I was told by progressive to pay $241.00 to a link they sent to me and I can ask for a reimbursement. I have now asked for my reimbursement and it was brought to attention that I did not carry roadside assistance, which they could have told me when I called. As it turns out, the cost from the tow company was only $104.00. When speaking with Progressive they minimize the issue saying the person I called from the link on their app was an affiliate who takes their roadside claim calls. Of course the phone I called was Progressive, the credit charge of $241.00 was paid to Progressive. I question if any of this is legal, but certainly not ethical. Look elsewhere for your insurance needs. I know. I will.

So you will be charged for that until you find it on your statement 4 months later. Go to state farm. They havent raised my rates yet. Imagine my surprise when I saw the new charge of $75: after I paid for everything at once, they thought I should lose my auto pay discount even when the balance was $0 and no additional payments were required. I didn't notice that immediately, two weeks passed by and then I saw they put me back on installment payments and charged an additional $200 because I lost the discount for payment in full as well. They said, since I failed to pay that $75 charge for disenrollment from auto pay, I didn't pay my policy in full. Carmen Ramirez was my agent and she did a great job explaining how their system was crooked but did literally nothing to help me get back those two discounts. After a decade of loyalty, I am definitely switching to another insurance company, because this wasn't the only time I had issues with Allstate. Another time their fantastic system cancelled my auto insurance for no reason at all and it took me a month and zillion phone calls to get the things right. So, think twice before you do business with them!

They just ignored it, and yes, I confirmed through multiple long and difficult phone calls that I had the address correct. They also acted like they didn't know me, and had made no records of multiple (many multiple) calls from me regarding my parents insurance. It was utterly ridiculous. I had to upload my personal information, copies of my id, social security, etc. to deal with my parents insurance, not their financial accounts..... just insurance I needed to pay for them and now trying to cancel (since there is no more car or home). And still don't have this resolved.
