Let me start with the good. Maria at the front desk is wonderful, she is very sweet, helpful and the ONLY good thing about this office.
I had an IUD put in, the strings were never trimmed and after the discomfort was brought to the doctors attention i was told that it was placed correctly and the discomfort i had would go away. it never did, several months (and a new doctor later) i was told that the strings were way too long and have since been trimmed leaving no more discomfort. Also, when this was initially put in i had questions but the doctor ran out of the room so fast i didnt have a chance to ask any. I will say that she did address my concerns fairly quickly after i emailed her.
I had an appointment on a monday, the friday before, i received a call from the office telling me that because i hadnt met my deductible i would need to pay $400 in order to be seen. I asked if they could bill me since i wouldnt be able to get the $400 by monday morning, she said no and cancelled my appointment. The appointment was finally rescheduled after being told by someone in the office that i could be billed instead of paying up front. The day of the appointment finally arrives and i leave work early to get there. Once i arrive i am turned away because i dont have $400. Needless to say i was upset and wanted my medical records sent to another doctor. I wasnt going back.
I received a call from Pam (the office manager), she started off nice but quickly showed her true colors, not only is she a liar but she is also rude. She said that i was called and told (via voicemail) that i had to pay the $400, i still have the vm saved by the way and all that i was told was that they were confirming my appointment. She kept telling me that i was wrong "we have call logs and it shows you were told about the money" LIES! she then tells me that its VERY IMPORTANT that i come in for the follow up because my breast biopsy was abnormal the last time and needs to be checked out. IVE NEVER HAD A MAMMOGRAM, LET ALONE A BIOPSY! i told her this and she tried to argue with me that i did. I told her i would remember "its in your chart" she said. After arguing with her she said she would look in to it "but we document everything and if its in your chart it must be correct". She calls me back a few hours later "funny thing, as soon as we hung up the nurse called me and told me that she accidently put something in your chart but deleted it immediately. i mustve seen it before it was deleted, its so funny that the nurse called me and told me this before i even had a chance to ask her about it". What a coincidence! Makes me wonder, what else was wrong in my chart? who is this poor woman who is walking around with this abnormal thing in her breast that isnt being followed up on?
Finally, after requesting my records several times i got a call from maria saying i can get all my records via the portal so that i wouldnt have to pay, this was followed by a call from Pam telling me that the records on the portal were not what i was going to need as they were not the complete file. LIES. Fine, i paid the $50 (for 5 sheets of paper) only to come to find that what i was given WAS everything on the portal, after all the crap i went through with these people the $50 should have been waived.
Be aware when going to this place. Never again! read more
