I was dealing with some blurriness in my right eye, and Dr. Ryu allowed me to come back twice so he could take the time to thoroughly analyze what was going on. He spent a significant amount of time with me, explaining everything in a way that I could understand and making sure I had the proper prescription moving forward. The office is clean, organized, professional and the entire staff is incredibly welcoming. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Highly recommend Summit Optometry and Dr. Ryu!

Out of everyone, the phone call I had with this place was so sweet and kind. This was my first visit here, and I have to say.... Dr. Ryu, the eye doctor was AMAZING like SERIOUSLY. AMAZING AMAZING. 10/10 He took his time explaining everything in simple, easy-to-understand terms, which really helped me learn a lot about my eyes and vision. I left feeling informed and enlightened. You can tell he truly cares about his patients and wants them to understand what's going on. There's not a lot of doctors that are like that'. This one is special. 10/10 amazing workers. They were helping me find what glasses looked nice on me and took their time helping me find a pair. 10/10 experience overall. I highly higly recommend going here for your yearly exam or check ups.

Every year, I see a different eye doctor, and this year, customer service has fallen apart. I came in for my yearly eye exam at the beginning of summer for my new contacts prescription, and changes had to be made; since they don't carry my brand, contacts had to be ordered. We are at the end of October 2024, and I still don't have a prescription. I have had to wait weeks for the trial contacts to come in, and I had to call them since they don't call me once they come in. Changes had to be made to my prescription, and new trial contacts had to be ordered again. I have been going back and forth since the eye doctor seems unable to get the right prescription dialed in as I wear multifocal lenses. To make matters worse, I am now finding out that the Moorpark office is only open on Tuesdays and Fridays. My adventures in getting a new prescription continue.

"I can see clearly now...." No really, I can finally see clearly now!…read more So here's the deal, and I'm being really serious here, I had been having an issue with my eyesight for a couple of years now. I had another eye doctor who was not treating my issue correctly. My eyes were constantly red, irritated and then my eyesight was blurred. So blurred that it has affected my every day life. I couldn't drive. I couldn't get any work done on my computer. It was awful. And then, the heavens opened up and I was introduced to Dr. Carrie Kubota and her incredible staff. From the moment I contacted their office, I could tell they really cared. They were able to squeeze me in as a first time patient. And when I left Dr. Carrie Kubota's office for the first time, I cried. She immediately saw the issue..... turns out I have three major issues. The doctor decided to tackle the first part, which is the severity of the blurry eyes and the irritation. As I write this review, I'm still in the process of correcting the irritation and the blurriness. Turns out the blurriness is caused from extreme dry eyes. She has a great solution for my dry eyes. And I should be able to start those treatments soon. The last issue, I simply need glasses. I have already recommended Dr. Carrie Kubota to many friends and colleagues. I am confident that you will love her as much as I love her. Simply stated Dr. Carrie Kubota cares deeply about her patients. And now, drum roll please, "I can see clearly now...."

Bought a frame here, supposedly portion of it will be covered by insurance but I end up paying $200 more for the frame which would cost me $150 while this place was giving $350. So not only I didn't save at all, but also paid extra. Such a great deal right? 2. Outdated equipment, I was a bit surprised to see warn off seats in their exam area and overall a bit worn off office. I mean if you overcharge, why don't buy some new furniture? 3. Asked to email me the receipt, lady was nice but was not surprised when I didn't receive anything and also shared that they sold me overpriced frame, she reassured she will talk to doctor, but been weeks and nothing. Again not surprised. Will never go back, there is nothing special and personable about this place, just higher prices and outdated equipment and furniture. I'd rather choose LensCrafters - at least they won't overcharge me

I was looking for a new optometrist since my previous one had moved and luckily I chose Dr. Feldman…read morerandomly out of a list of providers that accepted my vision insurance. It was such a good decision! My first interaction with his office was with his receptionist over the phone who was so kind and friendly! She got me an appointment quickly and was thorough about checking to make sure my insurance would be accepted by their office. It's my pet peeve when medical offices don't make sure that you aren't going to waste your time going to their office when they don't accept your medical insurance. When I arrived at the office it was the same receptionist I spoke with on the phone and she was just as friendly in person as she was on the phone. For me, the front office staff is always a reflection of the doctor who runs the office and there is nothing worse than arriving at a medical office for the first time and encountering a front office person who is rude or unfriendly. Luckily, she was the opposite! I barely waited at all when Dr. Feldman came out to greet me and invited me into the exam room. He was so personable and right away I could tell that he was going to be a kind and sweet person. He asked me a lot of questions about my eye history and was very thorough in his explanations in everything. He took much more time out to speak to me than most other optometrists I've ever been to. What struck me the most was his care for my financial comfort and giving me options to better fit my budget. Rather than pushing a more expensive contact lens brand or pressuring me to order glasses right then and there, he was very informative about my options and at no point did I feel pressured to buy anything. Almost every optometry practice I've ever been to has made me feel this way at some point or another. But Dr Feldman was only concerned about my eye health and what good practices I should get better at as far as my contact lens use goes. All in all, I've found my new optometrist! He was honest, kind, caring, informative and I am so glad I found him! If you are someone who is slightly nervous in medical settings, like me, and absolutely need your docs to have good bedside manner to feel ok, then trust me, go with Dr Feldman!

I am free from being chained to wearing daily glasses after having cataract surgery! It's been incredibly liberating for me after over 50 years in spectacles. What I do have now are a custom pair of reading glasses for low light conditions, like after-dark reading or watching videos on my phone. My optometrist created the prescription since my implant lenses are middle-to-far distance in one eye and close-to-middle in the other. Thus, off the shelf reading glasses don't work for me. My Costco pair works great! I usually don't need reading glasses when it's daylight, so I only use this pair after dark. I also have a special pair for night driving, although I don't always even have to wear them. When my eyes are tired from being on the computer too many hours, I can feel the need for those driving glasses. What's fun for me is that I can now buy just regular sunglasses; no prescription sunnies needed anymore. Even one pair of those I ordered from Costco Vision Center - I liked the lightweight frames and had them custom-made with sunglass lenses instead of corrective vision lenses. Such a deal for about $70 inclusive of frames and lenses! (Have you been to Sunglass Hut or the like for nice sunglasses lately? They are very pricey!) The staff members at this location have always been helpful and kind. The hardest part about coming here is that they are popular and sometimes there's a wait to be assisted. Otherwise, the prices are terrific and fulfillment goes pretty quickly.
