After the medical assistant took her vital signs, she went into another room. I overheard her and others making remarks that made me feel they were making fun of me for bringing my infant in with those symptoms. As a new mother concerned about her baby's health, this was upsetting and left a lasting negative impression. I did not return to the office after that visit. The walls also seem very thin, so conversations can easily be overheard. I hope the office takes patient privacy and compassionate communication seriously.

Even though there are many pediatricians nationwide, it's not always easy to determine which doctor is truly suitable for your child's care. After reading many reviews, I knew I wanted to share my own experience and express my gratitude toward Dr. Miniskun. Dr. Miniskun is an amazing doctor. He has many patients and a very busy schedule, and it's important to understand that all relevant information is documented in the medical records and scanned into the system. It's unrealistic to expect any physician to remember every detail of a patient's background without reviewing the chart. When the file is open, he is thorough and attentive to the patient's medical history, illnesses, and conditions. Dr. Tal is also excellent. He focuses on current vitals and addresses whether your child is sick, ill, or coming in for a wellness check or physical. When he asks how your child is doing, he genuinely wants to hear the parents' observations so that any concerns can be discussed and appropriate treatment can be provided if necessary. I would like to commend the entire staff for doing a great job keeping appointments on track and providing parents with the necessary information. Like anyone else, I may have had a bad day in the past and been rude once to a receptionist, but what truly matters is making things right. Professionalism goes both ways. If someone ever feels differently about the office, it may be best for them to look elsewhere--but as for me, I am truly grateful. Dr. Miniskun is a great doctor, and I thank him for everything. We have seen Dr shah in the hospital and office and NP Nicole who are both very sweet. There is a bit of a wait to get in to see Dr. Carrie but she is definitely worth the wait. She is sunshine in human form, extremely knowledgeable and welcoming, and I feel like my baby is in good hands here. Since coming here I have realized that neighbors and my favorite nurse from work all take children here and I have since referred my work colleague as well. As a bonus this office is adorable and makes adults and children alone smile walking through the doors. Update: I want to give a special shout out to Suzetta, the referral/prior auth coordinator. She is extremely fast, has excellent and clear communication, and is on top of her stuff. Because of her we had an ultrasound on a Monday at 1 pm, stat referral placed later that afternoon once resulted, referral authorized by Tuesday morning, and we were in to see a specialist on Thursday. Her demeanor makes my son so comfortable that even during his stranger danger stage, he reaches out for her. She looks at the patient as a whole and her follow-up is impeccable. When we arrived, we were not greeted nor were we introduced to the medical team. Throughout the appointment, the medical assistant remained standing in the middle of the van while using her phone, which made it difficult for me to communicate with the provider because I frequently had to look around her to speak. I understand the van is small, but there are seats in the front to sit. I also left the appointment without knowing either of their names. I walked in the house telling my husband I don't know any of their names. I had to look at my child's forms to figure out the providers name. As someone who works in the medical field, I understand how important professionalism, communication, and making patients and families feel comfortable are. Unfortunately, the level of service and patient interaction we experienced did not meet my expectations. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as these small interactions can make a big difference in a family's experience.
