Doctor Elmer and his team are very professional and have helped me walk better than I used to. It's amazing!

This is common practice. Oh well.... here's my experience with Las Vegas Neurology Center. I was referred here and calling to make an appointment can be challenging. No one picks up the phone however, if you leave a message they do call you back so leave the message and follow up if you don't get a response. Parking in the facility can be challenging but there's a lot of parking. You just need to walk a little farther. They are located on the 3rd floor so make sure you remember which unit you need to go to. My interaction with the staff has been good. Not the best but good. There was a little hiccup on my last visit. I checked in with the front desk staff then sat down and waited. My appointment time came and went then I get a call at 8:48 am and a young man from the office was asking if I was going to make it to my appointment at 8:45 am. I giggled and said what do you mean, I'm in the waiting room waiting, are you coming to get me? He said yes so I continued to wait. Apparently, something was not checked on my check in process that alerted the workers that I was waiting. Something like that but he said they got it all worked out. YAY! Chantel APRN came into my room and started to go over my report. She was so kind and her bedside manner was awesome. She went over everything I needed and explained it to me thorougly in layman's term. I was very happy and pleased with my interaction with her. She is definitely an asset and gets 5 STARS from me. Overall, great experience with Chantel but they do need to work on answering the phones with incoming calls or have dedicated people to do this task. I will not take away anything from them working hard as that is what I saw. When I was checking out I kinda whispered and it was funny that all the girls turned to look at me. LOL, I said oh, you guys got good ears and using office soft voices.

Unfortunately,…read moreI never had the opportunity to meet the doctor because of a very disappointing experience with the front desk. At first, the lady at the front desk was very nice and friendly. She called me about a cancellation and offered me an earlier appointment. She took my information and sent me the necessary forms. A few hours later, she called back to CANCEL my appointment. She explained that she had contacted my insurance company and was told that I had a POS plan instead of a PPO. She also said the doctor was found in the in-network provider. I explained that I had a PPO plan, but she asked me to contact my insurance company and call her back with a representative. It took me only five minutes to reach my insurance company. I arranged a three-way call, and the insurance representative confirmed that I did have a PPO plan. We also confirmed that the doctor was out of network. I completely understood that seeing an out-of-network doctor could cost more, and I was willing to discuss my options. At the end of the call, I told her, "You never explained that the doctor was out of network. I would have understood that." I then said, "Well, I guess I will need to find another doctor." Her response was, "It's better that you find another doctor," and she immediately hung up the phone. I found her response very rude and unprofessional. I was simply trying to understand my insurance coverage. She never asked whether I was willing to pay the additional cost before canceling my appointment. What bothered me even more was how she treated me. English is not my first language, and I have an accent. I cannot say whether that influenced her behavior, but I was left feeling that she had made assumptions about me and my ability to pay. Having an accent does not mean someone cannot understand insurance or afford medical care. Everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and respect. I cannot comment on the doctor's medical care because I never had the opportunity to meet them. My review is only about my experience with the front desk. I hope the doctor and office management take this feedback seriously. A little patience, better communication, and simple courtesy would have made a big difference. No patient should be treated this way, especially when they are simply trying to schedule an appointment.

Garber office mistakenly sent the wrong info. Ok fine, we are all human we make mistakes. But his office eventually ghosted me. I ended up reaching out to Cedar Sinai hospital in Cali via their Second Opinion Program. A surgeon (Dr. Tiffany G Perry) called me from her personal cell phone freaking out and said I am in danger and need emergency surgery ASAP. I reached out to Garber office via text message and told them what I was told. Silence. Thankfully, I was able to get in 3 days later from Vegas. I'm so upset about how close to danger I was but was ghosted. Also- I waited hours to see him in the waiting room only to see him for 5 minutes during both appointments we had. His appointments are rushed. BTW, the surgery performed at Cedar Sinai was a major success and I am beyond thankful.

We arrived on time for our 1:00 PM appointment. Because there were many patients, we waited in the front for a while, which we understood. Later, we were taken to the room, and the assistant kindly recorded all of our symptoms and information. She told us the doctor would be in shortly. However, we then waited in the room for nearly 30 minutes. I went outside and asked the receptionist when the doctor would come in, and she said "soon." After another 10-15 minutes passed with no one coming, we were becoming very frustrated and were ready to leave because we had to pick up our child at 2:30. Eventually, the doctor and assistant came in. During the visit, the doctor asked, "Are you very angry at me?" but his attitude the entire time still felt very cold and superior. Before leaving, I asked one final question. After answering, he glanced at my husband, who was covering his face with his hand because he suffers from chronic migraines. The doctor completely misread his expression, said nothing, and simply walked out of the room. After seeing many doctors over the years, this was by far the least compassionate and least understanding physician we have ever encountered.
