::: Rescue seekers beware :::…read more I got the number of this "rescue" online because I was looking for a small dog I then called them and was told that they have over 60 dogs, and that you should come by to find one. A couple days later I came by with my daughter, and picked one. And was told that they would let me know when she was ready. - we left and we hadn't yet discussed any money. I also never filled out an application, and was never even told about their website. A few days later, after finding out they would be okay to get a dog, I text them and let them know. I was then told that I could not pick her up yet. When she was ready, I drove back up to the shelter, and picture up along with many goodies for her. The customer service was excellent. :: I then asked what the fee was, and she said $300 :: Notice that I left with the dog, without filling on the application or visiting their website, nor had I even been told that it was non-refundable. After having the dog for a few days, she was suffering from extreme separation anxiety, and after getting complaints from the manager of my building, I said I'm going to return her. Upon my arrival, after dropping everything off, I looked at Maria and said "So can I get a refund? Things didn't work out"... This was the first time hearing that the fee was not refundable, and their reasoning was their non-profit, which again is news to me. But Maria told me that she doesn't deal with the money, and to text that number. After going back and forth with the person via text, I let her know that I'd have to escalate this, because of the reason stated above. I then then had to file a police report and will have to go to civil court. This is my long-winded way of telling potential rescue parents that make sure to read all the fine print. The person that I was texting did not do things by the book, and I think she knows that. So make sure you cover all your bases, and understand that you cannot get a refund, only switch it out for a different dog. And most importantly, choose your dog wisely. Since there's so many dogs, there's no way for them to know the temperament of each of the dogs. When I brought mine home, it completely changed when I left the house. Just being there likely causes trauma to those dogs, and there's many animals in each kennel.

Dena and Tara were both professional, Tara did a home inspection to make sure my fencing around the yard was solid and a dog couldn't escape! We passed with flying colors and met our special needs girl named Matty yesterday. All animals including the cats are totally happy, no drama. She slept in the big bed last night and loved sleeping under the blankets with her new sister Beanie. I'm in love, appreciate the time that Dena and Tara took to make sure we had a good fit. I immediately filled out the application which is detailed from the long list of questions, photos and video of the home Adopting from Royce is a rigorous process . She wants to make absolutely sure the adoption is a good fit. I have two other lap dogs with one being a little possessive of me. Royce and her sister drove Macy to our home to meet our dogs . They stayed for a long time to watch the behavior of the three dogs and also taught me how dogs " size each other up " In the end we passed with flying colors and could not be happier with our new girl Macy Thank you Angels and Paws and most of all for Royce and all the unsung heroes who sacrifice so the unwanted dogs can once again find a place they can call home

Submitted the application paperwork, gave Sara a call and she was very responsive and wonderful. She answered all my questions. We drove to meet up with Sara and Kiki and fell in love with her! Sara also gave us all the medical records and paperwork, very comprehensive. Kiki is getting along very well with our other pug and it has been a joy to be a pug mommy of 2!

When she has responded she is nasty and blames me for the stepping up to foster. The dog is still in my care because she hasnt done anything to help.
