I, too, purchased a LivingSocial deal and was excited by the prospect of getting a new closet in my new house! However, I never actually got the chance to redeem this deal. Each time I called to schedule an appointment, my call was returned with a text or an e-mail. When I replied or called, Anton never called me back. Then I would randomly get a call/text saying that Anton was on his way, when we had never made an agreement to meet and when I wasn't even home! I would call, and I just couldn't get this guy on the phone to set up a legitimate appointment. To me, this is no way to run a business. I suspect that the guy is overwhelmed by the number of deals purchased through LivingSocial, but still, that's no way to get repeat customers or referrals. I feel that the way someone treats his customers is a direct reflection on his quality of work, and based on this experience, I wouldn't let Anton within 100 yards of my closet, even despite the nice pictures on his website. In the end, I was forced to call LivingSocial and get a refund, which means I'm now stuck with a $200 credit on their website because I was outside the cash refund period. read more

We used Advanced Custom Cabinets based on recommendations from numerous friends, who were extremely happy with the results. I can honestly say we did not regret that decisions. The process was pretty easy and communication was great the whole time. Gene, the owner, came out for a couple of hours almost immediately after I initially called him. He listened to ideas, gave suggestions, showed sample work and took measurements. The whole process took approximately 2 hours. I want to say maybe a week later, he sent 3D sketches of the proposed work with pricing. It was very convenient to have that on hand as it could be hard to visualize the finished product. He then came out again and we ironed out some details as well as picked finishes etc. I can say that he was extremely accommodating around our busy schedules filled with kids activities. The pricing was really good and we were able to receive a discount based on the number of projects that were done in our house. We had plans for two master closets (his and hers), a mud room and an office. The installation took place about 4 weeks after initial consultation and lasted only two days! Although I was not home, my husband said it was seamless. Everything pre-assembled for easy delivery and installed with no issues. We ended up loving everything. The closets let us maximize space and efficiency. There are features I didn't know existed! For example sliding tie and belt hangers. We had laundry bins installed and my fear of them being too small proved to be completely false. They are absolutely perfect and let us keep at least two weeks worth of dirty laundry hidden away. The office unit is floor to ceiling, modern constructions with glass. It was smartly designed with having to hide wires and internet router. The mud room closets and shelving gave us lots more closet space and a nice introduction into the house with room for shoes and kids coats. A few months after the installation I realized that the two large drawers in the office wall unit were not finished with a base for hanging folders. I contacted Gene and he came out to measure and finished those as well with no questions asked. I would highly recommend Advanced Custom Cabinets. When the bar and shelves on my spare bedroom closet came crashing down, I grabbed the Living Social deal to replace it. I was a bit skeptical at first, but was pleased with the prompt return phone call after leaving a message. The installer arrived to the appointment prepared and put me at ease. He provided all the options and pricing. I went with the basic installation for the spare bedroom, but ended up doing a total of four closets which included my master bedroom. I LOVE the organization, especially my master bedroom closet. I can find all of my clothes now. My daughter's closet is also nicely organized, as is the coat closet. I recommend this vender and have already referred my friends. I know that when we eventually sell the house, this will be a huge selling feature! read more

BAIT and SWITCH and SHODDY INSTALLATION! I, too, purchased the Living Social deal and was looking forward to a product that was similar to the picture in the advertisement. The consultation showed that the offer was really for a modest 6' system which would barely house 1/3 of the items in our closet. We were upsold to a $1500 unit for our closet, which is all well and good, but the work done on our system is rather shoddy. The system is not plumb and the vertically hanging dividers veer to the left very noticeably. This was discovered later in the day after the unit was installed. I was told that there was nothing that could be done about it as my 1940s house is not perfectly square. Well, my question is, if something is hanging vertically and is not being bolted into the wall, shouldn't it hang in plum in accordance of the laws of gravity? The installer refused to a return visit to fix the system or to review the situation. Very disappointed. read more

I feel very jerked around by both Advanced Custom Cabinets and Living Social. I bought the deal, and I bought it thinking that I would pay more for the space I have. The deal through Living Social is a 6 foot custom closet or storage. I have a space that is 80"x33" so I imagined a very affordable addition to what was offered. I was told it would be $1000 total for what I wanted and the Living Social gave me a $450 credit. It's so hard to believe that a solution made of laminate is $1000. Anyway, I've had a lot of back and forth and still no design and quote via email. Living Social is no help (they are awful and plain don't care what happens with the deals they promote). I'm still trying to get to a solution with Advanced Custom Cabinets, but it's not easy and not nearly what I expected from the advertised promotion on Living Social. I wanted to review because Living Social is posting this deal yet again. If I want to give this company the benefit of the doubt, they are stretched too thin right now. That said, they shouldn't be offering this deal again if they can't service the customers coming to them from the last time Living Social offered it. Buyer BEWARE. read more

I bought a voucher for a 6 foot custom closet through Living Social, and couldn't be happier with the end result. My phone call to redeem my voucher was promptly returned, and my in-home consultation promptly scheduled. Anton came on time, measured everything quickly, and gave me suggestions for adding on to the basic 6 foot unit I'd purchased to make the adjacent closets actually work well instead of being the black holes they currently were. He showed me a 3-D rendering of the design we'd discussed right there, and prepared the construction contract and e-mailed it to me within one day for my e-signature. On the construction day, again, he showed up exactly on time, and did the entire job in only 2 hours of the 4 hours he had conservatively estimated. The work was precise, beautiful, and accurate, and Anton even swept and made sure everything was clean and perfect before he finished. I am completely satisfied with the work and the excellent service, and will be calling again the next time I need any closet or cabinet work done. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

I had to reschedule the installation quite a few times due to my work schedule but it wasn't a problem at all, they were very kind. The actual installation was very quick! I paid 600 for a closet to be built, paid 200 from Living Social, and 400 deposit. Gene keeps canceling and is yet to build my baby closet.
