I saw one dining fixture that I really liked but it would be way too big for the dining room. Otherwise, not much else I wanted in that Departme t. I did see one light that is really beautiful. It comes in two sizes so I Will probably buy it in each size. One for a bathroom and the smaller one for the guest bathroom. I was told for returns there is a 30% restocking fee if you do not choose something else. I was also told they always have a 40% off sale. That was surprising. I have always wanted to visit the Enchanted Place of North Miami and tonight I finally did. They are open every night through December from 7 to 10 PM. Christmas light displays come and go but this one has been going strong for 36 years since it was founded in 1988 by Ken Digenova. The experience is free but they do collect donations for charity. You can drive through the decorated street in your car and turn around in the dead end of the cul-de-sac and head back out the street or walk through as I did. Note that the traffic gets quite backed up and you could be waiting awhile if you decide to drive. About a block away I found an abandoned house for sale and was able to park on the swale. This allowed me to get in and out quickly. This light display is simply magical. The real draw is all of the lights hanging overhead in the trees transporting you to a happy place. Thank you to the Enchanted Place of North Miami for bringing the community together year after year. Stop by if you can and share the joy with your family.

Again, the lights were nice enough to walk for. The drive, not so much as the lights are hard to see as inching behind the car ahead of you. I highly recommend parking and walking. It's much more enjoyable!

And, in doing it the installer was on time, polite, cleaned up the mess, personable, etc. The price bid by "My Electrical Genie" was offered right away - they were the first to respond to my listing. And they responded with a price. Others didn't respond with a price even though my project was very specific, simple, and with pictures! The price was good in my opinion and notably far below the rip-off price proposed by another. I thought that getting the low price meant I wouldn't get the best of options for the install. I figured the "swag" wire coming from over the door sill would have to remain. But he got the wire hidden above the ceiling with just one hole that he patched up perfectly! I figured I'd have to repaint the ceiling, but he said, "Maybe not." It dried perfectly white like the rest of my ceiling! I don't have to repaint. I can't see where the hole he made was! I've owned my home for over two decades, and this has been the best project ever.
