Asked them to make the adjustment and they would not. they won't put a manager on the phone to discuss what happened, they will not provide an email address to submit a complaint. I am filing a complaint with the Medical Board of California. Anyone who wants to join in please do. First of all the parking area is bad, difficult to find a parking spot. I've gone to this place 3 times and I have never met the "doctor", I have been seen by a P.A.-C, who has been prescribing these creams to put on my face every night and I feel they are not working, I came here because this is the place I was referred to by my insurance. I wish I'd have seen the recent reviews before getting my first appointment. Also the waiting time is awful, they schedule too many patients on one day and they can't handle it. When I complained about the waiting time the first time, the nurse told me that the 20 mins waiting in the consultation room was "normal", very inconsiderate. My last appt was scheduled for 9:30 am (arrived 10 mins early) only one person was in the waiting room, so I thought I'll be call soon, after 20 mins waiting, I asked the receptionist when will I be called since my appt was at 9:30, she said "you're next", WRONG, someone else was called, there goes another 10 mins waiting. Meanwhile the nurse that calls the patients in is too busy with her phone texting. Finally I am called in and I complained again about the waiting, she said that was out of her control. This place is absolutely disgusting and unbearably unsanitary. It smelled so bad as soon as I set foot in there. The front desk girls also weren't the brightest and were very rude with too much attitude. I heard them talking bad about other possible clients which should honestly be against their scope of practice to talk like that about others. As soon as I walked into a room, it was FILTHY. I've never seen a place so dirty and vile. There were paper towels on the floor and used gauze as well. It's like they don't care if clients complain about their mess or not. I'm not sure what I was thinking going to this place I should've checked the reviews first, which now that I've read them, should've told me everything I needed to know. This is an extremely busy office. The waiting room is always overflowing into the hall. The parking is also packed and very hard to get. I have had a positive experience with the actual doctor. She is quick and kind. She asked me multiple times if I had any pain during my biopsy. Which I didn't have thanks to the numbing agent. read more

This has got to be the worst Dr's office I've ever been to. I just left, after waiting in the hallway for 15 minutes for them to open up and check us in, because the main intake girl gave me a last-minute cancellation. Allegedly, they just pulled my file and found out that I didn't have an extra health insurance authorization to my appointment which they set three weeks ago! She kept making excuses, saying that they didn't get any authorization back from my health insurance and that they just found out TODAY that I cannot come back for my appointment! They did not even give me a courtesy phone call yesterday which any other doctors office would do. I didn't even get a voicemail or see the missed phone call. And she said she called me right before lunch so even if I tried to call back, they would be gone. The phone call was at 12:59 PM I see now. I had to cut my kids playground time short just to rush all the way over here and find parking and get into the office ON TIME! I wasted gas. Their office is very unprofessional or not managed properly and I was rescheduled to this appointment because I was waiting in line out in the hallway, last time, and they couldn't come outside to ask whose appointment was next. People were coming in with appointments 30 to 40 minutes after mine which is not fair for me because I waited there for 15 minutes outside in the hallway. I am never coming back here again and I suggest you find another place with better parking situation and better staff that is more organized. My primary care doctor referred me to this dermatologist and it was my first time. My first day was already a little rough, as I was explaining my issues with my skin and they didn't really seem to care. It's like they had a default routine and prescribed it to everyone instead of focusing on unique concerns. Additionally, I was trying to get medication from this place but they were disorganized with their system. It led me to medication delays by months and it was an emergency. During that time, I was struggling with my condition while fighting for a solution. I thought this was the norm for a dermatologist's place but when I got a new one, I realized these people were just unprofessional. I was able to receive my medication the same day I went to my new dermatologist, whereas I had to wait months here and I never was able to get it. This place isn't really giving "Advanced Dermatology", it's more like "Unworthy Dermatology". The only positive thing I'll say is that there is one doctor who is professional but I can't say the same for the rest. Save your time and look elsewhere, I should've paid attention to the negative reviews, I had a bad scalp with acne all over, i walked in with pain, and all he could do was "Tylenol" (I went in February to get checked) this doctor (David Oppai) didn't even greet me, or looked at me in the face, he didn't even saw my condition and he assumed it was some other infection and was already talking about putting me on strong medication, he just wrote down some notes and basically didn't give a sh*t. They already canceled my appointments twice (I'm due for a biopsy) because apparently he is not going to be in anymore, so I have to wait another damn month to see him, thankfully my scalp is good but I still need to solve this issue because it keeps coming back...I am doing a complaint with my insurance, and if possible I will report him to CDI, he doesn't care obviously. Had a referral to get my skin rash check underneath my armpit. On the first appointment, Dr. Rosenberg didn't look at the condition of my skin and instead prescribed me all these medication to take. Obviously I didn't take them. I completed the allergy test though in October. I had to book an appointment to get my results. Couldn't get it through the phone. And today, I came in just to wait 30 minutes to be seen. Dr. Rosenberg was already writing my prescription down. And I asked for my results. He leaves the room & then comes back by shoving the paper in my face. He points and say " this is your issue." And I'm like so you're not going to explain what this is? I asked him how if this helping me understand what's going on with my arm pit skin. He talked over me,walked me out the room, and told me that it's my cat. I wish they hadn't because I waited 2 hours just to get a 1 minute check up on a skin condition and get a prescription. My appointment was at 10am, I got there at 9:40am. This place is an absolute joke. I have never in my life felt so mistreated until this visit just now. I'm never one to do this but it was so bad I'm sitting in the lobby typing this. My doctor esther came into the room and told me what the bump on my head was in 2 seconds with the most disgusted face and attitude about it. She made it sound so scary and bad and if the anti biotics don't do it I'll have to go back to get it cut and drained. I told her my primary doctor prescribed anti biotics and it didn't work so that's why I'm here and if it would be possible to skip the anti biotics again and make an appt to get it removed. I had an appointment over the phone and I never received my call, I called to let them know and they gave me another appointment, however, they never called me for that appointment either. I called them an hour after my initial appointment time and I waited for an hour to let them know that I never received the call. When I first called I was caller #9, I waited a whole hour until I became caller #1, the phone began to ring, thinking I was going to get helped. But then I get an automated voice saying that their voice mail box is full and they hung up. I also left a voice mail a couple of weeks ago, and I never received a call back. I tried calling the billing office as well, and they sent me to voicemail. It is very difficult to get a hold of them. The care I would receive at this Location was very mediocre and unprofessional. Experience circa 2011-2013 They OVERBOOK and you will wait 30mins to an hour past your appointment time. P.A. Sorensen answered a call from a child while he was removing a cyst from my face. I was just lying there with a cut in my nose and he whips his phone out to answer it mid procedure(mind you the call was not an emergency, just laughter and child play). I was on isotretinoin(claravis) for 10 months, and he never said it should not be taken for more than 3 months at a time. I went there every two weeks, paid out of pocket for consultations. He had plenty of chances to notice this mistake and when I mentioned the time I had been on it he said "oops" and immediately ceased the prescription. Took a slew oral medications for longer than the recommended time frame, and so many topicals, one gave me a chemical burn and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation which has not cleared even to this day. My cystic acne cleared with topical adapalene, and the right cleanser and moisturizer. Didn't need all those other meds or pay $100 every two weeks for an office visit for the course of a year and a half. The best thing I got here were shots for scar tissue healing and my adapalene prescription. I hope this (then) P.A. has improved since. Depending on your needs, it's probably best to come here only if you absolutely must and can't afford anywhere else. read more

I was referred here under my Medi-Cal so my review is based on low income plan, I have zero knowledge in visitation costs and medication. The waiting can on occasion be a pain, but sometimes I go in and there's basically no one in the waiting room waiting to be called. It probably depends on the day, time, and who will be seeing you. I've been seeing Thuy Vy Nguyen and she has been great at assisting all of my skin conditions. I have to say, I kinda wish the doctors actually examined the area as opposed to taking your word for it, because I can see people possibly taking advantage of their immediate willingness to prescribe medication. The only time I was ever looked at was when I have acne flare ups or when I had a hard bump on my leg. Otherwise, the doctors just take your word for it. The good thing is they do keep up with refills, so I never have issues with no more refills. And thankfully everything that my doctor had been helping me out with has been helping all my conditions tremendously, so I have a peace of mind knowing that I am being treated properly. Sidenote: the office and rooms are clean, I saw some posts where things were a mess but I personally haven't seen it during my visits. Next appointment I'll take photos of the current state. The rooms are always sanitized before patients go in and there's no equipment, tools, or bottles left out in the open. Maybe the pandemic made them cleaner lol Edit: March 29, 2022 It's been a month! Takes forever making a damn appointment And once you show up to your appointment time they don't call you in after a hour

(Now called "Rosenberg Dermatology"). I really wanted to like this place... I gave it so many chances, but unfortunately I can't recommend!! Go somewhere else. The staff there & the Physicians Assistant that saw me (Thuy Vy Nguyen) were nice enough, they were not rude to me -- but unfortunately the scheduling & timing of appts here is a MESS. No matter how long you end up waiting, you will only be seen for 5 mins. I tried to be patient, and thought "maybe it's a bad day, so they're running super behind" but no... I had to drive up here 3 separate times (it's not THAT close to where I live), and everytime, I was seen for 5 mins only. Other reviews on Yelp also have mentioned this issue re: the length of the appointment. It felt like the PA was rushed & that's one of the WORST things at a Dr's office, because you don't feel like all your questions get answered and/or, you don't even have time to ask! My PCP sent me here on a referral for my annual skin checkup, but since it's been a year since I've been to the dermatologist, and there's been A WHOLE pandemic/lockdown , my health has declined a lot, and therefore I also had some other skin concerns that I brought up during my appointment. I managed to rush through all my concerns, and while the PA was quite efficient & she did prescribe me something for one of my issues, once she wrote it, she stood up to leave... and I was like "wait I'm here for an annual skin check-up too though" ... And she somehow wasn't aware of that? even though the referral / authorization from my PCP literally says "annual exam" and the other things I was concerned about on the paper lol. She said, "okay just make a follow up appointment for 2 weeks, I don't have time to do it right now. Normally, patients only come in with A COUPLE questions." Like dang ok. So basically she made me feel bad that I had brought up multiple concerns, and i had to make a separate appointment... (It's a frickin ANNUAL SKIN CHECK UP, is it not normal to ask other questions I have about my skin?!! A lot can change in your body over the course of a year! Maybe some people are in perfect health & they come to the annual checkup with zero concerns & it's just a "maintenance" thing... but we're not all so lucky!) Anyways, the 2nd appt goes almost IDENTICAL to the 1st. I only got seen for 5 mins. I figured, since it was her suggestion I come back for the skin exam, that she wrote it down / would've been prepared to see me for a bit longer, but NOPE, she asked me about how things went w/ the prescription & the other initial concerns I came here for 2 weeks ago, and I gave her the updates as fast as I could, because I was expecting that we'd do the skin exam right after... however, after talking about the issues from the 1st appt, she stood up to leave & again, I was like "wait I'm actually here for the annual skin exam.. and actually that was the original reason for my appointment the first time, and you told me to come back." And AGAIN she says, "ok make an appt for 2 weeks, and I'll make sure they have it noted as a skin exam, I don't have time today." Omg, at this point, I was so shocked at this place... Like I literally told the person last time, when I booked my follow-up: "She didn't have time to check my skin, so she said to make another appt in 2 weeks for the exam". HOW DID THEY FUCK THAT UP. So, I come back a third time... at this point I KNOW I don't wanna come back here once this skin check is over. I'm going to ask my PCP whenever is the next time I need a dermatology referral, it's gotta be somewhere else!! She performs the skin exam, extremely quickly, so again she saw me for 5 mins, and this time I had a NEW concern that developed since the last time I was here, about my toenail. So I asked about it,& she said if you wanna get clippings next time you clip your toenails, we can send it to the lab. I asked if we could just do the clippings now, and she left the room to see if she could find nail clippers. She comes back in with a sterile bag, and leaves it on the counter & tells me to drop the clippings into the little vial, and they'll pick it up. Y'all, the nail clippers are HUGE! the nut-cracker looking ones that nail salons use... I'VE NEVER USED THAT BEFORE. Other dermatology offices I've been to, if I had a nail concern, they would do the clipping. I struggled for like 10 mins in that room, trying to get the damn clippings, bc the angle is sooo awkward when you're trying to do it to yourself. Anyway, WTF is all I'm gonna say about that. Conclusion: my total actual time for being seen by someone was 15mins, and that could've easily just been ONE APPOINTMENT. But I had to come here 3 times... Again, Thuy-Vy Nguyen seems competent & she wasn't rude, it's just the headache & inefficiency of this place!!! It wasted so much of my time. read more

This business also goes by the name Rosenberg Dermatology. I think they may be using Advanced to get away from the bad reputation of Rosenberg Dermatology. I have visited this place for two separate issues. The first time was a two-star experience (with a 90 minute wait despite showing up early for my appointment) but this time was more like half a star. Issues: Dirty office, even though I had the first appointment of the day. Doctor entered the exam room with his mask under his nose. Doctor had no identifying badge and didn't identify/introduce himself. I still have no idea what the man's name was as I didn't receive any exit papers upon leaving. Heck, he could have been a janitor! Doctor seemed to have no idea what he was doing. I happened to mention "biopsy" and he latched on to that. Of course, even though I was the only person there (no waiting) he couldn't do a biopsy (of a toenail!) that day. This involves a toenail clipping, that's all. I had to make a return appointment and another copay. Then I will have to make a THIRD appointment to get the results (and yet another copay). Meanwhile, he sent me to get a blood test. Based on the results, he said he write a prescription, but I would have to COME INTO THE OFFICE to pick up the prescription. Dude....I have a job. Why can't you call it in to the pharmacy like every doctor since, IDK, 2002? Week later, no prescription, I call them and the "voice mail is full" so I finally got a front desk person and left a message. I await their call back (sarcasm) which I fully expect to never receive. I would not trust/want this doctor (who didn't wear gloves) to do a biopsy on me so I will be starting over and getting a NEW referral from my primary care. Luckily this is just a toenail fungus, if I had an actual potential skin cancer, I'd be dead by now because it's taken 6 weeks just to get to this point. Avoid at all costs if you can! read more

I waited about an hour to be seen. I was there to get treatment for a contagious viral skin condition. The doctor walked in and put on some gloves and proceeded to ask what I was there for. She comes over to examine my leg and tells me "Oh no that's not *condition*, don't worry about it. It's just a pimple. You don't need treatment for that." and she took of her gloves and walked out and told me a nurse would be in to check in with me. When the nurse came in, I informed her that I wasn't satisfied with her service/diagnosis and if she could please take a second look, this time with a light. The doctor comes back in visibly annoyed, slaps on gloves, and rolls the light over. She determines that it isn't the skin condition that I've been diagnosed with 2 times by different doctors and says she can't treat me. This provider here was just truly incompetent and the whole experience was stressful. I would not recommend this place ever, at all. read more

I wish I read Yelp reviews before coming here. Was referred here from my pediatrician office because they took my insurance. This place is a joke! We went to see Dr Frederic Rosenberg. He doesn't even know what he's talking about. Brought my daughter in for her ear piercing that start to grow some keloid / scar tissue At first he suggested some oral antibiotics, which is weird. So I said no, then he suggest antibiotics ointment. When I asked what about steroid shots on the area, then he said ok we can do that. Now my question who is the doctor?? Me or you? After giving the steroid shot he was also suggesting to go in and cut the scar tissue if the shots doesn't work. Before I came in I did my research and my understanding was you're not supposed to cause any further trauma to any scar tissue as this would make them grow even more. He also said if that doesn't work then we can cauterize it. Sorry.. but NO... I really feel uncomfortable in this office. The room wasn't cleaned properly, alcohol bottle without lids. Especially with Covid-19 they were supposed to go above and beyond with keeping everything clean. I ended up taking my daughter 2 days later to a different dermatologist. I would give this zero stars if it was an option!! First off, the staff is disrespectful and do not care about the patients. Dr Rosenberg is a nice and caring doctor but his receptionists are really awful. I would not even bother coming here just because of the team the Doctor has. I would recommend this doctor ONLY if he had a better team. They NEVER answer the phone. I tried to reschedule my appointment and I tried calling all morning. I went into the office and all they said was "were on lunch from 1pm - 2pm" I explained I called way before that time and they didn't have anything to say. I asked if I could be seen because I am on this new medication and have not seen the doctor since I have started taking them. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE!! You're better off finding another doctor that you can actually get ahold of. What if I had a serious question or needed to speak with the doctor or anything ? They literally do not answer the phone EVER! When I got prescribed my medication, I went to CVS to drop off the prescription. It took them one entire week because the pharmacy needed to confirm my prescription and they did not answer the phone until I physically went into the office and told them CVS is not giving my medication because you guys are not answering the phone to confirm it. This place is not even deserve the one star, because of how bad they are don't get me wrong. Dr. Rosenberg is legit and cares about his patience but the rest of the team is literally the worst. If you don't like your job, then quit, I don't get why people hate their job and take it out on the customers/patients. At least care for the patients. I usually get a bad feeling about doctor offices when you walk in and the waiting room looks like the DMV. So as expected we waited about 45 minutes past our appointment time to be seen. We were eventually seen by a doctor who recommended a medication. The thing is they don't give you a prescription which you can fill on your own. You have to use a mail order service that they exclusively contract with. Fast forward one week, and we do not have the medication. We call ABC Pharmacy and they have no record of the prescription. They stated that this is a chronic problem with this medical clinic and that they do not respond to phone calls or texts, not even from them, the pharmacy! I have attempted to call Advanced but no one answers the phone. You are put on hold for about 15-20 minutes then sent to a messaging service that does not work. Absolutely ridiculous and this place really has no business being in practice. read more

Can never answer a call, they'll leave you waiting for minutes on hold just to not answer.

Appointment was at 8:20am waited more than 30 minutes to be called in. I was there before some people and they were called in before us. Copay was not collected when checked in and assistant had to go to the room to tell me i had a copay. This appointment was for my 5 year old and when Dr. was going to do the procedure he right away made a comment to my son that he was going to cry. This caused my son to start crying from fear when he wasn't scared prior. The Dr then proceeded to set up for the procedure & was having trouble taking out swabs he left in the solution which took him more than 15 minutes to figure out. I'm asking my primary doctor to find me another Dermatology office ASAP!!!! I was 100% HAPPY with the Treatment I received, my original PA (Nicole Stroud) and the wait time until August 2018!!! I started coming to this office in March 2018 with a bad case of Eczema on my legs and feet!! I had been using over the counter creams for flare ups because I was waiting for my insurance to start and once it did my primary picked/ insurance picked this location which isn't convenient for me and although the parking is FREE it's ATROCIOUS, the earlier you get there the better!!! Originally the wait time was about 15-20 minutes and in August it was an HOUR, in September UNBEKNOWNST TO ME I have a NEW PA because mine QUIT and I was never NOTIFIED, wait time was ONE HOUR AND 15 minutes, PA never introduced herself nor did she take a close look at my legs and she had No bedside manner, she says "keep doing what you're doing and I'll see you in 2 months"!! Thanks to Ms. Stroud whom ALWAYS SEEMED RUSHED BUT TOOK TIME TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS my Eczema flare ups have stopped and the spots are 95% GONE, this summer I'll be able to wear shorts, skirts, short dress, etc.,,,, for the first time in years!!!!!!!! I go in for " 2 month appt" on Jan 10th and yet again I'm waiting ONE HOUR AND 10 MINUTES and haven't been called yet I see people go in who came in way after me!!! I decided I'M DONE with this place because MY TIME is VALUABLE TO ME and even CHANGING my appointment date from Wednesday to Thursday didn't help!!!! I walked up to reception gave them my name told them I'm canceling my appointment and I won't be back due to the wait time!!!! If you want to WAIT from 1 to 1 1/2 hours in a FREEZING WAITING ROOM ,5 minute exam and drive around in the FREE parking structure for about 15 minutes for a spot or park across street at Walmart and take a chance on getting TOWED then by all means this is your place! read more

Not a great experience. I've been scheduled for appointments and I always get seen an hour later everytime. The front staff is rude and not understanding from the patients prespective. I was prescribe medicine since of 3/24/23 and my pharmacist has been trying to get ahold of my doctor up until now and no luck! Their phone system is horrible. They do not answer or return messages. I had to take time off from my job to stop by and leave a written mesaage. My message was never forwarded. Go figured! This is frustrating. This medical office does not care about their patients. They are over booked with patients and can not handle their appointments. I would not recommend this dermatologist to anybody. One star selected but not by choice. read more
