Caution - dishonest business. I ordered a sofa then changed my mind and called to cancel the same day. They rudely told me that the item was already shipped from a warehouse and there is nothing they can do. When I asked them for tracking info they told me they didn't have it. I got tracking info after two or three days when the sofa was actually shipped. I regret dealing with them. read more

Order a swivel chair in Nov. which was out of stock and was informed by Robert it would be back in stock in mid Dec. Received a call from him stating the chair was back in stock and would be shipped same day after some updated information. Robert was true to his word and I received my chair today and I love it. My wife and I had great experiences here, and highly recommend AID. We bought a nelson bench replica that AID advertised on craigslist for less than a third of the price of a licensed product. The bench was an incredible value, although don't expect the fit and finish to be the same as design with reach [of millionaires]. For instance, one of the bolts that attach the legs to the slats didn't line up with its hole. There are also some odd manufacturing quirks, which is probably why the bench was on super sale; there is a slight, curved indentation in the wood of one of the legs, some nail heads protrude slight between the slats, etc. None of these issues are deal breakers for us. We care more about function than finish, so we are very pleased with our purchase. I also kind of hate this hipster fixation on buying 'authentic' (translation: licensed) over-priced pieces, even when people like the Eameses wanted 'the best for the most for the least.' I think AID demonstrates this ethos far more than DWR or herman miller. The front office of the warehouse were very pleasant and helpful when we arrived. The warehouse guys allowed us to examine the bench (it comes flat-packed like Ikea), and they were very helpful in loading our car. read more

I bookmarked the store's website to buy some furniture that is listed as in stock and ready to ship. Very excited as we are moving to an unfurnished place and need it furnished quickly. I waited to order as I didn't want the furniture arriving before we did. When I called to check how long delivery would take (not too fast please!), I was informed that the furniture I wanted was actually not in stock and they have no current plans to restock. When I pointed out that the website was inaccurate, they hung up on me. I could have ordered similar items a month ago from other websites that are accurate about their lead times. read more

It may be an internet seller, but the show room in San Francisco is a joke. Went to the showroom and it really did not worth the time. The guy was not helpful and he only cared about his web surfing. We were looking for a chair but they did not have it in the show room and the guy was like saying they mostly sell on internet and so don't bother him with my questions. Well, if I want to buy the chair without really seeing it and touching the leather, I would buy from other internet stores which are cheaper than them. read more

Advanced Interior Designs is great. We purchased an oval Saarinen table, and 6 clear ghost chairs from them. The quality is very nice - durable, and very good-looking. They were a pleasure to work with - very customer-oriented. They showed up on time for the delivery, they helped install the product, and they picked up two chairs that we needed to return as we changed color choices. Stay away from this one. Misrepresented chairs as executive office chairs. The chairs would not raise high enough to use at a standard desk. The allowed return but after paying a restocking fee and shipping i might as well thrown them in the trash. read more
