I found Le Blue Goose online and email them about getting an estimate. They came out very quickly and sent me an estimate days after. We were happy with the estimate but never got around to do this until 6-7 months later. Our bathroom just recently finished, we are still very satisfied with the outcome. It looks very clean and elegant. There was definitely some hiccups along the way, leading to 1.5 weeks longer than expected, but we didn't mind it.

I did speak to other designers and contractors but there was no one who could design and get it build in our timeframe. We got the design ready within two weeks and permits filed. I thought that was incredible. The project was completed a little later than we expected, given a lot of surprise in Philadelphia's old buildings. Harshil was on top of all the work orders and change orders (there were atleast 10 change orders). Everything was documented and explained in details. I am glad we got to work with Le Blue Goose, they truly took care of all the hiccups. Now they are working on a few other projects of ours. I will highly recommend them for any design/construction work.

I started my kitchen renovation by ordering appliances and cabinets since those have the longest lead times. Choosing the remaining items--countertop, backsplash, and hardware--was much more difficult than I imagined. With all the materials, patterns and color variations, the infinite combinations were overwhelming. After three weeks of frustration, I ended up seeking professional help from Charla. She was able to quickly help me ground my vision around the big items that I'd already purchased. She cleared the clutter from my mind and clearly highlighted the best color and material options for me to consider. If I could go back in time, I would definitely have engaged with Charla sooner. I'm just grateful she was still able to rescue me so effectively midway through my project.

At some point the conflict between design and selling cabinets comes up. There are things in the design of our kitchen that are difficult to explain without the justification of selling another cabinet. We also had problems with measurements that were wrong. The cabinets were changed but this caused several weeks of delays. We also had a terrible experience with the contractor that they recommended, who wasted our time and money. He was working at a very slow pace and never brought qualified workers. They were a couple of teachers doin spare change during summer, an art school student, and a tile installer out of his depth. They were all nice people, by the way. But no the kind of workers you expect a contractor to bring to your house. We ended up with dozens of floor tiles with chipped borders and bathroom tiles that are crooked. The bathroom toilet moves to this day, they chipped the finish in the bathroom faucet, the laundry faucet is not well installed, some light switches were never installed.I also spent several weekends doing his work to try and speed up the work. I did painting and grouting. I helped to install the front door, the oven, and the fridge. I installed locks and handles. I cleaned every night and I disposed of trash. I can keep going but you get the picture. To be fair, the contractor does not work for Performance Kitchens. But he was recommended by Performance Kitchens
