I called Bryan a couple weeks ago, based on the positive reviews here on Yelp. My rental home is in Oceanside, and I had a dog who scratched the window tint off my 10 foot sliding glass door. The tint was about 10 years old and it was a mess. It also wasn't very dark and the heat from the sun warmed the room. The phone number on Yelp for Advanced Solar Technologies is Bryan's cell phone, so to my surprise, Bryan answered the phone. Since I live in Oceanside, I didn't want him to make an extra trip to show me the different kinds of tint that he could put on my window. We determined that I would use a "Ceramic 35 tint" to block 65% of the light. A 10 foot window sliding glass door cost me $450 to re-tint with this extraordinary ceramic dark tint; other tints he offered were less expensive, but I wanted something that was crisp, and extraordinarily durable. That price included the materials and labor, driving to my house and spending hours scraping off the old tint, which is no easy task. I thought the price was so reasonable for top-of-the-line installation. I stayed at the house while Bryan spent a lot of time scraping off 80 ft.² of old tint. Then he showed me the tint from Germany that he was going to install. It was so much fun, watching him and learning about how he got into the business many years ago. Bryan is a true professional. He's a stickler for details. He knows what he's doing and he was very confident in every part of the install. He arrived at 11 and he left at 2 o'clock. My room is cooler now, the window is clear with no bubbles or streaks, and it looks like the window was made that way. The 10' sliding door is from 1979 and I have no plans on replacing now. When the next dog scratches this tint, I will be called Bryan again to replace whatever is needed, one side, or both sides. At least I know it will match and it will be done right. I hope that doesn't happen as he says this tint will last at least 10 to 15 years. What a small price to pay for a beautiful window that blocks the sun's rays. Bryan explained to me that when you choose a car tinting company and technician to do your home windows, the skill sets are not the same. You want to choose a window tinting company and professional who does exclusively houses. That's what you get when you hire Bryan to tint your commercial or residential building. He's been in the business a long, long time, knows every aspect of sales, manufacturing, and installation. He's a young guy about 45 years old who has a lot of energy, is well educated with a College Degree, and an excellent business owner centered on customer satisfaction. Been thinking of getting some privacy film for several windows at my house. I shopped around for tint companies and many were a combination of car and home tinting. Not to say that the companies that tint cars wouldn't do a good job of tinting your house windows but if given the choice, I would go with a company that only does houses. Just had a 7 windows in my house tinted and frosted today, on the 4th of July no less (pretty impressive that they work holidays). Had two French doors tinted then had a frost overlay on top of the tint (only a portion of it), a large window above and my double door front entrance, a tall long window next to front door and 3 windows in my office as well. Price was reasonable, service was good and the finished product looks good. If I didn't need to replace the windows in my house I would have more done but too many of the windows need replaced so I didn't tint but a few in the interim.
