And, in doing it the installer was on time, polite, cleaned up the mess, personable, etc. The price bid by "My Electrical Genie" was offered right away - they were the first to respond to my listing. And they responded with a price. Others didn't respond with a price even though my project was very specific, simple, and with pictures! The price was good in my opinion and notably far below the rip-off price proposed by another. I thought that getting the low price meant I wouldn't get the best of options for the install. I figured the "swag" wire coming from over the door sill would have to remain. But he got the wire hidden above the ceiling with just one hole that he patched up perfectly! I figured I'd have to repaint the ceiling, but he said, "Maybe not." It dried perfectly white like the rest of my ceiling! I don't have to repaint. I can't see where the hole he made was! I've owned my home for over two decades, and this has been the best project ever.

They worked with my travel schedule and put in underground electrical run from generator to house when I was away and came to do inside work, as needed, while I was home. While we are still waiting for a final/final approval from City[they changed the requirements for the transfer switch at the last minute] the generator and all inside electrical work[ATS, etc] was completed and installation runs[well] since August 2022. We have had one outage and it started up & ran well for 1-2 hours. Shut itself off when power came back! Main thing that differs them from others I asked for quotes is that they do the whole job[survey/permits/electrical/etc.], so you do not have to hire a surveyor & electrician as many other companies I called would require - it makes a big difference, in my opinion. Also, while it has been eight months since generator is operational, they have not pushed for any payment[last 25% is due after final City approval]. Their electricians[& their employees - no outside contractor] were excellent and they were able to work with power live without requiring/waiting for FPL for a disconnect & reconnect[saves time!]. I have recommended them to two neighbors whose installation should be quicker as they are using standard propane units with lower capacity, etc. From what I understand, Generator SuperCenter of Florida is one of the top two Generac dealers in the USA and they do carry inventory of typical units used by most residences. I have owned many generators before on boats[one had two 30KW units], so I am familiar with them - I have looked/inspected Generac unit once it arrived and while it runs - I'm impressed with design/installation, etc. My diesel unit uses a Mitsubishi engine w/ turbo connected to a quality brand generator, etc., so far, so good!

They told us they would be here sometime between noon and 4pm. So we stayed home and waited for him. At 4pm, we had not heard from them. So my husband had to call them and the guy said he was still in Davie on another job. He said he would reschedule for today (thursday) and said he would be here at 11 am. At 11:20, there was still no word from him. So once again, my husband had to take the initiative and call the guy to find out what was going on. He did several projects around my home, including removal of existing kitchen lighting, installation of new high hats in the kitchen, installation of several GFI outlets in the kitchen and bathroom, and installation of a new ceiling fan on our balcony. When he arrived the first day at the scheduled time, he was without his helper, who called out (it was a holiday weekend!), so we rescheduled. As a gift for the inconvenience, the next day he replaced an old high hat with a new LED and swapped out old dimmers switches with new. His prices are reasonable and, although the jobs took longer than he expected, he still charged me the quoted price. He returned a couple times, once to replace a bulb he broke in the attic and to replace our TV, which he accidentally scratched. The scratch was so minor, I almost felt guilty accepting a brand-new TV, but I was so impressed that he copped to it immediately and made it right. You almost come to expect workers in your home to make a mess and not clean up, but he really went the extra mile to ensure we were satisfied with everything. The last job he did was replace a light kit in a ceiling fan in my office. It wasn't working right. For months it was hit or miss whether it would stay on. He spent hours pulling it apart trying to figure out what was wrong with it, which he finally determined it was a defective safety mechanism, which once removed solved the problem. He advised against using the light without it. I bought a new light kit and he returned to install it. He only charged me for the install. He didn't charge me for all the time he spent diagnosing the problem, which I really appreciated! I would definitely use him again.

Brian clearly explained what was going on and confirmed that nothing in my house was causing the issue. He was professional, calm, and clearly very knowledgeable.
