We had no idea how many decisions would be involved in a floor-to-ceiling renovation to make our penthouse a place we are proud to call home. April was the creative professional we had hoped we could find! Her enthusiasm, instincts, experience technical skills and follow through were exactly what we needed, all at a very reasonable price. We discussed priorities, then she measured our tiny home and created a design that she adjusted for us along the way, using a technology-based program that helped us understand and visualize how all the components were going to work and look together. She also developed storyboards for us to use to discuss and research color, lighting, furniture, and accessories. She recommended our bedroom furniture, which we love! Every time I turn around I find out more instances where I was lied to and if I could, I would take them to court. For when you are buying a home you need to have trust. They are smooth talkers and have done a lot of business in this town but when the foundation is built on lies...well need I say more. The other thing that I find very interesting is that they themselves don't own a home here. I checked the property records. When I meet them they were renting. They are obviously still renting just making a tidy profit selling. But not willing to really any skin in the game. The real estate industry here is full of the good olde boys and girls. If you try to sell your home without one of them they don't want to show it to a client (they tag team and only sell within their own groups) I had that happen when I asked about a home which was for sale by owner, he refused to show it to me. I reget I didn't pursue it on my own. Another thing that happens if one of their group is not interested your home might sit for a year. I was also told that homes could not be architecturally changed (which is not necessarily so). There is HARB part of the city you go talk with them about historic homes. But they knew that. Didn't share the info. I was told they asked the neighbors about purchasing additional square feet on their adjoining property (neighbors never had that conversation with anyone). The seller's relator never showed up even at closing. My relator had a friend who worked for the builder. I saaid I didn't Ike the reviews oof the builder. I was told not to worry. I was lied to. I could go on and on. My advice find a company in Jacksonville.

Stayed this week at Vilano Beach area in a house managed by turnkey. We started out with a bedroom…read morewith no power. Attempted to reset breakers but were unsuccessful. The NEXT day when someone came we found we had not turned the breaker off far enough. The room was reset by turnkey the next day but three days later the breaker went again. We were able to reset the breaker ourselves this time. The pool at the house was never cleaned well. There were multiple ceiling lights out in the home. The expectation that dishes should be not only washed but put back in cabinets before leaving is unreasonable with a 10am checkout and using the dishwasher. (I would hope use of the dishwasher is expected so dishes and flatware are sanitized.) The documents we received stated also "We will gladly extend early checkin and late checkout." Neither was available when requested. We did get prompt removal of a hornet nest. I loved the location and the house but will not rent from a turnkey managed home again.
