The new insurance company, found by my insurance agent, came and did an inspection, and my old wood burning cookstove, even tho not having been operated in maybe 30- 35 years, is still in perfect operating order. Andrew and Jarrod from Top Hat arrived when scheduled, performed the necessary inspection requirements in a timely and professional manner, and both possessed great 'bedside manner' (as we say about doctors) .... I received their thorough report early the next morning, along with a filled out questionnaire from the insurance company .... In our experience, FyrePro has not stood behind their products. Which is strange as when Jeff was on-site quoting the project he said they used high quality products that were windproof and we wouldn't have any problems. After we paid for the first repair of the chimney cap, it failed again. This time Cat told us the manufacturer didn't cover high winds. That didn't solve our problem. The installation and repair guys are great, as is the insert. But this being Colorado, I think they should have a much better plan and solution to this ongoing issue with the cap.
