They quickly varied issues with the thermocouple and thermopile. The tech had the parts on his truck and changed them out. Then he did a full on service and cleanup of everything. They sent us a bill by email for payment by credit card or check, trusting their customers to make payment. This is a refreshing approach to business in Truckee.

We were dealing with a leak at our fireplace chase and cap, and unlike the other companies we contacted, Michael actually went up on our two-story roof to assess the issue firsthand. Others didn't even bother to get on the roof. He thoroughly checked our cap and flashing, confirmed what was in good shape, and clearly explained what was needed to be fixed. We also had an added complication--our solar panels run right to the edge of the fireplace. Several companies refused to even consider the job unless we removed multiple panels (and none had even gone on the roof to look). Michael said it wasn't a problem, brought out scaffolding, and handled the job safely without requiring any panel removal. Within a week, he had a new chase manufactured and professionally installed. The craftsmanship, communication, and overall service were outstanding. If you want someone who truly knows their trade, offers fair pricing, communicates every step of the way, and shows up when he says he will, Michael is your guy. Highly recommend America's Chimney Sweep.

He actively communicated with me via text, trying to fit me into the schedule--multiple times. Was really going out of his way. Just fantastic follow-up and follow-through. Jorge's level of service--EXCEPTIONAL. Kind and considerate, and went the extra mile multiple times. We were having an issue with our dryer telling us our vent was blocked. Jorge checked the vent from outside the house, explaining what he was seeing as he cleared out whatever he could find. Since that didn't fix the dryer issue, the dryer company sent out a (pretty lazy) service person, who took a brief look and said it was still the vent. Jorge offered to come back and take another look, even going down in the crawl space to disassemble and reassemble the dryer vent to see what else he could find. Nothing. It's actually the dryer that has a wonky sensor--thanks to Jorge's genial hard work, we now know this definitively. Thanks guys.
