I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN! Look at my reviews- I don't say that lightly!…read moreHorrible customer service. I don't care how close this place is to my home, I will gladly drive to get better service! I got a new prescription and I realized about 5 months later that the reason I couldn't see my computer at work is because of my new prescription. I thought it was just my eyes getting worse since I was on vacation for the summer (3 months) until my friend gave me her glasses and I could see! I looked at her prescription and she had my OLD prescription!! I was so annoyed that I went that long not being able to see. I called and asked them to simply write me a script with my OLD prescription and explained why. They told me they would have to charge me $40 to simply write me my original prescription?!?! I said "really?! You guys got my prescription wrong and I have to pay to put it back?! She said yes because it had been past 30 days. I explained to her my situation and honestly, regardless- you got my prescription WRONG! That is a fair reason to fix it. I wasn't asking for another exam- just simply renew my old original prescription. Let's not forget the money I spent on new glasses with that bad prescription and I wasn't asking for that back. I just wanted my old prescription renewed. They refused. That alone shows me they do not care to correct their mistake. They only care about making money. A piece of paper does not cost $40! I'll take my business back to Target. Both the Moorpark and Simi locations are fantastic and have great customer service! I only came here because my medical covers the exam. I would rather pay for my prescription then have it done WRONG- spend $500 on new glasses and then be told they won't fix it for me with a piece of paper that takes 30 seconds to write. No thanks. Bye.

(Moorpark Location) Amazing!…read more Dr. Hammer and her staff, Natalie and Angel, couldn't be more phenomenal. As an experienced healthcare professional, providing outstanding care of service is something I pride myself with. I myself as a patient, client, and customer who also requests care services, I have to share my experience. My very first encounter was an initial phone call from Angel. There happened to be a miscommunication in appointment scheduling, which by no means were of fault by these three ladies. However, the approach, patience, and support Angel provided, really calmed the storm. Like many, Angel could have just ignored that this caused an inconvenience to my busy lifestyle and ask if I wanted to reschedule, take my yes or no and give the common ''okay, well bye'' type of service. But as her name reads ''Angel'', yes, that she was. She was genuine in her apology. She took initiative in finding how she can make my experience with Khanna Vision Institute much better than what I was currently going through. She offered her advice on how we can move forward and stated that she would look into my concerns. The genuine care Angel provided that day made me reschedule with them (mind you, I'm a new patient). That evening, I was online and once again looked up Khanna Vision. I noticed that one of my concerns I had online, were taken care of and what needed to be corrected, actually was, and that alone impressed me. She really spread her wings for me, flapped them once and I no longer had any concerns. I appreciate you. Thank you, Angel. Then there's Natalie. The Guru in identifying individuals best interests. She picked out my frames, however, that's not what impressed me. How she decided on what fit the best, looked the best, and how it can complement my purpose for them, was more than impressive. It was her genuine care towards my needs. Care that many of us look for. Her reasons were sound, and were not cliche ''omg, these are cute. They look good on you''. Nope, that was not her. She provided in detail as to why or why not certain frames were or were not going to complement my purpose for them. She even said ''No. Not those. To similar to your old ones, which you did not want. So, you won't wear them and that's going to frustrate you. Then you'll need to buy new ones and spend more money''. At that point, I asked myself '' Is this for real? Are they this AWESOME?'' Natalie was not trying to sell me high end frames. She was trying to advise me what worked best for my OWN purpose and reasons for them. She was so patient with me that I started to feel embarrassed on how long it took me to make a decision. Then she sat me down and worked her magic in properly sizing up both the fitting of the lens to the chosen frames. You're the shine to a diamond. Thank you, Natalie. OMG... last but definitely not least. Dr. Hammer. I'm seriously laughing and smiling just by the thought of our conversations in the exam room and thereafter. You are the BEST I EVER had assisting my eye care, thank you. Yes, I said it...''BEST EVER'', and just to let everyone know, I've been wearing glasses since grade school. Anyhow, Dr. Hammer educated me on many levels. She advised me with everything I needed to know, everything I did not know and everything I were suppose to know. Two of my biggest values are proper communication and caring for others. When Dr. Hammer spoke, I honestly believed I was listening to my twin. Dr. Hammer took her time with me. It was important to her that I was properly cared for and happy with my decision. Nothing was ever forced onto me. I asked some questions on certain directions that I wanted to take and explore towards the care of my eyesight. She went from A-Z, dotted her I's and crossed her T's with all the information she could give me. She was on point and I appreciate her time to educated me and her knowledge to guide me in the right direction. You are not just Dr. Hammer. You are my very own sight of light. As my eyesight deteriorates the older I get. Because of you Dr. Hammer, I no longer worry at the moment. I can't expressed how grateful I am to have my eye issues under your care. Thank you so much, Dr. Hammer. Team Khanna Vision in Moorpark. You don't have a new patient. You have a new friend. A new supporter. Someone that fully trusts you. I appreciate you three, immensely. The Moorpark location must be an auxiliary office. I saw one optometrist one day and then no optometrist another visit. It must be a rotating list. Industry Standard for wait times on products which is/was 3-4 weeks for my prescription lenses. Explanations of products and procedures are on a need to know basis. Meaning you only get them if you ask for them. This place was so much better when Dr. Wood was there. It has changed for the worse, unfortunately.

Before I went in her office, another lady took my sight level by looking through their machine that was showing a hot air balloon. I am free from being chained to wearing daily glasses after having cataract surgery! It's been incredibly liberating for me after over 50 years in spectacles. What I do have now are a custom pair of reading glasses for low light conditions, like after-dark reading or watching videos on my phone. My optometrist created the prescription since my implant lenses are middle-to-far distance in one eye and close-to-middle in the other. Thus, off the shelf reading glasses don't work for me. My Costco pair works great! I usually don't need reading glasses when it's daylight, so I only use this pair after dark. I also have a special pair for night driving, although I don't always even have to wear them. When my eyes are tired from being on the computer too many hours, I can feel the need for those driving glasses. What's fun for me is that I can now buy just regular sunglasses; no prescription sunnies needed anymore. Even one pair of those I ordered from Costco Vision Center - I liked the lightweight frames and had them custom-made with sunglass lenses instead of corrective vision lenses. Such a deal for about $70 inclusive of frames and lenses! (Have you been to Sunglass Hut or the like for nice sunglasses lately? They are very pricey!) The staff members at this location have always been helpful and kind. The hardest part about coming here is that they are popular and sometimes there's a wait to be assisted. Otherwise, the prices are terrific and fulfillment goes pretty quickly.
