True expertise! Michelle listened to my preferences (or lack of) and chose colors and styles that completely matched us all while fully upgrading the look of our home. Michelle is a color emergency lifesaver! We had a project scheduled 6 months out. Our contractor came to do final measurements on a Thursday and informed us that he had a delay on another job and could start ours on Monday. We were now in scramble mode to make final decisions. Our biggest hurdle turned out to be our paint color. We picked a few and then solicited the opinion of way too many people. We ended up with 6 colors and were not entirely sold on any of them. We are now in full panic mode. It is 7:00 PM on Friday night and we need paint by Monday morning. I went to Yelp and searched for "Interior Design color". Inspired By Design came up. I checked out Michelle's portfolio and liked what I saw. I gave Michelle a call and explained that we had a "color emergency". I asked Michelle if she would be able to come by on Saturday or Sunday. Although she had plans, Michelle was able to juggle them and stopped by on Saturday morning at 11:00 AM. Michelle showed up on time and started to get our thoughts on color and the direction we wanted to go. We walked her through all of the samples on the wall and explained our thoughts. She said she knew our color after being in our house for 5 minutes. It was not one of our many samples already on our walls. Michelle showed us a sample and we immediately liked it. She also suggested a color for our front door. We had not even thought about that. Michelle solved our "color emergency" in 1 hour! Every day my wife comments how much she loves the colors. Michelle followed up several times to ensure that we were happy with her suggestions. The whole experience with Michelle was awesome! It was like talking to an old friend. For those of you who have trouble focusing in on what you want in a store FULL of different styles, textures, price points, etc. etc. take Michelle with you! She was a calm addition to my overwhelmed brain and was able to stop me from pressing the "panic button" when shopping for the accessories for my bedroom. Normally I come home empty handed, but with Michelle's help I came home with numerous items that are going to be perfect and my husband rated them high scoring as well!!!!" My bedroom has turned from a mismatched combination of hand-me-downs to a calm, beautiful space I love to end the day in. I have worked with Michelle for several years now from choosing paint to transforming my living room into a lovely, comfortable space and I look forward to our next project-the office/guest room. Michelle did an amazing job on my dining room. She listened to what I wanted, helped me stick to my budget, and went with me to various stores to pick out items. She researched furniture pieces, rugs and art work for me, and helped me create a beautiful space! I would highly recommend her! In addition, she is available for paint consultations. Michelle is a lifesaver! My husband and I just moved into the area and we have a very busy schedule. As a busy mother of three, I had no time to get our new home decorated. When I learned that relatives were going to be visiting us for the holidays, I knew I needed help, so I contacted Michelle. She was great! She kept style and function in mind and gave us a home the whole family is proud of. Our relatives found our home warm and inviting and were very impressed to say the least. I have worked with Michelle (Inspired by Design) for the past few years and she is fabulous! She has great ideas, works with any budget, doesn't make fun of some of the prints or "treasures" that I must keep in my house that have personal meaning and don't match anything else. She will spend an hour or the entire day (and we have done both!). Big jobs or small jobs - it doesn't matter. She has done research for me when I don't have the time or energy or desire to look for a specific light fixture. She refers great people to help, like painters and window treatment vendors. Michelle is so easy to work with. She listens and makes sure she understands what you want, but gentle guides and recommends if she has ideas that she knows would work better. She can look at a room and provide a fresh idea that transforms it from plain to spectacular. I can't imagine working with anyone else. read more
