The new insurance company, found by my insurance agent, came and did an inspection, and my old wood burning cookstove, even tho not having been operated in maybe 30- 35 years, is still in perfect operating order. Which is strange as when Jeff was on-site quoting the project he said they used high quality products that were windproof and we wouldn't have any problems. After we paid for the first repair of the chimney cap, it failed again. This time Cat told us the manufacturer didn't cover high winds. That didn't solve our problem. The installation and repair guys are great, as is the insert. But this being Colorado, I think they should have a much better plan and solution to this ongoing issue with the cap.
