get an appointment here without weeks notice minimum and when you have one you'll still be lef waiting a minimum of 30 minutes to be seen. read more

I took my 11-year-old daughter to this laboratory yesterday to collect blood, my daughter has a needle phobia and is always sick when she needs to do this type of exam, we did the exam, made the payment with a debit card, the nurse handed us the receipt , around 2 hours they called me saying that I needed to go back to the lab and sign the receipt, I informed them that I was at school with my daughter and that maybe I couldn't, at 2:52 they left me a voice message saying that if I don't they would not run the exam and today in the morning I was there to sign the voucher they told me that they threw my daughter's trash in the trash and that she would have to redo everything, disrespectfully, the amount had already left my account, the there was a balance, they had no right to do that. read more

An hour later, I still haven't been called and have watched 8+ walk-ins get called before me. And of course there's no one in sight to talk to or ask questions to since Quest has decided to do away with a receptionist. Only to be told when I get to the location that I can't do the test because they close in an hour... then got attitude because I "didn't know the hours of business" like it's my fault! Wish I could have given zero stars. My wife had to go to Quest Lake Nona and went in with little to no expectations due to past experiences. Once she entered the location was very nice and she was happy with a positive attitude. That changed rather quickly. Once she, the customer, greeted the receptionist with your standard "hello, how are you" she is greeted with "Yes". Then came the real standard Quest experience. It seemed like the lady was going the extra mile to make her experience difficult. From asking for the Dr. orders to a copy of her DL. Nothing was easy!! The experience was consistent with the next lady that was basically going through the motions in the back. Trust me, if there is a way to use someone other than Quest, do it! Save yourself the heartburn. Customer experience goes a long way and unfortunately, Quest lives up to their reputation. No matter how nice or new the office looks it's all about the people you staff your office with. If you're not happy with what you do. Find something else. read more

i have regular blood draws every few months & dread them, as i have small difficult veins. i went to a quest location on semoran & had an AWFUL experience. i never went back & drove almost an hour out of the way to go to a phlebotomist i trust. i decided to give this location a chance, since it is in our neighborhood. it is clean, new, the staff is friendly, and the phlebotomist got my vein on one try! highly recommend it! read more
