I don't recommend this company to anyone. Advantage Roofing replaced my roof in Sept. 2010. My new roof then started leaking in several places.( My old roof never leaked even when it lost more than 20 shingles during the windstorm. ) Seems it was going to be endless repairs until I replaced my roof again this Summer by another company. I told Tim, the owner of Advantage Roofing, their roof was not acceptable. Tim would never pay to replace my roof. It was a relief to him until he found the shingles he put on my roof were defective. He helped me filed a claim. But the warranty claim is not like insurance claim. The shingle company was trying not to pay you as much as you need to replace your roof. Also, the warranty doesn't cover my interior damages. My ceilings were damaged in several places. Advantage Roofing doesn't pay to repair my ceilings either. Though they offered me 10 years warranty and they said yes to repair interior damages to their customers. In his last email to me (he then became no response.), he wrote: Good Morning! Hope all is well! Sorry to hear that you chose another contractor. Because the leak and the damage to the ceiling was directly and only caused by a manufacturer defect, and in no way related to our workmanship and installation, we have no responsibility for the ceiling damage. Mallory Owner Advantage Roofing You cannot imagine how much time it had cost me and how much headaches I had in dealing with the roof that is by Advantage Roofing. It was not a job well done either. They sent four workers (3 men and 1 woman) to replace my roof. It was a very long day. They finished about 8:30pm. We had to turn on all the lights in my house to help them see better because it was totally dark after 7:30pm. The final clean up was messy. When I walked around our house the next day. there were shingles hanging on my trees, bushes and one shingle left on my roof. There were nails and trash left around my house. Also, one of my spring windows was scratched. I was at home the whole day. When they removed my old roof, they threw the trash anywhere around my house instead of one place or went directly into their truck (they didn't use a dump truck). I told Tim that I am going to post my review and share my story about my experience with Advantage Roofing. The interesting things was his file on BBB.org became not accessible on the day that I told him that I will post my review. His Google Review page is not functional, maybe it was disabled !! Advantage Roofing, Tim P. Mallory, speak beautifully about himself. But, they can not be trusted, and are not reliable. If you are looking for a roofing company, there are a pool of selections of GOOD companies in our local area. My new roof contractor did a great job. How is this company in business? I called them for a roof quote. The man they sent was a complete idiot! He arrived over an hour late for his SCHEDULED time, with no phone call. He then began to talk about my windows! I had called for a roof and attic insulation This fool (Jim) told me he would do the attic insulation himself after he did not GET INTO the attic! He made a bid by poking his head into the hatch! Jim then told me he would be giving me a quote for painting my deck, doing my windows, and that HE not his company that I had called, would be doing th work. He then told me I did not need a roof and that I should wit on doing it! He totally was stealing from his employer by trying to get me to hire him! UNBELIEVABLE! But it gets better (or worse) he left without giving me ANY bids at all, saying he would be mailing them back! When he then 2 weeks later, called me to talk over his quotes, I told him I was hiring another company and he went crazy! He began to slam them, telling me bad stories about the owner, their work and offering me numbers to call about the company to hear people trash them, I guess! He even went so far as calling me back, to give me another name to check! OMG... The company we hired was PROFESSIONAL, arrived on-time for their SCHEDULED appointment, got on the roof, got into the attic, prepared the quotes right then, explained them to us, and when we told them about Jim G and his comments, simply laughed them off and made a joke about people who gossip! The company we hired never asked who made the bad statements about them, and never tried to build themselves up at anyone else's expense. The company we hired did not require ANY money down, employees its own workers and is fully insured. Our attic is done now and WOW what a difference having the right insulation makes! This company replaced my roof 18 years ago and it is still in great condition! In fact, Tim said I am good for at least 5 more years! I mention this because today, they were out here installing new guards for my gutters they installed for me in 2015, so this is the third time I have used this trusted company. After the guards were installed, they showed me some pictures of what they looked like once installed, which included some leaves that had already fallen - the guards were already doing their job and we haven't even gotten into full Fall yet. I cannot sing the praises of this company loud or long enough. The dealings I have had with them have been of the highest standards and the most honest. I have not had a problem with the roof or gutters, and I can tell you when it does come time to replace my roof again (because we know I will eventually), I will be calling this company again, hands down. You would be very wise to use this company if you want 1000% satisfaction, a quality product, great workmanship, and honest dealings - they don't try to sell you something you don't need - only want you do need. Any time a friend or co-worker asks me if I know of someone who does roof repair, Advantage Roofing is the only company name I give out. The estimate was very complete with all of our questions answered, the delivery of materials were on time, the work crew was the BEST, the cleanup was spotless, the punch list walk through was well done, several payment methods/options available, and the warranty is second to none! I am so happy with my new roof! I choose the black dimensional style and it looks great on my grey-blue siding and black shutters home. Tim Mallory and his team really went over and above to help me to get the roof I really needed and fixed my chimney issue, as well as, make sure the gutters were attached correctly. I will definitely be going back to Advantage Roofing to install new gutters in the future. I was nervous about purchasing the roof, but Jonna and Emily really made me feel at ease and explained everything, from scheduling and follow-up after installation. Happy to leave the first review. My aging parents decided to finally get their roof fixed. We had a couple of contractors come out and look at it and they didn't even want to touch it. Advantage came out and worked with my father who is hard of hearing, I handled a lot of the conversation. I told them I expected them to take care of my dad and that's exactly what they did. Tim gave me a reasonable estimate to install new siding, gutters & gutter guards. He was very professional and didn't pressure me for doing the work. Mike the installer did a excellent job and he even had to take down a bird nest that was behind a vent that he was replacing and there was 3 baby birds in the nest so I built a bird house and i put the nest and 3 baby birds in the bird house and he installed it for me. Advantage did a great job. The estimate was very reasonable. They did the work two weeks after I chose the materials. They were finished in one day as promised after the crew worked 13 hours. They cleaned up before leaving. And they responded promptly to a slight issue with a loose board along the roofline.
