I'm super happy I did, my face was instantly brighter and smoother. I was able to get an appointment right away. As they do not have online scheduling, I called to request. The receptionist was incredibly helpful and kind in helping me schedule and answering any questions that I had. When going in- this place looks like a doctors office, so I was a little confused if I should tip or not. Thankfully the receptionist guided (probably because I looked like a lost baby animal) and asked if I wanted to leave gratuity. In short- This place is great. The attitude is very bad, they never admit their mistakes and they blame the customers. I paid for three treatments, but my second treatment appointment was canceled for no reason. I had left a message to confirm it a few days before going. As a result, the appointment day was cancelled. They told me I was mistaken and I only had 2. They sent me a copy of my invoice all scribbled out with red pen. It was clear they were just trying to scam me. I purchased a package for 3 tattoo laser removals. My initial appointment was ok however when I returned for my 2nd session which was scheduled exactly 6 wks later, I was told by the receptionist I did not have an appt. She then looked in the system and said I never scheduled an appointment. She asked to see my appt card so I had someone at home send it to me clearly showing the date however she stated it says 11/19, (ironic that suddenly then I had an appointment when she said there was no record of me making one). You can clearly see the difference between a 7 and 9 as they are clearly distinguishable especially since there is a 9 underneath it stating the time. I've attached the image which clearly shows the date of 11/17. Instead of owning her mistake, she tried telling me that my appointment was over the weekend when I know I had a weekday appointment. People make mistakes but it says a lot about a business when they are unable to own up to their mistake. I purchased a groupon for 2 skin tightening treatments which took one month to get an appointment. The day of my appointment finally comes and i drive an hour and a half to get there. I arrive early and sit in the waiting room for approximately 40 minutes. I get sent to the back room to get my procedure done and the aesthetician comes in the room with an attitude right off the bat. She begins to tell me that the procedure wont work on me because i'm a male (I do not believe this but thats neither here nor there) My problem with me being a male is that when I called and talked to them the three times I did during the month wait, why didnt they tell me I wasn't eligible for the treatment? I obviously sound like a man over the phone. Why did they make me wait for 40 minutes and sign releases and consents for THAT PROCEDURE?! Anyways, the rude aesthetician begins to tell me theres another laser treatment I could do today that would be about 200 dollars more than my groupon. The aesthetician then proceeds to tell me that I "watch too much kardashians" and am worried too much about the way I look. What these people fail to realize is that their whole business is based on people worried about how they look. These people know what they were doing from the second I called and made my appointment. Instead of being HONEST with me from the start they instead lured me through their doors and tried to get me to do a more expensive procedure. I left advanced laser clinics truly embarrassed. Men should be able to take care of themselves and take preventive measures on their face. Take my word for it, please. No joke, this is a legit review for the Oak Brook location. I'm not a jealous rivalry spa owner. I work with cars all day, totally nothing spa related. I purchased a Groupon and like another poster had to wait 3 weeks to get in. They really have crappy hours, so beware. I scheduled all 4 of my appointments at the same time. I showed up for the first appointment but there was no record of me having one and they were totally booked. They found the other three I made at the exact same time. I asked who specifically made the appointment on the phone with me and she said she had no idea. Then she told me they NEVER make mistakes. When I made the appointments I was told they had to be 4 weeks apart. Now in the hustle of trying to squeeze me in somewhere it's perfectly acceptable to have chemical peels two weeks apart? Hmmmmm. This was a Saturday. I asked to speak with a manager and I was told by the front desk girl that "Jackie" would be in on Tuesday. I called Tuesday and asked for Jackie. Guess what? It's the same girl!! Either she was lying and was going to pretend she was the manager or .... Um, I have no idea!!! Who does that?! Then she tells me that she is Jacquelyn and the other person is Jackie. Now I'm even more confused. So dishonest! She proceeds to tell me that they have really great reviews (have you seen yelp?) and I should still come in for my treatments. She also said that all of these reviews are lies and they were meeting with a rep from yelp to get them deleted. They were supposed to be deleted today yet they're still here. And yelp doesn't delete reviews! More lies from Jackie! Shocker. She also wanted to see my Groupon while I was making the appointment. I showed it to her and she redeemed all 4 so she could be paid from Groupon. I didn't even use it yet! When I confronted her about yet another dishonest practice she couldn't care less and told me that it's just their policy to do that. Luckily I was able to report them to Groupon and get a refund. There is no way that I could trust them doing a chemical peel on my face when they were so dishonest about things that were insignificant. Don't waste your time here!! read more

BEWARE! This company has been at two other locations, before they filed for bankruptcy and packed up and left with all their clients' money! They sell sell sell, make you pay big money up front for your "package" and give you a warranty they will never be able to fulfill. Once they have all the money, they quietly close and one day you show up or call and they're GONE! This place was really great when El (a laser technician was there). She was doing a great job by fighting every single unwanted hair. However, about a month ago El took another job and they hired a new technician, Rachel. What a disaster!! You feel a difference right away. If I knew that this will happen I would never buy 6 laser hair removal treatments from this place. The new technician, Rachel, does not take the job seriously at all and she is not going to fight with your unwanted hair. Instead she is trying to push you for more treatments by telling you that 6 treatments are definitely not enough. She wants you to keep coming all the time for more treatments and get more money out of you. With El, the procedure laser hair removal procedure usually took 30-40 minutes, but Rachel does it within 10 minutes. No need to say that she hardly goes over all the places in the area where you have hair. read more

Waited 30 min to be treated for my facial I purchased through Groupon. I ended up having my treatment by another employee who offered to help. I had to have my treatment process fully clothed, with normal indoor lighting, and no music. Multiple cold wet towels were placed on my face throughout. I assumed I was not in the typical treatment room for the facial. Afterwards staff was unconcerned with how the appointment went which made me feel they were uninterested in repeat clients. This was my third time at Advanced Laser Clinics and I have nothing bad to say about the technician. The front desk was very rude to me when she could not find the paperwork of me prepaying from my last appointment. She insisted that she records everything and did not make a mistake and wouldn't budge to help me figure the matter out. I had to pay right there and she told me when I find a receipt she will refund me. I stood at the front desk and went through my transactions all the way back to December 2018. I also don't understand how this day and age they don't have a computer recording everything. I found the transaction from December and May and she refunded my money. Not once did she apologize. She just acted as if I was in the wrong the entire time. If I received an apology I would have felt better but the fact she didn't says a whole lot. And now I have to wait days for my refund. I wanted hair removed from my chin. Basically it was only on the two sides. I had a groupon for 6 sessions. I was told that the six sessions would get most if not all of the hair. The technician did inform me that she would not be able to do the full power because of my dark complexion . I asked her if six treatments would be enough. She stated that she thought so. My last treatment was in July. By the end of August I have the same amount of hair as when I started. They weren't any finer or less. I called and told them they were back and she said I need to come in for more sessions, I will not return. I feel as though, I was brought in with the groupon so they can charge me the regular prices for six more sessions. I was not satisfied with results. I purchased a Groupon for 6 underarm laser hair removal sessions. My first 3 sessions went very well. When I arrived for my 4th session, I was told the previous technician had left and my service would be done by a new person. It was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. I had the girl stop several times because it hurt so badly. I kept asking if the settings were too high because my previous treatments barely hurt. She said no but could not explain why this one was so different. I had marks in every spot where the laser touched my skin and several burns. Many of the burns blistered and left my underarms discolored. When I called the clinic, I was told that they could do a series of microderms or give me a cream to fix the problem. No one ever apologized or took responsibility for my botched treatment. At the recommendation of another Advanced Laser Clinic client that had a similar experience, I contacted Groupon and explained what happened. Within 48 hours, they refunded my money. If you are looking to have laser hair removal, do not go here. Do your research and go to a more reputable place. read more

I started my IPL (laser treatment) in June and it has been the best purchase/choice I could've made! I've always been a "sun worshiper". Grew up on a lake, traveled to warm places, and at the age of 28, it has already caught up to me. The laser treatment took years off my skin. Removed dark spots, freckles, acne marks, blemishes I hadn't even known where there. I am in the process of doing three treatments and look forward to every appointment. The ladies that do the treatment are so professional and really make you feel comfortable. I was embarrassed to be not even 30 and have enjoyed the sun so much but they made me feel comfortable and at peace. The office is easy to find, very clean, and they do a wonderful job!! It's so quick with no recovery time! Pop and ibuprofen, and bring some aloe vera gel, and you'll be fine the next morning. My freckles and blemishes literally flaked off and I could notice a dramatic difference within less than a week. I am so glad I chose to go with this center and procedure! read more

I was super excited to go down the LHR road. After much consideration and shopping around I decided to go with Advanced Laser Clinics due to their superb reputation (unfortunately, I had not checked Yelp - rookie mistake). While the actual laser was fine (mostly) the pricing and customer service leave much to be desired. There was literally no consultation ahead of time. They did not ask to see my bikini area ahead of time to ensure my hair type was appropriate for the treatments. I'm sure my hair was good thanks to my extensive research so that did not affect me but people out there could be deceptive because they think they know better and that can be dangerous. Also, I was told ahead of time that they always have disposable razors available but when I got there and realized there were a few hairs that I had missed shaving that morning they were out of razors. Subsequently the pain around those hairs was off the charts and the treatment did not make a difference there as it had in the rest of the area. In addition to those things the office hours are not very accommodating. Monday through Friday 7-4 or something. I have a pretty strict work from home job so I intentionally set a 7:30 am appointment. They had said it would take about 40 minutes and I even arrived about 1-20 minutes early so that I could fill out paperwork and take care of any misc things that needed to be done. After being about 30 minutes late a patient walked out of the office to check out. She decided on the spot to do another treatment (chin laser or something) and rather than scheduling her for another time they allowed her to go back in the room and do it right then. It was about another 10-15 minutes before they finished up with her and I was finally able to get started. I wound up being over an hour late getting back to my home for work as I had to fight through rush hour traffic that would not have been there had they been on time. I ended up with a written warning because of this. A few days after the fact I tried calling the office to let them know I would not be returning and try to work out paying for only that treatment rather than the six and they didn't even bother to call me back. So they took and cashed my check for over 800$ (one of three payments to cover all six sessions - there were no deals or groupons at that time) and now just called me to schedule another appointment. This is disappointing because overall the initial results were promising and if they would these ridiculous issues sorted it would be a truly wonderful business. But this is highway robbery for crappy customer service and people who are only concerned about getting you out the door. read more

In 20 years of getting microdermabrasions, I have always been told the face/neck are done together and I have never had anyone unbundle them or made me pay extra. Surprise, surprise, that ALC refused to do my neck, saying I had to pay for it, even though the face/neck are ALWAYS considered one treatment. NO wonder it has to advertise on Groupon! Consumer beware. If you want a reputable, safe and doctor monitored clinic, this is not the place for you. I was there for a IPL treatment -i purchased a series of 3 to begin with. I asked if there was a doctor on the premise and was told that the doctor does not always come in and thus was not ther on that day. The treatment was painful and i kept trying to tell the girl treating me but she insisted that was part of the process. I was red and flaky when done and for the next 2 weeks, i had the worst blistering on my face, i actually had to get treated by a dermatologist. I made several follow up calls to get my money back and no shock, I was met with complete resistance from the office staff and the supposed manager of the clinic. NEVER was allowed to speak to yhe doctor. I cut my loses and decided to forego the $1000. A big price to pay for an experience that almost damaged my skin permanently. DO NOT go here if you care about your skin, please see a dermatologist or at least visit a medical spa that has doctors on premise. I purchased a groupon for the pixel treatment and I can't believe the difference in my face 1 week (literally 7 days) later. The first day (12 hours) was a little painful, felt like a sunburn and looked like it too. The next several days my face was splotchy reddish and dry but was able to wear makeup to cover it. My experience was good and I would totally recommend this treatment. The office was clean and I waited, literally, 2 minutes. I am 45 and my concerns were age spots, big pores, and just overall uneven tone and blah skin. Tracy told me that the full effects wouldn't show up for 6 months because this treatment stimulates collagen production but it takes time for the skin to produce it. (something to that effect) Anyway, my pores are already way smaller, my skin tone is greatly improved, the red nastiness on the sides of my nose is diminished ALL in 7 days. (Plus, its going to get better!) I also have oily (shiny) skin and have noticed that it is not as oily and shiny now. This wasn't even an advantage listed or explained to me but I will take it. So happy. Now, to be fair, I was a little mad that I had to wait 3 weeks for my appointment but after these results. I don't care.
