I then saw an orthopedic doctor, followed by 5 months of physical therapy and dry needling. I called Dr Reynolds on a Thursday and he was able to see me the next morning. I remember reading that he could see results in 2-3 visits and I was skeptical, but it was 3 visits. In the first visit I could tell a difference in range of motion and after 3 visits I had relief. Because my profession requires me to use the same patterns of movement I will probably need reoccurring work on my rotator cuff but I have been able to sleep through the night without my hands falling asleep. I have been able to increase my weight during my workouts and I have had little to no discomfort in my shoulder that I was experiencing pain in for almost 7 months. Dr Austin really knows what he is doing for sports injuries. I highly recommend.

Everyone here is absolutely amazing. They make you feel as though you are their only patient. And I did everything I was told and then some - - right up to putting a hospital bed in my living room and lying in it for six weeks with my foot completely elevated except for bathroom breaks. Long story short, when I went back yesterday (six weeks postop), Dr. Munroe just raved about my progress and how well I had healed. These people are amazing. He is an excellent surgeon! I had, as he put it after viewing my pre-op MRI results, "a very bad foot," so the fact that everything went as well as it did - - I even had to have a tendon release - - I can attribute not only to my compliance, but also to the fact that this place is out of this world! The doctors were very personable, and took their time to diagnose my problems. However, when the proposed treatment plan was presented, I was told I was expected to pay upfront for the entire treatment plan. In my case, $4,500! This charge was despite my insurance (double coverage) being able and willing to pay 80%, with me being responsible to pay 20%. I was fine with paying my portion, but apparently this was an unacceptable plan for these doctors. Dr. Hernandez mentioned that she did not think my insurance would cover the proposed treatments. In order to reassure their payment, I researched all medical codes involved (provided by Dr. Hernandez) in my treatment plan with my insurance company, and had a representative from my insurance company call to verify my coverage. It should be noted, the insurance company's first attempt to contact them was apparently missed. In regards to the second attempt, the insurance representative reassured me that a message was left. The insurance company also informed them on how the doctors should issue the billing in order to ensure their payment. I performed this added step in order assist them, as they do not have a designated Biller to handle their billing and coding for procedures. Despite multiple (5+) calls from myself and the insurance company, both leaving messages and speaking to their front desk personnel to coordinate the scheduling of my treatment plan. I was told by the front desk personnel my messages would be delivered to the doctor, and they would contact me. They never returned any calls or otherwise communicated with me. I am uncertain for their disassociation with me, but it appears that anything less than 100% upfront payment is considered unacceptable.
