Manny was so helpful in arranging a trainer that was local to me. Leo and his family were amazing! I felt so much more at ease knowing my pups were actually in a home and not isolated in a commercial kennel setting. My dogs came home with the same exhuberance, but so much more calm on a leash and in public settings. Recently took my girl to our local airport for a training test run. Because of the Dawgz & Stripe training and my home follow-up, Jelly Bean did an amazing job with all sorts of new situations including sliding doors, people and car traffic, even riding a bus! Leo will be picking up my newest pup, 6 mos., in a few days and I know he will do an amazing job with her too. I interviewed nearly 10 dog training companies/individuals before deciding on Dawgz & Stripes. They are a little more expensive than some competitors but worth every penny. Their compassion and attention to their customers is above and beyond. I highly recommend Dawgz & Stripes! One extra note: My big boy, Peanut Butter, died of sudden cardiac arrest while at training. Frank, Manny, and Leo were so attentive and compasionate during this sudden episode. They paid for all of Peanut's medical bills, necropsy, and creamation costs. There is nothing any of us could have done or known about his heart failure. The compassion and care they provided me throughout this event was exemplary. They continued to train my other two Boxers after this event and they both came home as incredibly well behaved dogs. I cannot thank Frank, Manny, and Leo enough for taking care of me and my grief and loss after losing Peanut Butter. They were kind, compassionate, respectful, and generous in helping me to deal with the loss. In the aftermath, my other two Boxers came home so well trained and I have continued to work with them on all the manners they learned with Dawgz & Stripes. My new 7 month old Boxer puppy will be joining Leo in two weeks for her training at the end of March. I have so much confidence in Dawgz & Stripes. I will never hesitate to entrust any of my dogs to their care and training. Leo and his family are the best!

He was not like this prior to his training. At the end of our 3 week period, Kristi called and said she wanted 3 more days because she was "sick" with a cough. We said we wanted our dog back and declined the extra 3 days. When our dog came home, Kristi could not demonstrate what he had learned only told us what WE needed to do. We believe our dog was abused. I asked "Frank" the owner of Dawgz and Stripes to refund half our money and he promptly denied because of our contract. Please please do not use this company. After 4 weeks of a board and train program with Lisa, we were left wondering why we did not get our dog trained with her sooner! Not only did Lisa help address the problematic barking, which was our primary goal. She also crate-trained him (necessary for doggos who are doing the board and train), taught him how to be a good loose-leash walker, significantly improved his recall, and how to heel/sit/down in place when asked. We cannot…read moreexpress enough how grateful we are to have found such caring and dedicated trainers for our very anxious doggie, Squirty! When we first rescued Squirty, the shelter told us he came from an abusive home and therefore was very timid and afraid of essentially everything. We knew we would have a lot to work on, but his sweetness and gentle disposition won us over. In the 2.5 years that we had him, he made a lot of progress on becoming more trusting and less fearful in our home. However, getting him outdoors was still a battle. Every little outdoor noise scared him and he would use all his strength pulling on the leash to find a hiding spot or get back inside the house. Every walk attempt was a dreaded struggle and I'll admit we began to put in less work in making him go outside to walk. To make things worse, our already big boy (pitbull) started gaining more weight from the lack of exercise and our lax food/treat giving. We saw that he was starting to become more lazy and that this was leading to an unhealthy and unfulfilling life for squirty, and a change needed to be made! We took the leap to seek out professional help, and thank god we found just what we were looking for in Kristin and Manny! Right from the start they very responsive and thorough in answering our questions and walking us through the different types of programs they had. We ended up going with the Modified Board & Train 6 week program, and we are so happy we chose this one over the less intensive options! This gave Squirty 3 whole days of weekly training and bonding time with Kristin and Manny. The pickup and drop off service was so convenient and Squirty was noticeably more eager to go to school and see his trainers each week. The amount of patience, compassion, and dedication that Kristin and Manny gave Squirty was clear from the very first week of training. Our big boy was a tough case and had so much fear to work through, but they took their time with him and always came up with solutions that kept him progressing and reaching new milestones. They not only educated and built Squirty's confidence, but ours as well! We learned so much from them on our end of week sessions and we felt so supported on our training journey the whole way through. By the end of the 6 week program, Squirty had lost 10lbs, responded to a whole list of commands, and was now going on mile+ walks! He's now so much more energetic and willing to explore the outdoors. My family and I are forever grateful to Kristin and Manny for helping us implement this change and for creating a new hopeful and healthy future for Squirty! We highly recommend MTM K-9 to anyone else who is struggling with their fur baby! You won't be disappointed!
